1998 Buick Regal Ls Sedan 4-door 3.8l on 2040-cars
Davidsonville, Maryland, United States
Welcome to my 2000 Buick
Regal LS. Runs like new with 135k miles. This vehicle was a
trade-in from a non-smoker retired couple who maintained residences between
Maryland and North Carolina. The miles are all highway and it shows!! The
engine is very strong with no visible leaks or any smoking whatsoever.
The oil is fresh and runs very smoothly. The transmission shifts
100%. Transmission had servicing at 100k miles - according to previous owners.
All power options – radio, moonroof, locks, windows, etc. - function
properly. The paint is in good condition. There are minimal
dents, dings, or scratches. The
interior is in excellent condition with really no signs of wear on the seats or
carpet. The rims are the upgraded alloy factory type - with no road
rash. The tires have about 70% tread left on them. The front brakes and rotors were just changed on July 6 and have about 10 miles on them. This car is in extremely good condition
regardless of the miles and will provide years of reliability. Mechanical issues to address: Driver's side window doesn't work. It just needs a new switch; There is a small plastic cover piece that is broken on the armrest. This vehicle is being
offered for sale “AS-IS” because of year and miles. If you are new to
Ebay or if you have fewer than 4 transactions, please contact me prior to
bidding for approval to bid or I will cancel your bid immediately. There
is a $125 documentation fee in addition to the final selling price. A
$500 non-refundable deposit is required via Paypal within 48 hours of auction
close. Transaction must be completed within 7 days of auction end (full
payment and pick-up arrangements at least). I have done my best to
describe the vehicle as accurately as possible. Once purchased, this car
can be driven anywhere in the country without issue. For those of you who are not local, BWI is the
closest airport to my location. Contact me via email with any questions. Please bid with
confidence and good luck. |

Next Buick Regal to inherit styling cues from Opel Monza concept
Mon, 06 Oct 2014Ever look at a concept car from a foreign auto marque like Opel and wonder what relevance it will have to you as an American consumer? Well, we'll tell you: at least as far as the Opel Monza concept goes, it could mean a lot.
Speaking with Automotive News at the Paris Motor Show, Opel chief Karl-Thomas Neumann said, "You will see the Monza when you see the next Insignia." And the Insignia, we needn't point out, is essentially ported over to American showrooms as the Buick Regal.
The relationship between the Regal and Insignia only stands to grow closer as Opel design chief Mark Adams has also been charged with tightening the bonds between the two automakers positioned on opposite shores of the Atlantic. Adams also intends to imbue the next Insignia with more "premium brand values" in order to "add polish to the brand." Which in turn means that the Regal will be designed to look more upscale, too.
Question of the Day: Best recipient for supercharged GM V6?
Wed, Apr 20 2016The good old Buick V6 engine was built from 1961 through 2008 (including a decade of production by Kaiser-Jeep) and went into way too many General Motors vehicles to list here. In 1991, the supercharged version of the 3800 was introduced, with a Roots-style Eaton blower on top, and now you can find these engines in just about every junkyard in North America. The 3800 shares a bellhousing pattern with the also-made-by-the-zillions GM 60° V6 engine, which means that it will install (with varying levels of sledgehammer clearancing and/or axle mix-and-matching) into plenty of GM vehicles that never received the 3800 from the factory. That means one thing: engine swaps! An excellent example of this is the 1992 Chevrolet Lumina APV "Dustbuster" minivan, which is a fully caged high-performance road-racing machine that features a supercharged 3800 and 5-speed manual transmission under its long, vacuum-cleaner-snout-like hood. The RaceVan, in Springfield Monorail livery, will compete this weekend at the Michigan 24 Hours of LeMons race with Autobloggers Mike Austin, David Gluckman, and Alex Kierstein at the wheel. My personal choice for supercharged 3800 power, though, has to be the Cadillac Cimarron, preferably the not-so-sought-after Cimarron d'Oro Edition. Some bashing and welding and cutting and pasting and this lightweight Cavalier sibling could have well over double its original horsepower. So, what's your blown 3800 engine-swap choice? What's in a trademark? Sometimes, the next iconic car name
Thu, 07 Aug 2014
The United States Patent and Trademark Office is a treasure trove for auto enthusiasts, especially those who double as conspiracy theorists.
Why has Toyota applied to trademark "Supra," the name of one of its legendary sports cars, even though it hasn't sold one in the United States in 16 years? Why would General Motors continue to register "Chevelle" long after one of the most famous American muscle cars hit the end of the road? And what could Chrysler possibly do with the rights to "313," the area code for Detroit?
