1965 Buick Riviera Gran Sport Beautiful Black/black Restorered California Car on 2040-cars
Fresno, California, United States
Here for your consideration is a Beautiful California GRAN SPORT RIVIERA. This car is Beautiful, started with a running rust free car, stripped to bare metal and painted with a two stage Black finish (original color was teal, I couldn't chance it coming out looking turquoise) cut, polished and hand wax to a high gloss smooth finish. New interior, including real wood trim, dash pad, carpeting, door panels, Madrid Vinyl Seats, Center Arm Rest, Headliner and package tray. The engine is a KW code which is a 425 Cubic Inch and has the 2 x 4 bbl Carter Carburetors which have been rebuilt. The car runs very well, all the windows work including the power vents, Rear Center armrest was also covered when the seat covers were made. Some of the options on this Gran Sport are Chrome Road Wheels, Air Conditioning (did not get it functioning but it is completely there and the compressor is not stuck) Power Drivers Seat, New working Clam Shell Motor with new rocker switch, Rear Seat Center Arm Rest. Tires are new radials with less than 25 miles on them, Oil & Filter just changed, Transmission serviced with new screen, filter, gasket and rear seal. I have an excellent feedback on 100% of my transactions which are over 700. The reserve is set low as I do want to sell the car, presently have two other Gran Sports and one had to go so here is a nice one. Please have your money before you bid and please ask any questions you may have before bidding, I recommend that you come and inspect the car or send your representative to inspect and appraise this car. After you win the auction is not the time to come and inspect the car. The car is almost 50 years old and is being sold AS IS and Where IS and it is the buyers responsibility to ship or drive your car to its new home.
On Mar-20-14 at 22:35:15 PDT, seller added the following information: Please note the mileage is what is showing on the speedometer and I do not believe it is correct it is probably 138k. |

NHTSA, IIHS, and 20 automakers to make auto braking standard by 2022
Thu, Mar 17 2016The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and virtually every automaker in the US domestic market have announced a pact to make automatic emergency braking standard by 2022. Here's the full rundown of companies involved: BMW, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar Land Rover, Kia, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru, Tesla, Toyota, Volkswagen, and Volvo (not to mention the brands that fall under each automaker's respective umbrella). Like we reported yesterday, AEB will be as ubiquitous in the future as traction and stability control are today. But the thing to note here is that this is not a governmental mandate. It's truly an agreement between automakers and the government, a fact that NHTSA claims will lead to widespread adoption three years sooner than a formal rule. That fact in itself should prevent up to 28,000 crashes and 12,000 injuries. The agreement will come into effect in two waves. For the majority of vehicles on the road – those with gross vehicle weights below 8,500 pounds – AEB will need to be standard equipment by September 1, 2022. Vehicles between 8,501 and 10,000 pounds will have an extra three years to offer AEB. "It's an exciting time for vehicle safety. By proactively making emergency braking systems standard equipment on their vehicles, these 20 automakers will help prevent thousands of crashes and save lives," said Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx said in an official statement. "It's a win for safety and a win for consumers." Read on for the official press release from NHTSA. Automakers making the commitment are Audi, BMW, FCA US LLC, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar Land Rover, Kia, Maserati, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi Motors, Nissan, Porsche, Subaru, Tesla Motors Inc., Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo Car USA.
2013 Buick Verano Turbo vs. 2013 Acura ILX 2.4
Tue, 12 Mar 2013Answering The $30,000 Entry-Level Luxury Question
Twenty years ago, a comparison between an entry-level Buick and Acura would have matched a Skylark against an Integra.
Twenty years ago, a comparison between an entry-level Buick and its Acura equivalent would have matched a Skylark against an Integra. The unfair battle would have resulted in the compact American's defeat in nearly every measurable category, as the Japanese competitor was arguably at the height of its powers.
