For Sale: My Dad’s 1949 Buick Road Master, Model 71. 50,982 original miles. Car is all original. No Rust. Very straight. Two small dents, one on top of right front fender the other is on the left top of trunk lid. My dad is the 3rd owner. Runs and drives well. Straight 8 with Dynaflow transmission. Doors open and shut like new. Very nice original interior. Car needs some TLC do to my Dad’s declining health. Some of the weather stripping needs replaced. Transmission leaks some. This is a perfect parade car as is, or a great car for a full restoration. Extra parts are in the trunk, We also have the Factory Sun Visor that mounts on the outside of the car above the windshield. Believe it's an original option that came with this car. Same color. Dad had stripped some parts off another 1949 Buick. I have three pages of hand written narrative of life of the car, including how car got oil changed every 1000 miles with 7 quarts of 20W-20W Kendall oil. The original owners name and second owners’name. I have close to 70 pictures that I will gladly send pics to any interested party. GM to offer 2 years free maintance on most 2014 models
Thu, 06 Jun 2013A day after Ford announced it was scaling back the complimentary maintenance program for its Lincoln brand, General Motors has gone in the completely opposite direction, offering most of its 2014 lineup with free maintenance. Since 2011, Cadillac models have all come with a four-year/50,000-mile complimentary maintenance program, but Chevrolet, Buick and GMC vehicles will now come standard with free maintenance for two years or 24,000 miles for the 2014 model year.
The program will give vehicle owners and lessees free oil changes, tire rotations and 27-point inspections following the recommended maintenance schedule laid out in each vehicle's owner's manual. We contacted GM to see which vehicles were eligible for the program, and a spokesperson got back to us with the following comment:
"All 2014 models are eligible, it's just that the included services vary by model, e.g., Spark EV would not need oil changes, Corvettes don't recommend tire rotations."

Buick really wants us to know the new Cascada convertible won't leak
Thu, Apr 16 2015Quality testing on the factory floor is nothing to joke about. Automakers need to make sure the work being done is up to snuff, and that means some extensive checks. For Buick, that means using a lot of water for each of its Cascada convertibles. Each vehicle that rolls off the floor is subject to a high-pressure, ten-minute soaking that sprays nearly 20 gallons of water from each nozzle during every bath, just to guarantee the fabric roof hasn't sprung any leaks. For some reason, Buick has chosen to show off this testing with the help of what we imagine is the Gorton's Fisherman's baby cousin. Check out the strange testing video, available up top.
