1964 Buick Riviera Base Hardtop 2-door 425 C.i. Wildcat 465 V-8 on 2040-cars
Kutztown, Pennsylvania, United States
The 1964 Buick said that "Adventure is a car called Riviera". The standard interior was one of the best looking of all cars with soft vinyl bucket seats front and rear plus an attractive, functional center console. The '64's had new badges and changed heating controls. The engine was the 425 cubic inch "Wildcat 465" V-8, which produced 340 horsepower @ 4400 rpm and 465 lb. ft. torque @ 2800 rpm. We sold this car to its current owner a few years ago for his collection but now he's moving on so you get the advantage of his careful preservation. He's ask us to sell it for him so we are presenting it here. This car is very original with its factory installed, matching numbers engine, original Desert Beige paint and the original, flawless red vinyl interior. It runs and drives just fine and its newly installed exhaust system provides just the right exhaust note. Although the paint seems to be original it is now showing its age. There is evident checking and chips in some areas but a respray will complement the beautiful, pristine interior, a feature that would be hard (and expensive) to reproduce. There is no rust on the body or frame other than the typical surface rust found on virtually all cars of this age. The engine starts easily and runs smoothly and quietly. It has power steering and power brakes. MANY PICTURES HERE: CLICK HERE Why wait until the end of the auction? Call now!! Don’t let it get away!

Neil Young's 1953 Buick Roadmaster Skylark brings $400,000 at auction
Mon, Dec 11 2017Singer-songwriter Neil Young's extensive collection of model trains have fetched nearly $300,000 at auction, along with classic cars and musical equipment owned by the 72-year-old folk-rock icon. Young, a model train enthusiast for decades, offered more than 230 pieces at Julien's Auctions in Los Angeles from his collection of Lionel trains, including a custom-painted Commodore Vanderbilt 4-6-4 locomotive that sold for $10,000. Several cars that Young owns were also sold. A 1953 Buick code 76X Roadmaster Skylark convertible with a steering wheel hub that says, "Customized for Neil Young," went for $400,000, the auction house said on Saturday. Young, best known for his Woodstock-era songs as well as his work with the bands Buffalo Springfield and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young has said the vast model train layouts at his California ranch helped him connect with his son Ben, who has cerebral palsy. Other items auctioned off on Saturday included some of Young's guitars, amplifiers and microphones. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Bridge School in California, which Young's ex-wife Pegi Young co-founded in 1986 for children with severe speech and physical impairments.Reporting by Joseph AxRelated Video:
Buick shows off new Ultra Luxury Interior for LaCrosse
Sun, 27 Apr 2014The options sheet of the 2014 Buick LaCrosse gets all kinds of fancy with the addition of the Ultra Luxury Interior. Pointing its Tri-Shield logo at the world of haute luxury, the cabin treatment combines sangria leather with ebony accents, shadow tamo ash wood trim and a microsuede headliner to "drive fashion forward."
You'll need to start with LaCrosse models with the 3.6-liter V6 and either the Leather, Premium or Premium II trims to go all Brioni and Buckingham on the cabin, and the privilege package will run you $2,495. We're told that you won't find such contrasting hues anywhere else in the class, though, and that kind of exclusivity might make any price a bargain.
You can find more information on the Ultra Luxury Interior in the press release below, along with some intensely fashion-foward gobbledygook.
Buick dusting off Grand National, GNX and T-Type nameplates
Mon, 26 Nov 2012Inside Line reports Buick is planning to bring back some of the more storied names from the company's past, including the Grand National, GNX and the T-Type. Those cars rose to prominence in the 1970s and '80s to become performance legends of their day.
The new models will reportedly make use of the rear-wheel drive platform that currently underpins the Cadillac ATS and all would arrive as sedans - according to an unnamed source familiar with the initiative. Odds are the T-Type and the Grand National would share a driveline, with honest money being on a new twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter V6 as the engine of choice. Word has it the mill will be good for anywhere from 350 to 400 horsepower.
That leaves only the GNX. Inside Line seems to think that machine could get down the road with some help from the all-new GM LT1 small-block V8. The engineers behind the ATS platform have already told us the engine bay is large enough for to accommodate the big eight pot, and since GM is most certainly working on an ATS-V, a slightly less powerful, less luxurious Buick iteration makes some kind of sense. We can't wait to see these things in the light of day.
