I have relisted my Buick .  This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a turn key, and enjoy, collector car. There are not many unrestored 1954 Roadmaster's out there in as nice a condition.

This is a 1954 Buick Roadmaster Model 76-R Riviera two door hardtop. I purchased the Buick in May, 2009. It was repainted  by  a previous owner in the factory color, "Sharon Green ". The roof is "Artic White". The front and rear bumpers were rechromed about the same time. The car is otherwise ORIGINAL. The original factory interior, is a combination of cloth and leather. The undercarriage has some surface rust from almost sixty years of use, but is solid with no rust out. This is a partial list of what repairs and service I have performed:  installed trunk cardboard kit. (05-2009), rebuild generator, voltage regulator, rebuild Carter carb (06-2009), four "Diamond Back" Radial wide white tires( 08-2009),  install seat belts (08-2009),  install aluminized exhaust system (09-2009), rebuild fuel pump (10-2009, total rebuild of transmission (11-2009), new carpet set, complete tune up (11-2009), rebuild starter  (05-2010), install electric fuel pump (05-2011),  front brakes rebuild (05-2012),  new battery (07-2013). The oil was changed at regular intervals. I have never had any overheating issues.

The photos of the body show small bubbles in the paint, and damage to a trim piece. The Buick runs and drives out very well. It has power steering, windows, and power seat. Everything works except the radio and clock. All hoses and belts were replaced. It has the Dyna-Flow automatic transmission.  You will get a few drops under the engine when parked.  This Buick is a great road car with a comfortable ride.( The transistor radio under the dash does not come with the car). I will leave the tachometer, compass, steering wheel spinner, and traffic viewer in the car.

The Buick is sold "AS IS",  with no warranty.     Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have about the car. I am selling the Buick to make room, as I purchased another collector car. This Buick is a real head turner.

Buick version of Equinox/Terrain CUV spied testing... with autonomous gear?

Wed, 12 Jun 2013

Let's get the most pressing bits of this story out of the way right off the bat: What we see here appears to be a new compact crossover from Buick. According to the spy photographer, this machine may be a little bit smaller on the outside than the current Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain 'utes, which makes sense since recent rumors suggest GM's small crossovers will migrate to a new platform that will mark a convergence between the automaker's Delta (Chevy Cruze, Buick Verano) and Theta (Equinox, Terrain) platforms. This Buick would likely use this new D2UX platform.
We've been expecting Buick to unleash a crossover to slot between the very small Encore and the very large Enclave, and various rumors have indicated that the model may be known as either the Anthem or Envision. It's worth mentioning that Buick had planned, back in 2009, to release a vehicle in the compact CUV market, but abandoned those plans after a particularly poor reception.
And now for something completely different... Take another look at the spy shots above, and pay special attention to the cylindrical device mounted to the vehicle's roof. We can't say for sure what it is, but our spy photographer opines that it looks quite a bit like the 360-degree Lidar camera equipment used by Google for its autonomous cars. Is General Motors working with Google on autonomous car technology? We don't know, but you can definitely consider us intrigued.

2013 Buick Encore

Mon, 10 Dec 2012

City, Slicker
We admit it. We have no earthly idea how this whole thing is going to shake out.
Typically, after driving a new car or truck, we come away prepared to hazard a guess as to whether said model has a good chance of being a sales success. We've amassed enough time watching the industry, scrutinizing the competitors, and so on, to make a reasonably educated bet. Yet here we are, days removed from driving the new 2013 Buick Encore, and we still have no bloody idea.

Buick confirms US-market Envision CUV to be built in China

Fri, Dec 4 2015

As expected, the Buick Envision will come to the US market in 2016, and as rumored, it'll be GM's first product imported from the People's Republic. Buick confirmed the news today, while also releasing a number of technical details on the mid-size CUV, which has sold nearly 130,000 units in the Chinese domestic market in the first 11 months of 2015. When it arrives in US dealers next summer, the Envision will feature a 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder EcoTec four-cylinder. Good for an estimated 252 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, the four-pot turbo is paired to a well-received six-speed Hydra-Matic 6T70 transmission. That's the same automatic gearbox that's offered in the turbocharged Regal and Regal GS and the current six-cylinder LaCrosse. The entire affair is underpinned by torque-steer-fighting HiPer strut front suspension, a crossover first for Buick, with a four-link setup in back. According to Buick, the Envision will also get the same Active Twin Clutch all-wheel-drive system being offered on the Cadillac XT5 and the new LaCrosse. Like the Chinese-market Envision, Buick is offering the USDM model with active grille shutters, LED running lights, LED taillights, heated front/rear seats, a heated steering wheel, 19-inch wheels, and a Bose stereo as standard. Buick also lists highlights like Active Noise Cancellation and an eight-inch IntelliLink infotainment system, although it's not clear whether these are standard features. There's no word on which auto show the Envision will debut at. Considering the timing, next month's Detroit Auto Show is a strong contender, although if Buick wanted to really drum up headlines ahead of its on-sale date next summer, it'd formally introduce its newest CUV in April, at the New York Auto Show. Either way, expect to see more of this handsome, Chinese-built CUV soon. Related Video: Buick Envision North American Market Fact Sheet 2015-12-04 The Buick Envision was designed, engineered and tested in Michigan as a world-class luxury crossover to challenge the world's best competition. It was awarded Motor Trend SUV of the Year in China and has 127,085 sales so far this year. When it goes on sale in 2016, it will play an important role in a crossover lineup that currently represents 60 percent of Buick sales in North America. It targets customers shopping between the Encore, the best-selling Buick in eight years, and the Enclave, which has continued to grow its customer base since its 2007 introduction.
