This classic car has the potential to be a real show piece.

THE GOOD...
It is ALL ORIGINAL with the exception of the passenger side door mirror and the radio. Has normal wear as this was a daily driver. This was kept in a garage for the first 41 years of its life.  No rust, no dents, no pitting in the chrome. All trim is in tact.  Power windows & locks, power antenna, factory air all work. Interior is all original and in near mint condition... needs a good cleaning,  There does not appear to be any rust under the vinyl roof. All glass is 100%. Too many pluses to list.

THE BAD...
The paint is peeling in some spots. This may have been a second paint job, but not sure- if it is, an original Buick color (Gold) was used and still has a decent finish. The real bad... the engine cranks and turns over, but has a bad rap.  It CANNOT be driven.

This was going to be my "project car". I just don't have the time to perform the restoration to make this car a fun cruising vehicle.

This car with the engine running properly would be in the $7000 to $9000 range, and fully restored would be a $25000+ show car.

I CAN PROVIDE MORE PICTURES IF INTERESTED... Please contact me, I will email them to you.

**** PLEASE NOTE... I reserve the right to end this auction early as this is "FOR SALE" and advertised in several different publications.

NFL QB Cam Newton and supermodel Miranda Kerr star in Buick's Super Bowl ad

Wed, Feb 1 2017

Buick's Super Bowl LI ad is another demonstration that its cars aren't frumpy anymore. The ad opens with parents watching their children play football, with one of the dads, we'll call him "Dad No. 1," shouting encouraging words to his son. In the background, a bright red Buick Cascada pulls up, and another dad, "Dad No. 2," points it out. Dad 1 doesn't believe him, and says, "If that's a Buick, then my kid's Cam Newton." All of sudden, his son transmogrifies into Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton. As expected, he quickly dominates the game, with some amusing results. At the end, when a Buick Encore shows up, the referee inadvertently turns himself into supermodel Miranda Kerr, based on apparent disbelief over what constitutes a Buick. You can see all of the shenanigans in the video above. Plus, if you'd like to see what goes into making a Super Bowl commercial, Buick produced a short video with Newton and Kerr showing what happens behind the scenes. You can check it out below. 2013 Buick Encore

Ignored On Arrival, But Coming On Strong
An image exists out there that perfectly conveys the fate we thought would befall the Buick Encore after its world debut at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show. The shot shows the just-unveiled Encore on stage, basking in the glow of spotlights but surrounded by a large display area that's bereft of both cars and people. Two journalists are sitting on a couch over to the side, both facing the Encore but ignoring it as they inspect their swag, and a solitary custodial engineer pushes a vacuum back and forth across a sea of gray carpet.
Like a kid with his birthday cake at a party no one came to, this little crossover's debut was largely, almost cruelly, ignored. Who can blame us, though? Two shows ago, the Motor City's main stage welcomed the redesigned Aston Martin-esque Ford Fusion, the 3 Series-assassin ATS from Cadillac and the return of Dodge to the small car game with the Dart. A fourth model for the wayward Buick brand, especially one so arguably un-Buick in form and function, did not seem to deserve the attention paid to its peers that year.

Buick dusting off Grand National, GNX and T-Type nameplates

Mon, 26 Nov 2012

Inside Line reports Buick is planning to bring back some of the more storied names from the company's past, including the Grand National, GNX and the T-Type. Those cars rose to prominence in the 1970s and '80s to become performance legends of their day.
The new models will reportedly make use of the rear-wheel drive platform that currently underpins the Cadillac ATS and all would arrive as sedans - according to an unnamed source familiar with the initiative. Odds are the T-Type and the Grand National would share a driveline, with honest money being on a new twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter V6 as the engine of choice. Word has it the mill will be good for anywhere from 350 to 400 horsepower.
That leaves only the GNX. Inside Line seems to think that machine could get down the road with some help from the all-new GM LT1 small-block V8. The engineers behind the ATS platform have already told us the engine bay is large enough for to accommodate the big eight pot, and since GM is most certainly working on an ATS-V, a slightly less powerful, less luxurious Buick iteration makes some kind of sense. We can't wait to see these things in the light of day.
