I have owned this car for 5 years. This is my third T-Type and is the best one I have owned. I bought the car with 30,000 miles from a local guy who bought it 5 years before that with 5,000 miles. I knew the car at that time and bought the same gentlemans 1991 LeSabre Limited Coupe. Other than the first year it never was out in winter. I used it as a summer driver and car shows. There is no rust on the car. All options work properly. There are no leaks what-so-ever. Dash is perfect. Armrests are in great condition. Bottoms of doors are clean and straight. Rubber gaskets are supple with virtually no cracks. Runs on regular gas and averages over 28 MPG on the highway. I have the original window sticker also. Recently replaced the radiator, altenator and headliner. At that time I added a Vanity Mirror to the passenger side. That is all this car has needed since I purchased it. Just a fabulous car. I painted the grill body color. Always liked that look on the Ruby Red cars. Added the BUICK hood insulator pad and a strut tower brace that I also painted body color. Has a new hood ornament. The original had faded. The rear spoiler has started to bubble like they all do eventually. Front spoiler is excellent. The black trim around the rear wheel opening is just starting to peel. I think the car is worthy of any cruise night and is as impressive in person as it is in pictures. Like I said, should be no disappointment. More pictures upon request. Many detail pictures including fuel lines, engine bay, door bottoms, etc. Please only bid if you are committed to the purchase. No zero feedback bids unless I am contacted first. I will only accept wire transfer or cash in person. I will not allow re-negotiations after the sale. Winning bid is what is expected. Wire transfer fee is buyers responsibility so factor that in when you pay for the car. If you have any negative feedbacks within 30 days on a purchase, do not bid. Car has only 60,800 miles. Yes it runs like a car that has low mileage. However it is still 25 years old so I do not offer any warranty and is sold in as is where is condition. There should be no disappointments with it. Shipping is buyers expense. Thanks for looking. Bid with confidence - my feedback speaks volumes. The winner will be getting a fabulous car. God Bless. |

The Chinese experiment | 2017 Buick Envision First Drive
Fri, Sep 23 2016The 2017 Buick Envision is a very good five-passenger crossover. The "but" you should anticipate will come in good time. First it's worth understanding why it exists at all. Out of the ashes of GM's bankruptcy a few flowers blossomed and the carmaker is doing exceptionally well, certainly far better than Chrysler has done in the wake of its free fall into Chapter 11. But of all the surprises at GM's turnaround, Buick surely ranks highest, without question the least likely player to thrive if you only study the North American market. Look farther than our shores, to China, however, and you won't be shocked. Note that the Envision, which has been on sale in China for a year and a half, will reach about 200,000 units this year; the entire Buick portfolio in the US only totaled 223,000 cars in 2015. Not only is China Buick's primary market, but what it makes there, like the Envision, is intended for a different sort of buyer. Here, we'd call it a compact crossover. In China the Envision is a relatively large car, and the buyer there is far more likely to use it as a tall limo, or at the very least, as a big-time status statement. That buyer is also very likely to be in his or her mid-30s – the average Buick buyer in the US is getting younger, but, at 58, is hardly a millennial. Still, Americans who buy the Envision will benefit from all of this China focus. Huge effort went into its development since the target competitor in China is the Audi Q5, according to Rick Spina, Executive Chief Engineer for the Envision. Spina explained that Buick went to the trouble and expense of isolating the entire chassis from engine, suspension, and driveline vibration and sound penetration. "If you look at non-luxury models like Ford Escape, Honda CR-V, nothing's isolated, everything is hard-bolted to the body, and so all that vibration goes into the frame." Spina says that even though you'd guess the China-built Envision shares the general parts bin of the Chevy Cruze and Equinox, it's almost entirely unique. "It's kind of an orphan," he says, because GM couldn't afford to invest in the ride tuning Buick had to have to compete with Audi in China for a volume Chevy product, so nothing from Chevy (for now) is on this platform. And although it would have made sense to have Cadillac or GMC share it, Cadillac's XT5 and GMC's Acadia were already on a different development cycle. Besides, he's pretty proud that the Envision was developed strictly for Buick.
Buick struggling to keep up with Encore demand
Tue, 06 Aug 2013Buick is having a hard time keeping up with demand for its all-new Encore mini-CUV, according to a report from Automotive News. The stylish, lifted five-door went on sale in January, but dealers have reported that supplies have dwindled after the initial high demand, taking the proverbial "wind out of the sails."
General Motors admits that it underestimated demand for the diminutive Buick, which is built in Korea and sold as the Opel Mokka in Europe, where it's also seen success. Buick spokesperson Nick Richards told AN, "We increased production, so there have been a lot more landing within the last month."
Buick has done a booming business, though, even with its limited supply of Encores. With over 12,000 units sold in the first half of 2013, the small CUV is on pace to annihilate industry analysts' estimates, which predicted no more than 18,500 units in 2013. We're not entirely surprised. When we first drove the Encore late last year, Autoblog professed that we had no idea how sales would turn out, as the Encore wasn't really entering into an established segment. Even so, wefound a surprising amount to like in the Encore, enough that we "wouldn't bet against it" being a major success.
2016 Buick Cascada convertible isn't afraid of Detroit's snow
Mon, Jan 12 2015It's the great irony of introducing a convertible in Detroit – while the assembled media might look at the car and imagine warm weather and clear skies, the atmosphere outside is anything but. Such was the case Sunday as Buick rolled out the 2016 Cascada in Detroit's Eastern Market. Snow didn't dampen the atmosphere, though, as we clapped eyes on the sleek, Astra-based convertible for the first time. While this is far from the first product Buick has borrowed from General Motors' European operations, unlike previous vehicles, changes for the Cascada were kept to a minimum. There is no waterfall grille or four-way portholes, which Buick was sure to install when converting the Insignia and Mokka to the Regal and Encore. Then again, neither of these styling treatments were really necessary, as the Cascada remains a handsome and stylish offering. Its cabin is typical of other Buicks, and features a few too many buttons on the center stack. Still, a thick-rimmed, flat-bottomed steering wheel, similar to what's found in the Verano, is both attractive and functional, while the perforated leather seats looks quite comfortable, as well. Take a look at our gallery of live images, which includes shots of the Cascada with the top up and down, and then head back to our original post on the new convertible for all the mechanical details.
