Low Reserve.

Selling my 1967 Buick Riviera GS. I sprayed it all black last year. Used to be white. interior is all original. Engine has kenn bell cams.Car was stored for over 25 years after engine rebuild. I purchased it last year and rebuilt the brake master cylinder and replaced all fluids / belts / hoses and cleaned it up under the hood and re painted the car and also under the hood and trunk area. Fixed minor issues with turn signal. All electrics work except the clock is not working. has power windows. Engine numbers do not match body. Body is in excellent condition and turns heads.  This is the GS model with posi rear. Has AC but needs re-charging. Original radio (AM) works as well as antenna and pop up lights. Sharp looking car. The hub caps are original. The engine has about 500 miles after the rebuild.

Other work done:  Rebuilt Quadrajet Rochester Carb. New Thermostat plugs wires cap and rotor. New voltage regulator and Car Battery. New dome light covers in interior. I have many more pictures and videos. the car is very clean under the hood. and i put new carpet in the trunk and that looks clean too.

I have a few videos on U tube. I use it only occasionally on weekends around town.
Follow the link below to see it in high def video. you wont be disapointed with this car. If I had the room i wouldn't sell but I don't.

Also when the engine was rebuilt it was bored .3 over. The tires have a lot of tread on them. The brakes work very well. I bleed the brakes and checked all pipes and cylinders. all are working perfectly. Also there is plenty of brake pad left on the shoes too. The door mirrors have been replaced with newer ones. they are electric. I have the original one that goes with the car. i also have the owners manual. (original). The car is poweful and smooth and is a fun car to drive.

Junkyard Gem: 1997 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight LSS Supercharged

Tue, Mar 21 2017

Oldsmobile got terminated by The General in 2005, in part because the marketing suits decided that the first three letters of the marque's name made the cars undesirable to the under-75 set (never mind that 21st-century rappers continue to venerate Oldsmobiles). Not long before the demise of Olds, though, you could buy an Eighty-Eight with the supercharged L67 V6, known as the Luxury Sports Sedan or LSS. These cars are very rare today, but I spotted this '97 in a Denver self-service wrecking yard. These Eaton blowers are now so easy to find in wrecking yards that most of them go unpicked by customers. The going rate for this supercharger is about 50 bucks, because everyone who wants one already has a big hoard of the things. If you have ever wanted to drop a supercharger onto your crapcan race car's engine, now is the time. Performance was respectable for the era, with output of 240 hp and 280 lb-ft. The 3800 was the descendant of the ancient Buick V6, which debuted way back in 1962, so GM had had many decades in which to make it a dependable (though not very smooth-running) powerplant. Yes, you could still buy big ol' sedans with rear drums at the dawn of the 21st century. Did the LSS steal any sales from potential BMW or Mercedes-Benz buyers? Probably not many, though its $27,695 price tag must have looked pretty tempting when compared to that of the much slower $32,960 Lexus ES 300 in 1997. Right now is the best time to make a resolution you'll enjoy sticking with. The reviewers at Popular Mechanics were unable to break the first-year LSS. GM opens military discount to 21M veterans and their spouses

Thu, Apr 7 2016

May marks the start of National Military Appreciation Month, and General Motors is getting into the spirit by expanding its military discount program to, well, just about everyone. That includes a total of 21 million military veterans and their spouses, along with the current slate of active duty, reserve, and National Guard members. The discount can slash thousands of dollars off the price of a new Buick, Chevrolet, or GMC vehicles, with Automotive News listing an $1,100 discount on the top gas-powered version of the Malibu, the Premiere. Those that want a bit more spice can get $1,700 off the price of a last-generation 2015 Camaro SS, while truck buyers will enjoy $3,000 off the Chevy Silverado All Star. That's just a start, though, since the military discount can be paired with other GM incentives. The discount doesn't apply to everything, though. Some are understandable – none of Cadillac's vehicles are included in the deal, nor is the Corvette Z06. You'll also be unable to apply the discount to a range of base-level trims, like the Chevy Cruze or Equinox L, the base Colorado, or the entry level GMC Acadia, Canyon, and Terrain. A full list is available at GM's dedicated military discount website. GM's expanded discount plan runs from today through May 31. What's in a trademark? Sometimes, the next iconic car name

Thu, 07 Aug 2014

The United States Patent and Trademark Office is a treasure trove for auto enthusiasts, especially those who double as conspiracy theorists.
Why has Toyota applied to trademark "Supra," the name of one of its legendary sports cars, even though it hasn't sold one in the United States in 16 years? Why would General Motors continue to register "Chevelle" long after one of the most famous American muscle cars hit the end of the road? And what could Chrysler possibly do with the rights to "313," the area code for Detroit?
