This posting is for my Mother-In-Law's car since she is not able to drive any longer. The car is a Dark Charcoal Grey paint with a grey full leather interior. The car is your standard 2004 Buick LeSabre with all of the normal options. She was the second owner of the car and bought from the original owner who had used it for highway driving over long distances. The car had over 80K miles within the first 3 years. It was bought in 2007 in great condition. The car currently has 135K miles on it and has been taken care of mechanically in Magnolia since 2007. The oil was just changed and it is currently licensed, inspected, insured, driven daily and ready to roll. The AC works very well and it is a great highway car. The average full consumption is about 25 MPG from the typical Buick V6.
Options include, power seats, power door locks, power trunk release, twilight sentinel lighting, AM/FM/CD/Cassette player, twin front seats, dual lighted sun visors for each side with the second part that allows you to use it in front and side at the same time, cast aluminum wheels, electronic fuel/tire/odometer/gage information, two tone grey and black interior, perfect carpet, seats, cruise control, steering wheel control buttons for radio etc, electronic review mirror with compass. There are two things that you must be aware of. There is a problem in the dash, could be a fuse or something like that, that does not allow the fuel gauge, temperature sensor, or tachometer to work. They have not worked for over 6 years, but the car runs fine. They have simply used the electronic trip odometer to gage the amount of fuel in the tank. I would have taken it to the Buick dealer to get it checked, but they have been on a limited income and now have medical bills to pay, so the car must go. The sooner the better as hospital bills are coming in. The second issue is the console door on the top of the front seat has a broken piece of plastic that is attached to the hinge. Buick still carries the part and it is available now. There is one small scratch on the left rear corner too. Headliner is held up with pins in one area and could be done better, again, a limited income. For a 10 year old car, it has been a good one with hardly any mechanical problems. Tires are in great shape too. Overall, the car is mechanically sound, a great car for someone who wants a large safe car that gets great gas mileage. We have been a Buick family for many years and these are great cars and we still have others in our family with more miles than this LeSabre. If you need a great second car, a safe car for a child's first car, a great highway cruiser, or just local reliable transportation, this is your car. It is currently garaged at my house in Cypress, Texas and available for showing/driving. Any exchange of cash for this car will be done at a local bank so that the funds may be verified and the paperwork acknowledged properly. The title is clear and we need to sell the car this week if possible. Please call me with any questions. |

1969 Buick Riviera is latest Hot Wheels Legends finalist
Mon, Aug 1 2022The Hot Wheels Legends Tour traveled to Southern California, one of the bastions of car culture in the United States, to find the next custom-built car that it will add to its catalog of scale models. The winner of the latest stop is a 1969 Buick Riviera turned into a head-turning lowrider. Owned by Mario and Nora Zamudio of Los Angeles, the big coupe is finished in a color called Pagan Gold and fitted with bright wire wheels. The husband-and-wife team spent four years working nights and weekends to build the Riviera. They removed the exterior trim pieces to achieve a cleaner look, spent a considerable amount of time detailing the engine bay and fitted a hydraulic suspension system. The interior received the custom treatment as well. Pagan Gold accents on the dashboard complement the exterior, there's an aftermarket steering wheel with three bright spokes, and the beige and brown upholstery finishes to the look. Readers familiar with Riviera models from the 1960s will notice that some of the switches aren't original; they're used to control the hydraulic suspension. Power for this Riviera comes from the original 430-cubic-inch (7.0-liter) V8, which was rated at 360 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque in 1969. It spins the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission, and we bet it sounds excellent. One Buggy Mud Muncher Raptor View 13 Photos This eye-catching Riviera will move on to the semifinal round this fall, where it will compete against previous winners for the chance to get scaled down into a Hot Wheels model. The list of past winners is stunningly diverse: it includes a Volvo-powered 1968 Volkswagen Beetle, a kei truck turned into a monster truck, and a 1973 Toyota Celica powered by a General Motors-sourced V8 and nicknamed Tokyo Trans Am. 2015 Buick Verano offered with six-speed manual after all
Mon, 09 Jun 2014Good news, boys and girls (well, at least those of you who still like shifting for yourselves). Buick got in touch with us to correct some information that it had mistakenly announced; namely, that the 2015 Verano will lose its optional six-speed manual transmission. Apparently, that announcement was incorrect, and the compact sedan will indeed continue to offer a manual option for 2015, despite what we're certain is a low take rate. Additionally, the Desert Dusk Metallic paint that was said to come as part of an Appearance Package is no longer part of the deal. With that out of the way, we now return you to your regularly scheduled automotive-obsessive broadcast...
PSA's purchase of Opel from GM is expected to be finalized soon
Sat, Mar 4 2017PSA's purchase of the Opel/Vauxhall division from General Motors is expected to be officially announced on Monday, according to The New York Times. PSA, the parent company of European automakers Peugeot and Citroen, will reportedly hold a joint press conference with GM in Paris to announce the deal. GM has worked as part of an alliance with PSA in Europe since 2012. The deal could be a big boon for both companies. For PSA, the addition of Opel and Vauxhall into its fold would catapult the automaker into second place behind Volkswagen for European marketshare, and would allow the company to spend research and development costs across a greater number of vehicles. And GM, which has struggled in recent years to turn a profit with its European division, would be able to focus more squarely on the areas where it's most profitable and to invest in future technologies like automation. But the deal isn't without its potential pitfalls, primarily for PSA. GM hasn't been able to make a success of Opel and Vauxhall, and it's not a sure bet that PSA will, either. What's more, the addition of Opel and Vauxhall doesn't expand PSA's reach any further into new markets, like China or India. The NYT cites data from Ferdinand Dudenhoffer, a professor at the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany, showing that 70 percent of PSA and Opel business is done in Europe, a market that has been shrinking since 1999. We'll have to wait a few days to see exactly how the deal between PSA and GM will be structured. We're also curious to see how the loss of Opel may affect GM's lineup in the States, especially for Buick, since the company's Regal sedan is based on the European Opel Insignia. In other words, stay tuned. Related Video:
