Up for sale is my 1987 Buick Grand National. It is completely original and was a one owner car. The car has 77,905 original miles and runs good. The car has factory ttops / power seats / power windows / power locks

The Good:

1. All original untouched grand national - all stock - Very hard to find an untouched Grand National

2. I have original window sticker and bill of sale

3. 77,905 original miles

4. The body is really nice with no rust issues - should be easy car to prep and paint

5. One owner car

6. All power options work - power antenna, power locks, power windows, power seat etc

Issues

1. Needs rear headliner  - original headliner is coming down

2. Needs tires

3. Needs floor pan repair - There are some holes in the floor pans, I believe you can get away with patching the areas and will not need full pan replacement in my opinion. The frame is completely solid with no issues.

4. AC will need a charge as it is currently not blowing cold

5. Steering wheel is showing some wear

I will be away this week on vacation but will be checking my email for any questions. Feel free to call me with any additional questions. I have a 100% ebay feedback rating and try to be as honest as possible when selling anything. The car is located in Union KY which is 25 mins south of Cincinnati Oh

Thank you and Good Luck -

On Jun-07-13 at 14:04:27 PDT, seller added the following information:

Please see new pictures, you will see the frame is super solid but I did have some areas that will need attention. I added all the problem areas..... front bumper filler section that needs replace/ the floor pans / I also found some rust under the TTops - Because of this, I dropped the buy it now price $500. Like I said before, I try to be as upfront about anything I sell and I want the buyer to be happy. This is still a great car that is well worth the money I'm asking. I also have the car for sale locally and reserve the right to end the auction early.

Bob Seger's Detroit Made music video is an homage to the Motor City

Tue, 16 Sep 2014

At this point, Bob Seger feels like the living embodiment of old-school rock 'n' roll. The Michigan native has been strumming out classic records like Night Moves for decades, and he just released a new single called Detroit Made. It sounds like a future staple of just about every classic car show within the next few years, and the video is dedicated to the Motor City, past and future.
Detroit Made is all about cruising in the city in a classic Buick Electra 225, perhaps better known as a "deuce and a quarter." It's straight-down-the-middle rock and could just as easily be from a decades-old Seger album as something new.
The video for the new single mixes shots of American classics cruising along Woodward Avenue with a contemporary look at the city. Sure, there are the well-known dilapidated buildings falling into rubble, but the people there aren't just letting the city die. Other parts show the attempts to clean things up and rebuild. Check out the video if you need a few minutes of old school rockin' in your life.

GM China President says automaker could export vehicles from China to US

Sat, 20 Apr 2013

At a press conference on Saturday at the Shanghai Motor Show, General Motors announced plans to further expand its presence in the Chinese market. Among those commitments are plans to build four new plants by the end of 2015, giving the automaker the capacity to produce around five million vehicles a year in the country.
In order to make the most of that expansion, GM is adding 400 dealerships in China this year alone (for a total of 4,200 sales points), and it's eyeing 5,100 dealers by 2015. Yet not all of that production will stay in China - GM is planning to increase exports as well. Officials estimate the company will export somewhere between 100,000 and 130,000 Chinese-built vehicles this year - a record. And it's gunning for more.
Autoblog asked GM China president Bob Socia (above) if that means the company might eventually export new vehicles built in China to the United States, and he responded:

Best car infotainment systems: From UConnect to MBUX, these are our favorites

Sun, Jan 7 2024

Declaring one infotainment system the best over any other is an inherently subjective matter. You can look at quantitative testing for things like input response time and various screen load times, but ask a room full of people that have tried all car infotainment systems what their favorite is, and you’re likely to get a lot of different responses. For the most part, the various infotainment systems available all share a similar purpose. They aim to help the driver get where they're going with navigation, play their favorite tunes via all sorts of media playback options and allow folks to stay connected with others via phone connectivity. Of course, most go way beyond the basics these days and offer features like streaming services, in-car performance data and much more. Unique features are aplenty when you start diving through menus, but how they go about their most important tasks vary widely. Some of our editors prefer systems that are exclusively touch-based and chock full of boundary-pushing features. Others may prefer a back-to-basics non-touch system that is navigable via a scroll wheel. You can compare it to the phone operating system wars. Just like some prefer Android phones over iPhones, we all have our own opinions for what makes up the best infotainment interface. All that said, our combined experience tells us that a number of infotainment systems are at least better than the rest. WeÂ’ve narrowed it down to five total systems in their own subcategories that stand out to us. Read on below to see our picks, and feel free to make your own arguments in the comments. Best infotainment overall: UConnect 5, various Stellantis products Ram 1500 Uconnect Infotainment System Review If thereÂ’s one infotainment system that all of us agree is excellent, itÂ’s UConnect. It has numerous qualities that make it great, but above all else, UConnect is simple and straightforward to use. Ease of operation is one of the most (if not the single most) vital parts of any infotainment system interface. If youÂ’re expected to be able to tap away on a touchscreen while driving and still pay attention to the road, a complex infotainment system is going to remove your attention from the number one task at hand: driving. UConnect uses a simple interface that puts all of your key functions in a clearly-represented row on the bottom of the screen. Tap any of them, and it instantly pulls up that menu.
