A very nice 2 owner  Buick Riviera. Bought new in NM it has never left the state which means NO RUST. In 1983  Buick celebrated its' 20th anniversary with the "XX Anniversary model". Only 502 hardtops badged as “XX Anniversary Edition” models, where produced. These cars got special REAL!!  NOT HUB CAPS!! wire wheels, 24K gold-plated badging, and some serious upgrades like hand-made 24 ounce wool carpeting, English walnut wood veneer plates, and a wood steering wheel. Mechanically, these cars had the 4.1-liter V-6 (or optional 5.0-liter V-8 which this car has which makes it even rarer), four-wheel disc brakes, and the Gran Touring suspension .

This car is In very good condition , mileage indicated is 53088. The car fax report shows that the mileage was 30,050 in October of 1996 then in October of 1998 it was 139,147, an obvious reporting error . I'm sure the cars' mileage is 53088 because of the great overall condition of the interior and exterior. starts and drives very well, all the glass is good, has the padded half top, tires, brakes etc are all good. Suede leather seats, the cruise control was disconnected before I got the car  so I dont know if this was done due to a broken cable ( most likely) or the head control. No electrical or mechanical problems  , power everything. the seats have power lumbar bags and are power , power windows all work ok, ac works although not as cold as I would like it, power locks, am/fm cassette plays fine., tilt steering wheel. A rock or something hit the front bumper just below the headlights on the passenger side and caused a circular crack about the size of a baseball in the plastic facia but the rest of the body is fine with no dents or damage. Fly in, drive it home.

J.D. Power customer survey of dealers counts Cadillac, Buick as big winners

Cadillac and Buick have taken the trophies in J.D. Power's latest Customer Service Index Study examining satisfaction with dealer service. Surveying more than 90,000 owners and lessees of 2009-2013 model-year cars, the study found that those with pre-paid maintenance packages were ten percent more likely to buy their next car from the same brand.
Dealer satisfaction scores have improved overall, Cadillac nabbed the luxury segment ahead of Audi and Lexus, taking the crown that Lexus held last year. Buick keeps the mass-market dealer satisfaction win in the family, finishing ahead of Volkswagen and last year's winner GMC. The study also found that service department use of tablets increased customer satisfaction, as did "best practices" like "providing helpful advice." Who knew?

GM cutting Chevy Sonic, Buick Verano production by more than 20%

General Motors' Orion Assembly plant in Michigan is seeing even more production cuts this year to further reduce inventories of the Chevrolet Sonic and Buick Verano. These latest adjustments mean layoffs for about 100 workers in phases starting in July. "GM Orion Assembly will adjust plant production capacity to better align with market demand," the company said in a statement announcing the change. Through May, sales of the Sonic are down 28.5 percent to 29,082 vehicles, and the Verano is off 15.6 percent, with 15,279 sold this year. According to unnamed plant insiders speaking to Automotive News, the assembly rate is slowing at Orion Assembly from the current 33 cars an hour down to 26 an hour, a 21-percent reduction. GM is also reportedly going to keep the plant idle for three weeks during the normal summer shutdown, rather than the usual two. Earlier in the year, the factory was idled for two weeks due to excess supply of the Sonic and Verano. In March, it was closed again for several days for the same reason. The Orion Assembly plant is the future home to the line for the Chevy Bolt EV. GM Statement: GM Orion Assembly will adjust plant production capacity to better align with market demand. GM expands headlight recall to 180k Buicks and Pontiacs

General Motors is issuing an expanded headlight module recall to include 180,504 examples in North America of the 2005 Buick LaCrosse (2008 model year pictured above) and 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix. Specifically, the campaign affects 159,584 of them in the US and 20,920 in Canada. When the part fails, the vehicles' low beams can stop working either intermittently or permanently. "GM is unable to confirm any crashes, injuries or fatalities related to this condition," the company said in a statement, and there's currently no permanent repair for the problem. For now, dealers will replace the headlamp module with a new example of the same part. The automaker first announced this campaign in November 2014 when it affected 316,357 examples globally of the 2006-09 Buick LaCrosse; 2006-2007 Chevy TrailBlazer and TrailBlazer EXT; 2006-2007 GMC Envoy and 2006 GMC Envoy XL; 2006-2007 Buick Rainier; 2006-2008 Saab 9-7X; and 2006-08 Isuzu Ascender.
