1958 Buick Roadmaster Series 75 4 Door Hardtop on 2040-cars
Littleton, Colorado, United States
1958 Buick Roadmaster Series 75 4 Door Hardtop Available at a Fair Reserve Price, this is an Unbelievably Beautiful, Very Well-Preserved, Original Car. This Super Clean 1950’s Classic Runs and Drives as good as it looks. Originally it was a In 1958, the Series 75 Roadmaster was Buick’s most well endowed model. In addition to tons of chrome embellishment and all the features found on lesser Buicks, the Roadmaster has 364 cubic inch V8, Dual Exhaust, Variable Pitch Dynaflow Automatic Transmission, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows, a 6-way Power Front Seat, Safety Cushion Dash, Ignition Key Light, Trip Mileage Indicator, Radio, Clock, Back-up Lights, Bumper Guards, Variable Speed Wipers, Windshield Washer, Geared Vent Panes, Carpeted Floors and Lower Doors, Glare-Proof Rear View Mirror, Safety Speed Buzzer, Brake Warning Light, and Deluxe Wheel Covers. The Seats are Cloth and Leather. An optional Factory installed Air Ride Suspension is also on this car. (The compressor can be seen on the top pulley in the engine compartment pictures.) I purchased the car in the mid nineties from a Gentleman Nebraska Rancher (who sold me several cars.) I have put on less than 1000 miles since owning it. The car has been in storage for most of the past 17 years. The 364 cubic inch V8 with Dual Exhaust starts right up and is ready to go. It rides and sounds just like it should...It Glides smoothly down the road. Brakes and White Wall Tires are good, lights and gauges work, and the rest of the car is just as it should be…good working order. Odometer reads less than 49,000 miles, and was represented to me by the original owner as being accurate mileage. This is an Excellent Representative of 1950's The Pictures are best I could get right now…We’ve been hampered a bit by the recent |

Buick teases the next-gen LaCrosse
Sat, Oct 31 2015Buick continues to play coy about the next-generation LaCrosse, but the latest teaser hints at a swoopy profile for the upcoming sedan. While mostly just a silhouette, the teaser does provide a glimpse of the flowing roof and upward crease around the rear fenders – especially handsome touches. The rest of the LaCrosse remains a mystery. The only other part that we've seen is the Avenir-inspired grille, which features a more angular surround and chrome wings jutting from emblem in the center. Styling aside, the brand claims that the sedan is now more engaging behind the wheel thanks to a stronger, lighter chassis and five-link rear suspension. Powertrain rumors are rather vague but suggest the 3.6-liter V6 will be available when the model arrives at dealers in 2016. One thing we know for certain about the LaCrosse is that it debuts at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November. That only leaves a few more weeks for Buick to keep this mystery going. Related Video:
Why Buick's future lies in China
Mon, Apr 10 2017Back in the last half of 2008 and into 2009, when General Motors was looking at too much capacity for too few customers, when it was running out of money and needing to go to the governments of the US and Canada and to the UAW for financial support, its management team was pretty much instructed by the feds to focus resources on what would create the best likelihood for a return on the investments and guarantees that it was getting. Things needed to be cut, and not just the corporate air fleet. This led to the elimination of Saturn, Hummer and Pontiac and the sale of Saab to Spyker. What remained of GM's North American brand portfolio was Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac, and GMC. (Oldsmobile had been shuttered in 2004.) There were a variety of opinions regarding which brands GM should keep/lose during the midst of the Great Recession. Some thought GMC should be axed, but then it was pointed out that GMC essentially produced high-content Chevys, which resulted in fantastic transaction costs. Lots of money in the back of those pickups. Others thought Buick should be eliminated. The rationale was: Chevy was the mass-market brand, Cadillac was the luxury brand, and GMC helped leverage the company's investment in trucks. (Yes, even back then the F-Series was winning the pickup sales race, so it was always a matter of adding Silverado and Sierra sales to show that GM was solidly in the game.) So what was Buick? Better than Chevy but not as good as a Cadillac? Somehow that doesn't seem to be a particularly aspirational position to hold. But Buick's identity didn't need to be worked out in 2008-09 because there was a single compelling reason to keep it: China. According to official GM history, Pu Yi, the last emperor of China, Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the first provisional president of China, and Zhou Enlai, a Chinese premier, "Either owned, drove or were driven in Buick automobiles." What's more: "According to statistics from the Shanghai government, in 1930 one out of every six cars on the city's roads was a Buick." Which is to say that Buick got to China early and has a major presence in that market. When the Regal Sportback and Regal TourX were being unveiled at the GM Design Dome the first week of April, Duncan Aldred, vice president of Global Buick, gave a briefing of Buick's place on the automotive landscape.
