1993 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon Wagon 4-door 5.7l on 2040-cars
Skaneateles, New York, United States
This is a 1993 Buick Roadmaster Estate wagon with 191,477 miles. It has the 350 engine ( not the Corvette engine ) It’s on the road, inspected and ready to drive away. It is originally a Pennsylvania car so it hasn’t had the New York winters. I have owned the car for 6 years and it’s always been put up in my garage for the winter and I’ve never driven it in the snow. It has 4 matching tires on it that I bought new with less than 5 thousand miles on them. The radiator, fuel pump and sending unit were all replaced within the last 4 years. It has leather interior which is in very good shape. I also have the owners manual. It does not have the third row seating. A couple pieces of the rubber trim have come off and I have those pieces. The only known issues that I can find are as follows; the back gate can only be opened with the key, for some reason the fob stopped working for that though it works for all the doors except the passenger door on the drivers side which for some reason is stuck in the lock position, the headliner on one small section in the rear is loose and though the horn works part of the horn plate is broken though I also have that part. The rear quarter panels have had work done on them at some time and some rust is showing. Why am I selling it ? I had this car and a Toyota Sienna with no bank payments, now I have this car and a Nissan Quest with a bank payment so somebody has to go. I’ve priced this car very reasonably and feel very comfortable that someone will get a great second car or a daily driver. These cars were built to go the distance and everyone knows the 350 is a fantastic engine. If you have questions you can email me; joewhiting@roadrunner.com or call me @ 315-558-3028 anytime. |

Opel Cascada close to getting green light for US
Fri, 13 Sep 2013For a company with a long tradition of grand touring convertibles, it's almost unseemly that General Motors doesn't offer a properly relaxed four-seat convertible in North America. There's the Chevrolet Camaro, of course, but it's not big on rear-seat space and it doesn't offer that sort of serene demeanor that many open-air buyers crave. We're thinking of something more refined and, dare we say, elegant. Something a bit closer to the Opel Cascada.
The General's front-wheel drive convertible went on sale in Europe this year, and while it seemed like a natural fit for its Buick brand in America, it's never been sold here. That may be about to change, however. Back in June, CEO Dan Akerson hinted he'd like to see the Cascada available in the US, and now there's word from Edmunds that importation "could happen soon." That's according to an unnamed insider at the company.

Junkyard Gem: 1990 Buick Reatta
Wed, Oct 4 2017General Motors built some interesting sporty cars during the late 1980s and early 1990s, as the company attempted to claw back market share from European manufacturers of high-end two-doors. There was the mean-looking Oldsmobile Trofeo, the Turin-to-Hamtramck Cadillac Allante, and the gadget-packed Buick Reatta. Here's an example of the latter car, wearing Maui Blue paint and residing in a Denver self-service wrecking yard. There was a lot to like about the Reatta, but the powertrain came as a disappointment: the ancient, rough-running pushrod Buick 3.8-liter V6 engine, driving the front wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. The 3800 engine made 165 horses in 1990, which wasn't bad for that year, but Reatta money would have bought you a new 1990 BMW 3-Series with a tuneful 168-horse DOHC straight-six. The Buick V6 was something of an Albanian grain-thresher motor compared to the engines in the Reatta's European rivals' cars: rugged but crude. The pre-1990 Reattas came with Buick's amazing touchscreen computer interface, which may have scared off the most conservative Buick traditionalists. This car had more typical-for-1990 controls. Only 6,388 Reatta coupes were made for 1990, so we're looking at one rare Buick here. Handcrafted by these artisans in Lansing. Buick Envision cabin detailed ahead of reveal later this month
Sun, 17 Aug 2014Buick teased the arrival of the China-market Envision last month and gave us a few specs, now it's teasing the midsize crossover's interior and features. Having said it will "set a new benchmark in terms of space, safety, performance and specifications," we're told that equipment like the heated leather steering wheel and Bose-sourced active noise cancellation are market firsts in the segment.
Elsewhere, light will shine on occupants through the panoramic roof during the day and via ice blue ambient lighting at night, and seating surfaces are being shown off with dual-stitched leather. Lane departure warning and parking assist help keep the bodywork in order, stop/start ignition fitted to the 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder with 256 horsepower and 260 pound-feet will help keep fuel economy up. One more convenience for the model's core buyers: a tailgate that can be partially opened.
The Normal, Tour, Sport and Off-Road driving modes come courtesy of FlexRide, that last one - meant for extra-light-duty dirt work, naturally - appearing on a Buick for the first time.
