You are bidding to purchase a 1996 Buick Roadmaster Estate 5 door Collectors Edition station wagon that has been driven on average less than 2,600 miles per year far less than 15,000 the industry average. These miles are confirmed thru Car Fax,Auto Check, the prior owner and without question the very clean condition of the vehicle. These are the kind of miles you would normally find on very pricey 2012 and 2013 models but hardly ever on a 1996.

                                                       *****************************

In these difficult economic times we feel the fairest way to sell this automobile is to let you the buyer set the price, yes you. After all isn't that the best way to buy,you price it?

                                                        *****************************

The Buick Roadmaster  wagon has pleased it's many loyal owners over the years and continually does so today. They are recognized as the ''ultimate'' in the full size luxury wagon market and deservadly so.With their luxurious ride,9 passenger capability, enormous cargo area (you can fit a 4x8 sheet of plywood with the rear door closed),more than generous fuel mileage @ 18 city-23 highway, safety, dependability and one of the few automobiles appreciating on the market every year they are sure to stay at the head of the class.

                                                       ****************************

We find this Roadmaster clean from front to rear with absolute minimal cosmetic imperfections (EG:dings, dimples, scuffs ect.)We see no corrosion on the doors, fenders, pannels or underneath. All lenses, trim and moldings are clean and straight. The finish still waxes to a very nice luster. The windshield is clear and clean showing no stone bruises, cracks or wiper mar. There are a very fresh looking set of all season steel belted radials riding on the original factory alloys that show no curb or road rash. The interior is neat and tidy and as clean as you are ever likely to find on any vehicle of this vintage. It is quite evident that this vehicle has never been smoked in,eaten in or used to carry pets.So rare and so refreshing.

                                                       ****************************

Mechanically this vehicle is sound. The well proven 5.7L V8 SFI engine fires to life with the click of the key coming to idle at specs. We see no oil leaks or smoke around the block or from the exhaust. On the drive the acceleration is strong, the front end is tight and pleasing and the automatic transmission shifts on point thru the gears. The brakes stop the car confidently with no pull or shudder. The air conditioner works quietly while producing excellent cooling throughout the cabin. We see no issues with the power windos, automatic power door locks, power seats, cruise control, original sound system or safety features. It is quite evident that this very handsome vehicle has been well looked after and if continued by the next fortunate owners they can expect many many miles and many years of trouble free service.

                                           ******************************

Whether you need a roomy family automobile,a great car for that upcoming well deserved vacation or just a very wise investment into the collectors car market this beauty should fit the bill,no question. Please keep in mind vehicles of this vintage in this condition with these kind of miles are extremely rare and very hard to find so don't let this ''ONCE IN A LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY'' pass you by and remember 1 owner vehicle are al;ways a better value because they are consistently driven and usually always maintained.Don't forget ''LAST BIDDER TAKES IT'.Bid confidently you have found a gem. Please understand that this is not a show car but we believe it is cleaner than 99.9% of any others of this vintage you may find.

Avista concept shows Buick's performance potential [w/video]

Mon, Jan 11 2016

With names like Wildcat and Riviera in its past, Buick knows how to make a good-looking performance machine. It's just been awhile. But the Avista concept revealed Sunday night ahead of the Detroit Auto Show suggests Buick's sporting heritage might be more than relegated to grainy photos. The Avista is a 2+2 sports coupe running a twin-turbocharged V6 cranking out 400 horsepower through the rear wheels. Look familiar? It should, as it reprises many of the design cues from Buick's last show-stealer, the Avenir, which debuted a year ago in Detroit. "The Avista embodies the dynamic soul of Buick," said Duncan Aldred, vice president of global Buick sales, service, and marketing. "It is a modern expression of the brand's heritage of sophisticated performance, communicated with beautiful elegance." The front end features a prominent grille with Buick's newly colored tr-shield as the centerpiece. It's flanked by wings that stretch out horizontally and edgy headlights that portend the appearance of future Buicks. There's an aggressive fascia, chrome-trimmed vents, and it all rolls on 20-inch wheels. The Avista has a 110.7-inch wheelbase (which is the same as the Chevy Camaro), and the tracks measure 63 inches in front and 62.9 inches in back, which Buick says makes for a sporty stance. The B-pillarless cabin conjures the open layout of great boulevard cruisers of days gone by. It's done up in gray leather punctuated with carbon-fiber and aluminum accents. Yep, Buick does know how to do performance. In case you forgot, the Avista is a strong reminder of the past, and it offers hope for the brand's future. Watch the live unveiling in the video below. Buick Introduces Avista Concept Design elegance, performance heritage conveyed in turbocharged 2+2 coupe DETROIT – Ahead of its public debut at the North American International Auto Show, Buick today revealed the Avista concept – a 2+2 coupe that pushes the brand's contemporary design ethos and rekindles its historic performance roots. A sleek, sweeping proportion is the foundation for this vision of a contemporary grand tourer, with a 400-horsepower twin-turbocharged V-6 driving the rear wheels and a driver-focused cockpit offering a comfortable, connected center of control. "The Avista embodies the dynamic soul of Buick," said Duncan Aldred, vice president of Global Buick Sales, Service and Marketing.

Here are all the cars GM is axing as part of its restructuring

Tue, Nov 27 2018

GM plans to kill off a couple of great and a few meh cars as part of its restructuring. Here's a rundown of all the cars being phased out of production. None of the vehicles GM axed were SUVs or crossovers. Instead, it was an action reminiscent of what Ford recently decided to do by discontinuing U.S. sales every Blue Oval sedan. GM just didn't explicitly say, "We're killing our cars," like Ford did — probably a smart move by GM. Keep scrolling down to see the full list of deceased GM models. Chevrolet Volt This one was the most surprising of all the cars GM decided to can, primarily because cars with plugs are supposed to be our future. However, maybe consumer demand just isn't quite there yet for a plug-in like the Volt. We came up with all sorts of ideas for what was to blame for the untimely demise of the Volt, so go check that out for a full breakdown of the situation. Cadillac CT6 Here's another car we'll be sad to see go. Cadillac's flagship sedan was such a joy to drive, and it served as the conduit to deliver GM's semi-autonomous Super Cruise system, which still hasn't been surpassed by any other company's technology in our books, even Tesla's Autopilot. That being said, GM does plan to produce the CT6 until March, with the last cars coming off the line set to be twin-turbo V8 V-Series models. If it's going to go, this seems like a pretty great way to make an exit. We'll be patiently awaiting the next flagship Cadillac once this one finally fades away. Chevrolet Impala The Impala is actually a pretty good car. It doesn't sell terribly, and we think it's a completely satisfactory car to drive. However, people would rather have a Traverse or Equinox these days, making the Impala one of the vehicles to find itself on this list. Chevrolet is keeping its smaller brother, the Malibu, but a big, full-size sedan just isn't what people are ordering up these days. It's unfortunate to see it go, but we won't be broken up over it. Chevrolet Cruze We wouldn't rank the Cruze at the top of the compact car class, but if you were looking for a small, cheap American car, it was either this or the Focus. The Cruze had the potential to be a true small performance car if Chevy had ever wanted to make it into one. But sadly, we're seeing it bow out before Chevy ever tried to slot a hot engine and suspension in there to make it competitive with other hot hatches. A Cruze SS would have made enthusiasts take notice.

A car writer's year in new vehicles [w/video]

Thu, Dec 18 2014

Christmas is only a week away. The New Year is just around the corner. As 2014 draws to a close, I'm not the only one taking stock of the year that's we're almost shut of. Depending on who you are or what you do, the end of the year can bring to mind tax bills, school semesters or scheduling dental appointments. For me, for the last eight or nine years, at least a small part of this transitory time is occupied with recalling the cars I've driven over the preceding 12 months. Since I started writing about and reviewing cars in 2006, I've done an uneven job of tracking every vehicle I've been in, each year. Last year I made a resolution to be better about it, and the result is a spreadsheet with model names, dates, notes and some basic facts and figures. Armed with this basic data and a yen for year-end stories, I figured it would be interesting to parse the figures and quantify my year in cars in a way I'd never done before. The results are, well, they're a little bizarre, honestly. And I think they'll affect how I approach this gig in 2015. {C} My tally for the year is 68 cars, as of this writing. Before the calendar flips to 2015 it'll be as high as 73. Let me give you a tiny bit of background about how automotive journalists typically get cars to test. There are basically two pools of vehicles I drive on a regular basis: media fleet vehicles and those available on "first drive" programs. The latter group is pretty self-explanatory. Journalists are gathered in one location (sometimes local, sometimes far-flung) with a new model(s), there's usually a day of driving, then we report back to you with our impressions. Media fleet vehicles are different. These are distributed to publications and individual journalists far and wide, and the test period goes from a few days to a week or more. Whereas first drives almost always result in a piece of review content, fleet loans only sometimes do. Other times they serve to give context about brands, segments, technology and the like, to editors and writers. So, adding up the loans I've had out of the press fleet and things I've driven at events, my tally for the year is 68 cars, as of this writing. Before the calendar flips to 2015, it'll be as high as 73. At one of the buff books like Car and Driver or Motor Trend, reviewers might rotate through five cars a week, or more. I know that number sounds high, but as best I can tell, it's pretty average for the full-time professionals in this business.
