HERE IS A VERY CLEAN RUST-FREE 1986 BUICK T-TYPE WITH ONLY 63,000 ORIGINAL MILES SELLING AT A VERY LOW RESERVE, VERY WELL MAINTAINED AND GARAGED ALL OF ITS LIFE, THE 3.8 INTER-COOLED TURBO, (SAME AS THE 86-87-GN'S) RUNS GREAT, THE INTERIOR STILL LOOKS VERY PRESENTABLE WITH A BRAND NEW HEADLINER, THE ONLY OPTION NOT PRESENT IS THE A/C WHICH WAS GOING TO HAVE BEEN REPLACED WITH AN UPDATED UNIT BUT THE PREVIOUS OWNER HAD NEVER INSTALLED. THE ORIGINAL PAINT IS STILL VERY PRESENTABLE WITH VERY FEW DINGS AND SOME TYPICAL BLEMISHES , SOME WOULD PREFER A REPAINT AND SOME WOULD KEEP IT ALL ORIGINAL, ALL UP TO NEW OWNER, LOOKS GREAT FROM 10 FEET. ALL ORIGINAL BODY PANELS ARE VERY STRAIGHT. HAD THE RUSTY JONES TREATMENT WHEN SOLD NEW AND HAS PREVENTED ANY RUST ISSUES EVEN ON THE LOWER PORTIONS OF THE DOORS/TRUNK LID WHERE THEY USUALLY HAVE A LITTLE RUST ALL LOOK VERY CLEAN. THE UNDERCARRIAGE IS ALSO VERY CLEAN WITH NO RUST ISSUES (SEE PICTURES) AND THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT LOOKS GREAT, COULD USE SOME DETAILING. WITH ONLY 63,000 ORIGINAL MILES THIS WOULD BE A GREAT CANDIDATE TO INVEST A FEW BUCKS INTO AND HAVE A GREAT SHOW CAR, NOT MANY OF THESE T-TYPES WITH LOWER MILEAGE IN THIS CONDITION. THE ORIGINAL RIMS ARE GOOD DRIVER CONDITION BUT WILL NEED RESTORING FOR SHOW. New Buick Verano testing in Germany
Thu, 29 May 2014A refresh to Buick's popular Verano sedan appears to be nigh, thanks to these spy photos that show the tweaked four-door testing in Germany.
As with the current Verano, the refreshed model will have a great deal in common with its European platform-mates, the Vauxhall/Opel Astra. Each car rides on General Motors's Delta II platform. Unlike the current car, though, the refreshed model's styling could lean more heavily towards its European roots, if these photos are any indication.
Despite its commonality with the Astra Sedan, the Verano has featured its own unique styling since arriving in the US back in 2011 as a 2012 model, with distinct fascias at both the front and back, as wells its own headlight and taillight designs. The two cars were still rebadged vehicles, but it was more subtle than it will be in 2015, when the refreshed Verano arrives. Astra-like elements are expected to dominate, particularly in regards to the headlights and taillights. That said, trademark Buick styling features will remain, like the waterfall grille. Really, then, the 2016 Verano won't be unlike the Regal - a rebadged Vauxhall/Opel Insignia, aside from a few very small styling details.
Buick Avenir Concept saunters into Detroit [w/video]
Mon, Jan 12 2015We'd never accuse the most recent crop of Buicks of being ugly. Then again, we'd also never argue that they're overly pretty. Instead, they waltz along a middle ground, not standing out while not causing offense. The Buick Avenir Concept occupies no such middle ground – it's gorgeous. A long hood and a short deck fit well with an evolved form of Buick's long-running design language, while traditional highlights such as the waterfall grille and portholes mingle nicely with newer touches, like a beautiful, curvaceous set of rear haunches that bleed into the rear decklid. The cabin, meanwhile, is solidly in the concept realm, with a prominent 12-inch touchscreen as its centerpiece. Like the exterior, the Avenir's cabin is an evolution of current Buick designs, with a curve that tops the dash and feeds into the doors. A higher center console is finished in buffed wood, although the majority of the interior materials appear to be fine leather. Check out our gallery of live images of the new Avenir, at the Buick stand at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show. Show full PR text Buick Explores Future with Avenir Concept New design proportion, device integration, rejuvenating interior push brand forward DETROIT – Buick introduced the Avenir concept today in advance of the North American International Auto Show – a flagship sedan exploring progressive design with new levels of passenger well-being and technology integration. The Avenir – French for future – is distinguished by its premium sports proportions and all-new interpretations of traditional Buick cues. It is the creation of a global team of Buick designers and sculptors who were inspired by historic Buick concepts, which pushed traditional boundaries, shaped future Buick models and influenced the entire auto industry. "Avenir embodies Buick design, which centers on effortless beauty and presence without pretense," said Ed Welburn, vice president of General Motors Global Design. "It demonstrates the growing international reach of Buick and offers an exciting vision of where it can go." The Avenir's sculptural surfacing, expressive proportion and Buick's signature sweep-spear bodyside visually cue an exceptional driving experience that awaits inside. "The interior is designed with the driver and passengers' comfort and well-being in mind," said Welburn.
2014 Buick Regal GS AWD
Thu, 27 Feb 2014"This is just silly," I said as I laughed my way sideways around the icy track at Circuit ICAR, a racecourse, drag strip and kart track at the Montreal-Mirabel International Airport in Quebec. It wasn't the activity that had me cracking up, though. After all, winter driving experiences aren't uncommon in this business.
No, in this particular case, it was the car that had me chuckling. I wasn't in a mad hot hatch or a rally-derived rocket - I was in a Buick. The 2014 Regal GS, to be more precise. Somehow, despite its recent product renaissance (not to mention its distant - yet storied - history of performance models), I was having a hard time believing that this attractive, turbocharged, all-wheel-drive sedan sliding around the Great White North could possibly be wearing a Tri-Shield badge on its nose.
But it was, and slide about it did. While having access to a vehicle in this setting is fairly rare, what's rarer is the fact that I've had so much exposure to it. In Mr. Ewing's recent Volkswagen Golf R drive story, for instance, his ice capades were his first experience with the new model. In my case, though, I was lucky enough to first test the refreshed Regal GS for a week back in December before flying to Quebec to drive it on the snowy, icy, winding roads of Canada's most fiercely independent province and on the track at Mirabel.
