1987 Buick Grand National 3.8 Turbo 81,xxx Miles Original Paint Interior Built on 2040-cars
Alpine, California, United States
This is the Grand National to have. Plain and simple. Original California car. The car has 81,000 original miles on the chassis. Mileage matches with the title. The engine was rebuilt 10,000 miles ago with bigger pistons, roller rocker cam, new seals and gaskets, and everything else in a rebuild. The turbocharger is a larger TA-40 Garrett with a matching larger intercooler as well. The transmission was rebuilt less than 7,000 miles ago with upgraded components and a shift kit as well as a deep sump transmission oil pan. Rear end is posi-traction with deeper gear oil pan. Aftermarket sway bars are wider diameter than stock. Upgraded Vacuum brake booster system with larger diameter bore brake calipers for better braking. Aftermarket traction bars. Air ride suspension which can be adjusted with air valves installed in the rear bumper. Centerline racing wheels and good tires, wider in the back for more traction. Engine also has aftermarket MAF sensor, air intake tubes, Kenne Bell Ram air intake system and air filter, aftermarket fuel injector ecu, adjustable crank positioner, gutted catalytic converter, dual exhaust, Kenne Bell gauge panel, 140 mph speedometer, aftermarket chips, and computer terminal for engine tuning and dyno runs.
The interior and exterior are original. The mirrors and spoiler have been repainted but everything else in original paint. The clear coat has very small cracks in it but it looks fantastic. There is a dent on the passenger side door, couple dings on the hood, and a much fainter one on the driver side door but besides that there isn't much else. The car is beautiful. These are getting very hard to find and one in this shape with this few original miles is very limited. I absolutely love this car. It hauls ass. Will smoke any Honda or Mustang on the road but I'm on my out of the country for awhile and want someone who can keep it maintained and in its excellent condition. The car has been garaged its whole life and you can tell by looking at it. Also has an Eclipse Subwoofer, Kenwood amplifier, Kenwood stereo with auxillary port for your MP3. I have receipts for everything listed in this ad. Over $16,000 in parts alone have been spent on this car. That's not including labor. The title is clean and in my name. Registration is up to date. If you are in California I will need to smog it before you pick it up or ship it. I know I'm forgetting other things on this car. You wouldn't be able to build this car for less than $30,000. The buyer is responsible for shipping. Nonrefundable deposit of $500 within two days of winning the auction. ORIGINAL Wheels are included with the vehicle along with the Centerline wheels. |

GM recalls 64k 2011-2013 Volts over carbon monoxide fears, stop sale on Trax and Encore
Thu, Mar 12 2015General Motors is recalling 50,249 Chevrolet Volts from the 2011-2013 model years in the US and an additional 13,937 exported examples because of fears over carbon monoxide buildup. According to a statement, if a Volt is accidentally left on while running on electric power, its internal combustion engine would eventually kick on to charge on the battery. If this happens in an enclosed space, then carbon monoxide can fill the area, leading to a potential exposure to the dangerous gas. According to GM, there have been two injuries reported due to this issue. To fix the problem, there's a software update to limit the time the vehicle can idle. According to Automotive News, GM is also issuing a stop sale on about 2,300 examples of the 2015 Chevrolet Trax and Buick Encore. In these compact crossovers, it's possible that the steering column assembly could touch the power steering circuit board and cause damage over time. This could potentially cause the system to stop working. Automotive News indicates that the automaker is still working with the supplier to get the necessary parts to repair this problem. General Motors is recalling 50,249 Chevrolet Volts in the U.S. from the 2011-2013 model years to implement a software update that will limit the amount of time a vehicle can be left idling in the "on" or "run" position. If a driver exits the vehicle and inadvertently leaves the vehicle "on" by failing to react to cues and warning chimes emitted by the vehicle, the vehicle's high-voltage battery will drain after a period of time and the gasoline engine will begin to run. If the gas engine runs for a long period of time within an enclosed space, such as a garage, carbon monoxide could build up. GM is aware of two injuries, both related to carbon monoxide build up. The total recall population including Canada and exports is 64,186. Related Video:
2014 Buick Regal GS AWD
Thu, 27 Feb 2014"This is just silly," I said as I laughed my way sideways around the icy track at Circuit ICAR, a racecourse, drag strip and kart track at the Montreal-Mirabel International Airport in Quebec. It wasn't the activity that had me cracking up, though. After all, winter driving experiences aren't uncommon in this business.
No, in this particular case, it was the car that had me chuckling. I wasn't in a mad hot hatch or a rally-derived rocket - I was in a Buick. The 2014 Regal GS, to be more precise. Somehow, despite its recent product renaissance (not to mention its distant - yet storied - history of performance models), I was having a hard time believing that this attractive, turbocharged, all-wheel-drive sedan sliding around the Great White North could possibly be wearing a Tri-Shield badge on its nose.
But it was, and slide about it did. While having access to a vehicle in this setting is fairly rare, what's rarer is the fact that I've had so much exposure to it. In Mr. Ewing's recent Volkswagen Golf R drive story, for instance, his ice capades were his first experience with the new model. In my case, though, I was lucky enough to first test the refreshed Regal GS for a week back in December before flying to Quebec to drive it on the snowy, icy, winding roads of Canada's most fiercely independent province and on the track at Mirabel.
Woodward Dream Cruise Photo Gallery | Classics and American muscle
Sun, Aug 21 2022The 2022 running of the Woodward Dream Cruise just went down, and we were there from morning to evening drinking in the sweet sights and pre-emissions exhaust fumes. Yes, it’s a little smelly on Woodward Ave. this time of year. Just like always, the Dream Cruise invites all comers to cruise their machines on Woodward from Ferndale, MI to Pontiac, MI. Everybody is invited, but the original intent of the Dream Cruise was to highlight classic American muscle cars. YouÂ’ll see plenty of those in our mega gallery above, but weÂ’ve sprinkled it with a bunch of other vehicle types, such as modern muscle and other intriguing American vehicles. Similar to years past, though, sometimes the classics arenÂ’t the most entertaining thing to look at on Woodward. ThatÂ’s why weÂ’ll have other mega galleries coming soon, highlighting the weird cars and (great) dogs of the Cruise, all the imports and exotics you can imagine and a special one for all the trucks of Woodward — perhaps even more so than in years past, the truck population on Dream Cruise day was quite high. Click through above to see all the classics you wouldÂ’ve seen had you been roadside on the day of the cruise. And if you missed this yearÂ’s event, make sure you check out what happens next year. You wonÂ’t be alone, as itÂ’s estimated that over 1 million people attend the Dream Cruise to either watch from the side of the road or to sit in the most glorious traffic jam in the world.
