Previously listed this car last fall and the buyer back-out at the last minute. This car is in excellent condition, with only minor wear on interior and exterior as displayed in the pictures. I have performed a few engine and transmission mods., such as larger turbo, front-mount intercooler, 42lb. injectors, 3" stainless exhaust from turbo, back (single-shot). chrome pipes and covers under hood, and cold-air induction. This car has never been driven in the winter and much of its life spent in the garage being stored. It just received its every-spring service with full synthetic oil and is ready to go! The modifications that have been performed are more for show than for strip. I have NEVER raced this car during my 12 years of ownership. If racing is what you want, all the provisions are here to gain 450+ HP with a simple "tune". Multi-stage ECM Prom is installed that allows for a varying change in fuel/ignition/boost management. Original transmission was overhauled less than 3 years ago/300 miles, and a Coan 3200 stall converter (non lock-up) was installed. TE-63 turbo under hood that would allow for 20+ psi. of boost. Currently boosting to 16, additional frame to body mounts were installed as well as body bracing. The engine runs very strong and transmission shifts firm and crisp.
The body is near flawless with only minor scuffs and a few small "parking lot" dents. No body surface rust except for minor rust under drivers carpet/floor pan (see pics). T-tops and all glass are in excellent condition. Minor interior wear to drivers seat and door panel. Sun visors have been removed due to the steel parts being cracked, causing the visors to be loose and not staying in place (Included). Original wheels are in storage and are included with the sale, as well as any misc. original parts. The only know defects are fuel gauge that shows about 1/4 tank less that what it actually has, and clear-coat that was painted on the bumper guards (rear) that is peeling off, and a small dent on the drivers side roof that looks like a hail stone dent (caused by a tree branch that fell). The car was painted just before I purchased it from the dealership that took it in on trade from the original owner, for a new Jaguar. The windows were tinted during my ownership and look real nice.

2019 Buick Regal TourX sells better than expected, has brand's wealthiest buyers
Wed, Jun 5 2019Being a wagon fan in America is tough, since it seems everyone prefers the higher ride heights and SUV looks of crossovers. But today we have some good news for wagon fans via Buick. Apparently the 2019 Buick Regal TourX is popular with well-heeled buyers, and it's been selling quite a bit better than Buick expected. A representative from Buick revealed that Regal TourX buyers have the highest average income of any of the brand's products. He even noted that TourX buyers' average income is higher than the Buick Enclave Avenir, the extra-plush variant of the three-row crossover and the most expensive vehicle in Buick's lineup. To put the price difference into perspective, the most expensive Regal TourX starts at $35,995, while the Enclave Avenir starts at $54,695. Besides selling to people of some means, the Regal TourX has proven to be more popular than Buick expected. Buick's representative said that initial estimates were that the wagon would make up about 25% of sales, but it's actually making up about 40% right now. Buick has sold 3,408 Regals in total this year, so that means about 1,400 of them were TourX wagons. That number doesn't quite translate over all of 2018 since the TourX was released a little later and the supply was still ramping up through the year. As such sales were closer to 3,000 out of a little over 14,000 for the whole year, or somewhere above 20%. But the increased percentage from the model's release is still impressive. Granted, sales still favor crossovers. Buick's least popular crossover, the Envision, sold about twice as many units as all Regals last quarter. Yet, we count this as good news on the wagon front. Better still, the TourX's top rival, the Subaru Outback, has moved 76,000 units so far this year. Times may be tough for the wagon fan, but there are still some small wins to celebrate. UPDATE: The estimate of Regal TourX numbers for 2018 was higher than actual sales as the TourX was launched later than all Regal models, and the supply wasn't up to full steam for the whole year. The corrected number is now in the text. Related Video:
Buick Envision CUV displays full-frontal nudity
Tue, 22 Jul 2014Earlier this month, Shanghai GM gave us a glimpse of the production version of the Buick Envision concept revealed at the Shanghai Motor Show back in 2011. And now it's released the first unveiled shot and initial details of the crossover to slot in the considerable gap between the Encore and Enclave.
The new Envision is set later this year to reach Chinese showrooms, where it will be called the Ang Ke Wei, after which we're expecting it to arrive Stateside. The production-ready Envision is about the size of the Chevrolet Equinox or GMC Terrain, but is differentiated by a more upscale treatment and Buick's signature waterfall grille, flanked by Xenon headlamps and LED running lights and riding on 19-inch wheels.
Power comes from GM's familiar 2.0-liter turbo four with direct injection and stop/start ignition, driving 256 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque through a six-speed automatic transmission to all four wheels. That's about all that GM's Chinese operation has announced at this point - it's not even clear what platform the vehicle is on - but you can check out the press release for yourself below.
The new Opel Insignia might be a great Buick, but it's a sad Holden Commodore
Thu, Dec 8 2016Since the first shots of the uncovered Opel Insignia hit our inboxes, we've been filled with excitement for the new sedan. It looks great, it should come to America with little to no visual changes as the Buick Regal, and we might even get a wagon version. Unfortunately, there's a lead lining to this silver cloud, and it comes to us from Down Under. You see, the Opel Insignia is also undergoing a re-badging job in Australia to become the new Holden Commodore. It's replacing the beloved rear-drive Commodore (with an optional V8 and ultra-high performance HSV variants) with a front-drive-based platform offering four- or six-cylinder engines. This is depressing news considering the Zeta-platform underpinning the Commodore VF spawned the Pontiac G8, Chevrolet SS, and fifth-generation Camaro. Knowing this was going to happen doesn't help much either. What makes it all worse is that the new Commodore doesn't have a shred of unique styling in the bodywork. That's not an exaggeration. A new grille with a Holden lion badge instead of an Opel lightning bolt badge is the only change. See for yourself in the Insignia gallery below. Not only did GM erase a unique Australian model, it didn't even allow the brand to give the car a distinct shape. It's sort of like when Ford planned to replace the Mustang with the Mazda-derived Probe. The Probe wasn't that bad for the time, but it was no Mustang. At least in that case the Mustang survived. View 12 Photos Before we get ourselves too down, we should mention that there are reasons to be hopeful for the future. For one thing, the new all-wheel-drive Commodore/Insignias will come with a version of the GKN-developed rear differential found in the Focus RS and Range Rover Evoque, which is pretty neat on its own. And Opel/Vauxhall have always had wild performance versions of the Insignia and its Vectra predecessor. The last one made 325-horsepower and had all-wheel-drive. A new one would likely produce much more, since one of the available V6s makes 308 horsepower. Then imagine all of that extra hypothetical horsepower hooked up to the all-wheel-drive system that introduced us to "drift mode." Not only that, but rear-drive Holdens may not be completely dead yet. A Belgian man announced his intention to buy an old Holden factory along with the tooling and rights for the car once it was discontinued. His plan is to continue producing the old model after Holden is done with it.
