Hi. I will start by saying that I am listing this 59 buick wagon in order to explore what options I may have. I am from Australia and have been trying to get a 59 wagon here for a while. It has taken a while to get things organised over there and in the meantime circumstances change. I want this car but I am interested to see what money I could get for it or if someone had a running driving original car of interest that they may want to trade. Some of you may remember I sold an Invicta wagon earlier this year which I regret and I know this is my last chance to own a 59 wagon but like I said circumstances change. OK, now that that's out of the way, the car itself.
This is a solid car with only a rust hole in the rear floorpan. The hood has been bent because of stiff hinges but I have another one, the fender is a bit dented but I have another one. I have another front bumper, grille, lights and left and right NOS fender chrome strips. The motor was seized due to a stuck piston and has been taken out (original available) and I have a good running 401 out of a 59 coming. I have good working power steering pumps(x2) and a working brake master cylinder. Spare front brakes/drums/bearings and rear brakes, spare working heater box, complete dash, tail lights. I have a complete set of tinted glass including windshield, tailgate, quarters, doors and also have an extra pair of tinted quarters and one NOS clear quarter to replace the cracked one on the car. This quarter glass is 59-60 buick wagon only. If I keep the car my plan was to just get it driving and leave the exterior like it is until I could afford to paint it. It doesn't have any rust on the exterior. The interior is complete but will need redoing, once again I was going to put covers on the seats and tidy it up a little. The spare glass can be bought separately but if you want the car you have to take everything. So you would be paying for more than the car itself. You can sell the glass later.
That's all I can think of for now but like I said I am exploring options so if I don't get a decent offer or trade it will continue its journey to Australia. The position I am in right now means that I can afford to get this car here but it may make more sense if I had a driving project. I am into wagons but may consider something else. Original paint and interiors would be important and definitely no rust buckets. The car is in Colorado Springs and has a Colorado title.Just so there is no messing around it would have to be a good cash offer if I were to let it go so keep that in mind.

NC dealer falsely announces return of Regal Grand National, Regal GNX
Wed, Dec 3 2014Like many new car dealers, Liberty Buick GMC gets so excited about its brands' new wares that it puts out press releases announcing when new models are on the way. That's not typically national news, but the Charlotte, NC store has created a bit of internet hubbub by announcing that it will be "one of the first dealers in the country to offer the Buick Regal GNX," and it's even started to add customers names to a waitlist. Only one problem: Despite seemingly annual rumors and calls for such a model, Buick hasn't announced any Grand National models at all – let alone a GNX – and no such models are actually in the cards. The Liberty Buick press release talks in a nostalgic, venerative tone of the original 1982-1987 GN franchise, and goes on to say: "These returning relics will be based on the highly-acclaimed Alpha vehicle architecture currently used in the Cadillac ATS, 2014 Cadillac CTS, and soon to be in the sixth-generation Chevy Camaro. Alpha is the internal name of a General Motors vehicle architecture engineered to underpin compact and mid-size rear-wheel-drive vehicles." In the release, Liberty Buick claimed the GN/GNX models would arrive in late 2015, citing a coupe bodystyle, including a rather fantastical-looking GNX rendering from Bestride.com. Unsurprisingly, none of this is true. Autoblog reached out to Buick for comment about the release, and brand communications manager Nick Richards confirmed that the company had discussed the matter with Liberty Buick representatives. Richards went on to say that the release was wholly incorrect, proclaiming "an agency [for the dealer] picked up a lot of stuff off the internet" and ran with it, including an old Car and Driver story from 2013. The dealership subsequently issued a retraction, with Scott McCorkle, owner of Liberty Buick GMC saying: "We love the idea of the Buick Regal GNX coming back to our showroom but for now, it's only a concept. Bottom-line, the article was incorrect.
2014 Chevy Malibu, Buick LaCrosse recalled over brake mix-up
Thu, 08 May 2014The recall madness over at General Motors isn't letting up anytime soon, as evidenced by this latest call-back of 8,208 Chevrolet Malibu and Buick LaCrosse sedans. For those keeping track, this is the fifth recall that GM has announced in the past two weeks, not to mention the massive ignition-switch issue from earlier this year.
GM issued a statement saying these sedans are being recalled due to "possible reduced braking performance," according to Automotive News. The problem? Rear brake rotors may have accidentally been installed in the front brake assembly. And since both cars use more robust braking systems up front than out back, braking power could be reduced, increasing the risk of a crash.
Automotive News reports that, of the over 8,000 cars being recalled, about 1,700 are currently in the hands of customers, while the others are still in dealer inventory. GM is unaware of any crashes or injuries related to this problem. All of the affected vehicles are from the 2014 model year.
Buick Cascada will start at $33,990
Fri, Sep 25 2015The Buick Cascada goes on sale early next year, bringing open-air motoring to the brand in the US for the first time in 25 years, and you'll need $33,990 to buy the standard model. Notice there's no asterisk after that price in the headline, because $33,990 includes the destination charge. Buick compares this convertible with the $37,525 Audi A3 droptop, noting that the 200-horsepower Cascada has 30 more hp, navigation and heated front seats as standard, eight-way power seats instead of four-way, 20-inch wheels instead of 17-inchers, and a heated steering wheel. The Cascada in Premium trim will run $36,990 and add forward collision alert and lane departure warning, auto headlights, park assist front and back, rain-sensing wipers, and two air deflectors. Quite a few of you have commented that it would be great if Buick could price the Cascada where the defunct Chrysler 200 Convertible used to live, and it's in the neighborhood. The 2014 200 S convertible was the top of the line in the model's last year, came with a 283-hp, 3.6-liter V6, and started at $33,445 before destination. It lacked the features, refinement, and looks of the Cascada, and that thirsty V6 got you gas mileage of 14 highway, 21 city. The soon-to-depart Volkswagen Eos, which also comes up frequently in Comments, starts at $32,860 after destination. If Buick kept the suspension tuning engaging, this could be really good. There's a press release below with more info. Your browser does not support iframes. Buick Cascada Priced at $33,990 Well-equipped convertible offers high levels of standard content, technology DETROIT, 2015-09-23 – The top-down driving experience of the 2016 Cascada – Buick's first convertible offered in the United States in 25 years – is priced at $33,990. When it goes on sale early next year, the Cascada will offer more standard content, a more powerful standard engine and a lower starting price than the Audi A3 Cabriolet. "Cascada expands Buick's lineup with a uniquely fun and personal driving experience," said Duncan Aldred, vice president of Buick. "With a lower price than key competitors, it also promises to shake up the segment – and look good doing it." The 2016 Cascada – designed from the ground up as a convertible – comes well-equipped in a 2+2 configuration, with room for four adults.
