2000 Buick Regal Ls Sedan 4-door 3.8l on 2040-cars
Davidsonville, Maryland, United States
Welcome to my 2000 Buick Regal LS. Still runs like new with 224k miles. This vehicle was a trade-in from a non-smoker retired couple who maintained residences between Maryland and North Carolina. The miles are all highway and it shows!! The engine is very strong with no visible leaks or any smoking whatsoever. The oil is fresh and runs very smoothly. The transmission shifts 100%. Transmission had servicing at 170k miles - according to previous owners. All power options – radio, moonroof, locks, windows, etc. - function properly. The paint is in excellent condition. There are minimal dents, dings, or scratches. The paint is in really good shape. The interior is in excellent condition with really no signs of wear on the seats or carpet. The rims are the upgraded alloy factory type - with no road rash. The tires are like new (purchased in January) and have several years of wear left on them. This car is in extremely good condition regardless of the miles and will provide years of reliability.
Mechanical issues to address: There is a small crack in the windshield (pictured); There is a split in the leather of the driver's seat (pictured); there is a small plastic cover piece that is broken on the armrest. This vehicle is being
offered for sale “AS-IS” because of year and miles. If you are new to Ebay or if you have fewer
than 4 transactions, please contact me prior to bidding for approval to bid or
I will cancel your bid immediately.
There is a $125 documentation fee in addition to the final selling
price. A $500 non-refundable deposit is
required via Paypal within 48 hours of auction close. Transaction must be
completed within 7 days of auction end (full payment and pick-up arrangements
at least). I have done my best to describe the vehicle as accurately as
possible. Once purchased, this car can
be driven anywhere in the country without issue. For those of you who are not
local, BWI is the closest airport to my location. Contact me via email with any questions.
Please bid with confidence and good luck. |

GM cutting Chevy Sonic, Buick Verano production [UPDATE]
Sun, Jan 25 2015UPDATE: A previous version of this story indicated that Orion Assembly would be idled for seven weeks, from February 16 through April 6. This was incorrect. The factory will instead only be idled for the weeks of February 16 and April 6. The story has been edited to reflect this. General Motors has announced that the factory responsible for the Buick Verano and Chevrolet Sonic will be idled for the weeks of February 16 and April 6, with blame being placed on excess supply. The Orion Assembly plant, about 45 minutes north of GM's Renaissance Center headquarters, employs about 1,800 people, but they'll be given a pair of furloughs as inventories of the sub-compact Sonic and premium compact Verano reach 127 days and 84 days, respectively. That works out to 26,600 Chevys and 9,800 Buicks waiting for buyers. According to Automotive News, the compact Chevy sales bested the industry average in 2014, jumping up nine percent versus the the overall segment's eight-percent gain, while the Buick sedan's sales were down four percent. When asked about the shutdown, a GM spokesman told AN that it will "build to market demand," while also pointing out that the company did not comment on production plans. Leno recalls '90s showdown with Tim Allen and his mullet
Wed, Oct 7 2015Not many of us have buddies with garages full of classic cars, but that isn't the case for Jay Leno and Tim Allen. Of course, one of the advantages for two guys with such vast collections is occasionally getting to pit their cars against each other. The two comedians did just that in the mid-'90s with a burnout battle on The Tonight Show between Allen in a race-prepped Mustang and Leno in a drag racer. After some time away from regular television, Leno is returning to the airwaves with a Jay Leno's Garage series premiering on Oct. 7 (tonight) at 10:00 p.m. ET on CNBC. Let this clip serve as another taste of what to expect for the new TV show's mix of comedy and cars. After reminiscing about the old days in a gorgeous garage, the comedians get into two modern machines to reprise the classic challenge – after a little trash talk anyway. Don't worry because the YouTube series isn't going anywhere, though.
J.D. Power study sees new car dependability problems increase for first time since 1998
Wed, 12 Feb 2014For the first time since 1998, J.D. Power and Associates says its data shows that the average number of problems per 100 cars has increased. The finding is the result of the firm's much-touted annual Vehicle Dependability Study, which charts incidents of problems in new vehicle purchases over three years from 41,000 respondents.
Looking at first-owner cars from the 2011 model year, the study found an average of 133 problems per 100 cars (PP100, for short), up 6 percent from 126 PP100 in last year's study, which covered 2010 model-year vehicles. Disturbingly, the bulk of the increase is being attributed to engine and transmission problems, with a 6 PP100 boost.
Interestingly, JDP notes that "the decline in quality is particularly acute for vehicles with four-cylinder engines, where problem levels increase by nearly 10 PP100." Its findings also noticed that large diesel engines also tended to be more problematic than most five- and six-cylinder engines.
