2007 Buick Lucerne CXS Sedan Beautiful, Black 2-Owner Car with Every Available Option in Excellent Conditiong I purchased this car as a Certified GM used car from our local Buick dealer back in early 2011 and became its second owner. It had 41K miles on the odometer the day I bought it and was as close to brand-new as any used car I'd ever seen. It's original owner had driven the car very gently and taken excellent care of it. I have done the same. The car now has 105K miles on it, almost entirely from Interstate travel for my daily commute, which is 40 miles each way. There is nothing wrong with this car - it is in excellent condition and runs just as reliably as it did the day I bought it. It has been garage-kept every night of its life and has been washed and waxed on a very regular schedule, including the winter months. I have religiously cleaned and conditioned the leather seats, and as a result, they show only very little wear on the driver's seat. The front seats of the car are both heated and cooled, which is a great feature in an all-black car. This vehicle was serviced and maintained at our local Buick dealer and always got everything it needed. Last month it got brand new rear brake rotors and pads. The front brakes were replaced about 15-20K miles ago. The tires were replaced at around the same time with the factory spec Bridgestone tires and they have more than 50% treadlife. The Northstar V8 engine is powerful and yet gets good fuel economy for a V8. I have routinely gotten 24-26mpg with the car on the highway. The rear seat leg room in this car is unmatched by anything else from its model year or after. Features & Options:
This is a very nice car in excellent condition with no mechanical problems. Bid with confidence knowing that the car you will get is as described above. If you have any questions, please just ask. This auction has a reserve that reflects a fair value for this car. Please research the value of the car before bidding and make sure to compare it to other CXS model Lucernes in similar condition. This car was more than $45K when it was brand-new. Expect to pay a fair price for a car that has been very well cared for. Car is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early at any time if it is sold locally.

2018 Buick Enclave First Drive Review | Fortress of quietude
Fri, Oct 6 2017ATLANTA, Ga. — The 2018 Enclave is part of Buick's effort to reinvigorate its brand, positioning itself as a maker of "attainable luxury" vehicles. That means a total redesign, a number of safety and technology upgrades, and the introduction of the Avenir sub-brand (think of that last one as sort of the Denali of Buick). It also means more space and more luxury. With this in mind, we traveled to Atlanta to get to know the new Enclave, both in the city and on a long drive through the Blue Ridge Mountains into North Carolina. Our first impressions of the new Enclave came not from the driver's seat, but from a captain's chair in the second row (which is the traditional seating arrangement for a true captain, of course). We were riding from the Atlanta airport to a studio to learn more about the vehicle. That very first impression was, "Wow, this interior is really nice." The leather upon which we sat was soft, smooth to the touch, and interesting in its shapeliness. Looking around the cabin, we saw a lot of gentle curves and thoughtful accents that made the inside of the Enclave feel downright premium. It was a fresh and airy sense of taste though, and definitely not the seasoned wood-and-whiskey stodginess one might expect from the Buick name. Our second impression: "Boy, it's quiet in here." Heading toward downtown Atlanta on the freeway, we were unable to pick up wind noise, and only just a smidge of road noise as the Enclave trundled over the occasional rough patch of pavement. This is, of course, completely intentional on the part of Buick. The windshield and front windows use acoustic glass. The doors are triple sealed for a tighter, quieter fit when closed. Buick has insulated the Enclave with more sound deadening and included active noise cancellation. "Our goal is to make it as social as possible," said Dean Perelli, chief engineer for the Enclave. And social it is. It is easy to carry on conversation across the Enclave's three roomy rows. When we got out of the Enclave, we had a chance to take it in from the outside. It features attractive, wing-like lighting front and rear. The front signature lighting uses technology called "Evonik Acrylite," (a mouthful, even for the engineers) which is a polycarbonate material arranged in a dazzling, faceted and delicate array. The paint finishes we saw were attractive, with depth.
Junkyard Gem: 1990 Buick Reatta Coupe
Sun, Nov 6 2022During the 1980s, General Motors worked hard to woo back American car shoppers who had defected to European luxury brands. Swanky interiors, futuristic electronics and Europe-influenced styling found their way into quite a few GM models during the second half of the decade. Pontiac had the 6000 STE, Oldsmobile offered the Toronado Trofeo, Cadillac sold the Turin-Hamtramck-built Allante, and Buick produced the sporty Reatta two-seater. Just under 22,000 Reattas were built during the 1988 through 1991 model years, and today's Junkyard Find is the fifth example I've found during my junkyard travels. The Reatta was the most expensive 1990 Buick, priced at $28,335 for the coupe and $34,995 for the convertible (or about $65,895 and $81,380 in inflation-adjusted 2022 dollars). For that kind of money, American car shoppers in 1990 could get a BMW 325i in coupe or convertible form for $24,650 or $33,850. They could get a Saab 900 Turbo convertible for $32,995 or an Audi Coupe Quattro for $29,750. Each of those European competitors had sophisticated overhead-cam engines and grippy suspensions, but the Reatta was built on a shortened version of the chassis that went under the Barcalounger-esque Buick Riviera and its engine was the old-timey pushrod Buick V6. The 3.8-liter Buick V6 had been made quite reliable and acceptably smooth by the time this car was built, and it made 165 horsepower (just three fewer than the BMW 325i), but Buick salesmen didn't have much to brag about when showing this engine compartment to a 35-year-old youngster who had just driven a Saab 900 Turbo. The antiquated engine was problem enough, but the lack of a manual transmission served to chase off additional potential buyers. A four-speed automatic was mandatory in every Reatta. Just in case some traditional (i.e. Greatest Generation members) Buick customers might consider this glamorous two-seater, Buick scared them off with the Reatta's video-game-style digital dash and its way-ahead-of-its-time Graphics Control Center touchscreen interface. You can't win! The Graphics Control Center hardware has been grabbed from this dash (the components also fit optioned-up Rivieras and Trofeos of the same era, so junkyard shoppers pull them for resale). Naturally, a Reatta owner would want a hardwired car phone. If you really wanted to be cool in the early 1990s, you bought a Chrysler product with the amazing VisorPhone.
