This auction is for a 1983 Pro Touring Buick Regal Project car. I started the car a few years ago and no longer have the time to finish is. The car does not currently run, it needs finishing. I have almost every part needed to finish the project and several extra parts. I bought the car several years ago, I built a custom stereo, custom interior and did a complete sound deadening job and also rewired the car front to back. I drove it like that for a couple of summers and then I decided to take the car to the next level. I bought a second frame for the car and went through the entire frame and boxed and reinforced every aspect (used both Lowrider and Drag Racer techniques) of the frame to make sure it would hold up to anything I did with the car. Once the frame was done it was powder coated to match the car. I also built a custom front and rear coil over system for the car and replaced every steering, suspension and bushing component in the car with all new fasteners, most of which are all custom ARP 12 point stainless. The brakes are all Baer

I bought a 2004 Escalade 6.0 Gen III motor and had it torn down and completely rebuilt with the Probe Industries kit punching it out to a 6.8 Liter Gen III with 620 hp roughly. The heads were redone top to bottom and I but in a Monster Transmission 4L65E with a billet servo, it's good to 1500hp. I also installed a brand new Ford 9" G-Body housing with an Eaton TruTrac diff and all new components with Strange Axles. I was originally going to use a FAST intake on the car (as seen in some of the pictures) but decided on using the new Holley Dual Throttle Body intake and throttle bodies. All of the intake system is still brand new in the boxes along with all of the Holley fuel system. The car is currently plumbed with all Fuelab components but have a complete Holley system if you wanted to replace it. Most of the engine fastners are also all custom 12 point ARP stainless and everything internal is ARP.

I have a dedicated website for the build of the project www.projectstressrelief.com where you can see pictures from every aspect of the build and you can also see the quality of the build and the quality of the parts used.

I have literally thousands of pictures for the car since the day I bought it.

This is a near complete list of all of the components in the car, I am sure there is things I have missed so please ask any questions.

The pictures of the car complete shows what it looks like when all assembled. The current state of the car is the pictures of it on the flat deck when I moved it from my house to a storage warehouse. The front end is mounted to a pallet (how I had it stored at my shop) along with the front and rear bumpers. The front end is in great shape, the bumpers might need a bit of touch up paint on them. The only real issue with the car as far as damage is the rear bumper fillers are very brittle (common on all G-body's) and have started breaking. I have replaced the fronts and had them painted but the rears need to be replaced.

What is left to finish is to put the top end of the motor on, wire up the motor and computer, plumb the coolant, oil and power steering hoses (have them all) along with the brake lines from the master cylinder to the prop valve (rest of the car is done) Put the front end back on, connect up the front wire to the firewall, install a battery and rad/cooling fan. Install the steering column and run a throttle cable through the fire wall (hole there). The car has a full blown Clifford 2-way alarm system but needs a head unit installed to run the stereo.

Electric Cadillac Lyriq, Chevy Bolt EUV and more GM electric cars are on the way

Wed, Mar 4 2020

GM’s murky and somewhat secretive electric car plan is falling into place, as the company dumped a massive amount of information about whatÂ’s in the pipeline at an event at its Warren, Michigan campus today. New EVs are going to be popping up across the GM brand lineup, with new entries from Chevrolet, Cadillac, GMC and Buick in progress. We also learned some big news about GMÂ’s new Ultium battery tech today, but check out this story for all of those nitty-gritty details. The electric vehicle onslaught will begin with the Cadillac Lyriq, an electric SUV thatÂ’s already been teased out. Naming it the Lyriq is the news today. No explanation for the name was provided, so weÂ’ll have to wait for April to learn more. GM didnÂ’t specifically say if the Lyriq would be launched at the NY Auto Show, but that show (assuming coronavirus doesnÂ’t cancel it) will begin on April 8 this year. Next up in the order of events is the GMC Hummer electric truck that we know will be launching on May 20. This truck will use GMÂ’s modular Ultium battery technology. However, the wait to buy a GMC Hummer will be a long one, as the truck isnÂ’t going to dive into production until fall 2021 at GMÂ’s Detroit-Hamtramck plant. GM revealed that its new modular Ultium batteries can be configured anywhere from a 50 kWh pack to a 200 kWh pack depending on the application. Range is estimated to be about 400 miles on the upper end with the largest battery pack, and GM continues to boast about a 0-60 mph acceleration time of three seconds. Charging estimates for the Ultium battery-equipped Hummer EV were also provided. GM says its truck platform will have 800-volt battery packs and be capable of 350 kW fast-charging. Time estimates werenÂ’t given, but those numbers suggest the truck will be a rapid charger. The Hummer truck on hand, which was the same that previously starred in GMC's Super Bowl spot, showed off removable roof panels that store in the frunk, as well as what appeared to be a version of GMC's Multi-Pro tailgate. It also featured sail panels on the sides, similar to those in front of the bed of the Chevy Avalanche. In addition to the Hummer, expect to see a couple Chevys launching. GM says the refreshed Bolt EV will be launched “in late 2020” with a refreshed interior and what appear to be thicker front seats.

The new Opel Insignia might be a great Buick, but it's a sad Holden Commodore

Thu, Dec 8 2016

Since the first shots of the uncovered Opel Insignia hit our inboxes, we've been filled with excitement for the new sedan. It looks great, it should come to America with little to no visual changes as the Buick Regal, and we might even get a wagon version. Unfortunately, there's a lead lining to this silver cloud, and it comes to us from Down Under. You see, the Opel Insignia is also undergoing a re-badging job in Australia to become the new Holden Commodore. It's replacing the beloved rear-drive Commodore (with an optional V8 and ultra-high performance HSV variants) with a front-drive-based platform offering four- or six-cylinder engines. This is depressing news considering the Zeta-platform underpinning the Commodore VF spawned the Pontiac G8, Chevrolet SS, and fifth-generation Camaro. Knowing this was going to happen doesn't help much either. What makes it all worse is that the new Commodore doesn't have a shred of unique styling in the bodywork. That's not an exaggeration. A new grille with a Holden lion badge instead of an Opel lightning bolt badge is the only change. See for yourself in the Insignia gallery below. Not only did GM erase a unique Australian model, it didn't even allow the brand to give the car a distinct shape. It's sort of like when Ford planned to replace the Mustang with the Mazda-derived Probe. The Probe wasn't that bad for the time, but it was no Mustang. At least in that case the Mustang survived. View 12 Photos Before we get ourselves too down, we should mention that there are reasons to be hopeful for the future. For one thing, the new all-wheel-drive Commodore/Insignias will come with a version of the GKN-developed rear differential found in the Focus RS and Range Rover Evoque, which is pretty neat on its own. And Opel/Vauxhall have always had wild performance versions of the Insignia and its Vectra predecessor. The last one made 325-horsepower and had all-wheel-drive. A new one would likely produce much more, since one of the available V6s makes 308 horsepower. Then imagine all of that extra hypothetical horsepower hooked up to the all-wheel-drive system that introduced us to "drift mode." Not only that, but rear-drive Holdens may not be completely dead yet. A Belgian man announced his intention to buy an old Holden factory along with the tooling and rights for the car once it was discontinued. His plan is to continue producing the old model after Holden is done with it.
