1 Owner! Runs Strong Free Carfax Drive Or Restore All Offers Welcome on 2040-cars
Staten Island, New York, United States
Hi Everyone and WELCOME to my auction!
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO PRESENT ALL OFFERS OR ASK ANY QUESTIONS For your consideration, I present a 1 registered owner (SEE CARFAX BELOW), 1989 BUICK REATTA w/205K original miles. I've owned 5 Reattas previously and picked this one up several months ago on a whim. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find the time to work on her, so I've decided to part with her. (That, and my neighbors are beginning to complain about the crowded parking situation my Fiance and I have created with all our vehicles lol) THE GOOD: The car runs strong, shifts like new and rides nicely. Its is equipped with every option offered on the Reatta coupe, including the multi-position power seats and power moonroof. The headlights go up and down smoothly. There is no evidence of body work, NO REPORTED ACCIDENTS and no rust. The car has only had one elderly owner since new and the title is clean. THE BAD: The paint is somewhat dull here and there and the clear coat is peeling in spots. The leather interior is fair, but the front seat has rips. Also, the headliner is ripped. The moon roof motor runs, but doesn't open and the touch screen will occasionally go dark. Though there are no engine lights on at the moment, the Anti-Lock light has previously come on and the AC system appears to need freon. Overall, she presents fairly well for a car of 25 years. With a little effort, she could return to her former glory. Test drives are encouraged and I can show the car most days. The car is currently parked at my place of business in Staten Island, located within 15 minutes (or less) of the following bridges; The Verrazzano, The Outerbridge, The Goethals, and the Bayonne. THANKS FOR YOUR INTEREST AND GOD BLESS!

GM claims it's first to sell million 30+ mpg vehicles
Fri, 04 Jan 2013As we continue to put together all the data for the year-end edition of By The Numbers, General Motors has announced that it sold more than a million vehicles in the US last year that achieved at least 30 miles per gallon on the highway. More impressively, GM managed this feat using multiple strategies including small vehicle size, turbocharged engines and hybrid or plug-in technologies across four brands (Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC) accounting for 13 separate models. This number will grow even more in 2013 thanks to cars like the all-electric Spark, the diesel Cruze, the range-extended Cadillac ELR and the Buick Encore compact CUV.
GM's small car sales were up 39 percent last year helping to attain this million-sales mark for 30-mpg models, and almost 40 percent of all GM sales consisted of cars with fuel-efficient I4 engines. In regards to more advanced means of improving fuel economy, GM says that it plans on having 500,000 vehicles with "some form of electrification" on the road by 2017.

Trademarks indicate Buick Regal wagon could be on the way
Wed, Dec 23 2015American wagon fans have been waiting for General Motors to import a Buick-badged version of the Opel Insignia Sports Tourer since the current Insignia-based Regal hit dealers. If a new patent filing is any indication, that day could be coming soon. Then again, it might not mean anything. AutoGuide reports that Buick has filed two trademarks with the US Patent and Trademark Office for "Motor land vehicles, namely automobiles." You can see the trademarks for "Tourx" and "Regal Tourx" here and here. "Tour" smacks of wagon models, while the "x" – for all-wheel drive – makes us wonder if maybe we'll be seeing a rebadged version of the high-riding Opel Insignia Country Tourer (shown above). This isn't the first time Buick has stoked the hopes of US wagon fans, though. Earlier this year, trademarks were filed for the "Regal Sport Touring," a name that's very close to the Euro-market wagon's title. In fact, that trademark had the same description as the Tourx/Regal Tourx filings. As we've established before, automakers file trademarks all the time. It's far from a guarantee that anything will come of such trademarked names. Still, two wagon-ish filings with the USPTO from Buick in under a year makes it seem like there's at least someone at the Trishield brand that's campaigning for a long-roof Regal. Fight the good fight, friend. Related Video:
Buick Cascada convertible likely dead after 2019
Tue, Oct 9 2018Opel announced it was discontinuing a few cars today, but the one that got our attention was the Cascada. The plan is to let the Opel Cascada live out its life until the end of 2019, with no replacement in the works. This brings into question the future of the Buick Cascada sold in the United States, since it's basically the same car and produced by Opel in the same factory in Poland. The Cascada has been on sale in other markets since 2012 badged as either an Opel or Vauxhall, but the Buick-badged car was only introduced in North America for the 2016 model year. Of course, Buick could decide to build the model beyond 2019, but it would need to find a new manufacturing location, convertibles aren't exactly popular, and the car would be egregiously old at that point. In other words, it looks like the Cascada is dead after 2019. We asked Buick what the game plan might be, and were told that there is nothing official to say at the moment. That's par for the course for something a manufacturer doesn't want to talk about yet, but it's also possible the announcement came as a surprise. Opel is no longer owned by GM, so the announcement actually came from the brand's new PSA ownership (the same French company that owns Peugeot and Citroen). As for the rationale behind the decision, that was a head scratcher, too. Opel/PSA said it was discontinuing the Cascada, as well as the subcompact Adam and Karl, in order to meet increasingly stringent emissions requirements and produce crossovers instead. This seems contradictory. Replacing a low-selling convertible and a pair of low-profit subcompacts with high-selling, high-profit crossovers sure seems like a solid business decision more than an emissions requirement one. Indeed, the Buick Cascada has never been a raging success in the United States either, with only 5,595 leaving the lots in 2017. It helped bring in some different kinds of customers to the Buick brand, but the impact is minute compared to a vehicle like the hot-selling Buick Encore.
