1958 Buick Special - 2 Door Hardtop - 364 Nailhead V8 - Matching numbers - 80K original miles
The car is tagged and insured - Running and Driving - Great running driving and stopping 58 Buick - The car has the original nailhead that runs great. The car is all there. I drive the car around town weekly. Haven't taken it on the highway. The car is great condition for being unrestored. It has a little rust in the passenger door bottom and a little in the floors. The frame is great and the body is straight. *The roof of the car has been put into white primer. It's been sanded on the top part of the car to the metal in some places - the previous owner was prepping the car for paint. Some minor dings and dents. The interior is in overall good condition - aftermarket seat covers that are tasteful - all black. Headliner in good condition and carpet is okay. The dash was painted in the past and needs to be repainted. The original seats remain intact under the covers and appear to be in pretty good condition. The motor is in great condition and runs well - does not smoke. Does not to be fine tuned and has exhaust leak at the flange. Has original running gear. The car has new carb, plugs, wires, fuel pump, master cylinder and tune up. The car has original running gear and will need some suspension work. This car is not far from being a driver car. It needs a good amount of work to add to a collection. Getting hard to find. Please email with any questions. Possibly open to trades for other classics running and driving cars. Car sold with Bill of Sale - Sold As-Is - Buyer responsible for shipping. |

Buick picks top 11 highlights from first 11 decades
Sun, 21 Apr 2013Buick has taken the time to highlight some of the company's personal points of pride from the past 110 years. Those include everything from the automaker's very first vehicle, the 1904 Model B, to what Buick claims is the world's first concept car: The 1938 Y Job (above). That one also walked away with the worst name for a design study.
All told, the automaker has sold 43 million vehicles through the end of last year, and those include the lusty 1963 Riviera. That model celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2013, and remains one of the brand's most iconic designs.
Of course, Buick is rightfully proud of its quickest model, too. The 1987 GNX managed a 4.6-second bolt to 60 mph in tests by Car and Driver, and it also took the honor of being one of the automaker's rarest creations at just 547 units. You can check out all 10 in the gallery above.
Buick: Odell Beckham Jr.
Mon, Feb 8 2016An Opel droptop in Buick drag crashes a wedding. No one's quite sure who made the Cascada, but Emily Ratajkowski definitely got the bouquet. She channels Odell Beckham Jr., laying out to make the catch – and conveniently Beckham is actually there to jokingly shoot her down. Did Buick nail this one, or was it (as Beckham quips) "out of bounds?" Let us know.
Buick dusting off Grand National, GNX and T-Type nameplates
Mon, 26 Nov 2012Inside Line reports Buick is planning to bring back some of the more storied names from the company's past, including the Grand National, GNX and the T-Type. Those cars rose to prominence in the 1970s and '80s to become performance legends of their day.
The new models will reportedly make use of the rear-wheel drive platform that currently underpins the Cadillac ATS and all would arrive as sedans - according to an unnamed source familiar with the initiative. Odds are the T-Type and the Grand National would share a driveline, with honest money being on a new twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter V6 as the engine of choice. Word has it the mill will be good for anywhere from 350 to 400 horsepower.
That leaves only the GNX. Inside Line seems to think that machine could get down the road with some help from the all-new GM LT1 small-block V8. The engineers behind the ATS platform have already told us the engine bay is large enough for to accommodate the big eight pot, and since GM is most certainly working on an ATS-V, a slightly less powerful, less luxurious Buick iteration makes some kind of sense. We can't wait to see these things in the light of day.
