Up for sale is my Buick Grand national of about 6 years. I was told it is a Grand National from the previous owner. I have found no reason to believe different. The Vin shows it to be a T-type which is correct for a GN in 1986. The vehicle history shows it as a GN.

I purchased this car from the second owners as a roller. Vehicle check says four owners. I believe the guy I bought it from had to change the title to his name after his dad gave it to him. Second owner had car repainted by a local body shop in early 2000's. I finished the rest of the car. I had the engine professionally built with many aftermarket parts. Only things stock under the hood is the crank, block and fuel injector rail that I can think right now.

Car runs good and strong. Does not burn oil or drink coolant. I have never had it at the track so I can't tell you what it runs. It's set around 18 psi now. Had it up to 23 psi and it's incredbily fast! It was a cruise night car for me then I bought a Cobra. This car went to the backburner.  I have had the car out three times in the last two years. I may have put 300-400 miles tops on it since it's been running. So I'm looking to make room for a new project. This car is not a museum piece. It shows well and is a great show and cruise night car. But if your looking for a 10 out of 10 mint car this is not for you.

The bad. Digital dash doesn't work all the time. Fuel pressure gauge mounted on hood isn't showing accurate readings. No a/c or heat. Manual brakes. It had a powermaster but I prefer the piece of mind that the brakes won't fail me. I built a custom exhaust and it may be to loud for some. Hood insulator is gone. It was dirty and I didn't like the way it looked. Some seepage from oil pan gasket. The paint looks good. It's not factory good. People always commented on how good the car looked. There is some (very little) surface rust on the bottoms of doors. No rot or holes. You can see in pics the bottom inside lips of doors were repaired. I do not know where else there may be bondo. I am very particular on vehicles. Pictures do not show imperfections well. There are some here and there. Serious buyers should see car in person. Note that in some pictures leaves on the ground are reflecting off of paint. It's not rust. The paint shines and reflects well.

Interior is in good shape. Seats look very good. Some wear shows on dash and doors. Headliner is good. Steering wheel leather is very good. Stock radio works. Sometime it takes a few seconds to come on. Power antenna works. Power windows work but are slow. Common with these cars. Glass is all good. Pro comp boost/vac, water temp, oil pressure mounted above glove box. Pro comp tach middle of dash. Scan master. Coolmist controller.

The engine consist of.

$1950 spent at machine shop. Large K&N, Ls1 air meter, MAF translator, Precisions intercooler, Coolmist progressive alky, GN 1 polished large throttle body and dog house, GN1 ported and polished intake, RJC power plate, JE forged pistons, H rods, Comp 212 roller cam kit, roller rockers, RJC head gaskets and aluminum head clamps, ARP studs and bolts, GN 1 aluminum heads and valve covers, poston headers, Precisions turbo, pre turbo oil filter, stainless down pipe, new front cover with high volume oil pump, new water pump, new oil pan, RJC biggie oil filter adaptor, aluminum underdrive pullies, voltage booster, A/C delete accessory bracket, aluminum radiator, low profile electric fan, Mini starter, complete new wiring harness, 50 lbs injectors, holley fuel pressure regulator, RJC RM plug wires, turbo tweak alky chip, PCV air/oil separator, brand new battery, brand new GM ignition box, RJC rear motor brace.

Pats torque converter, new transmission, old one had a crack in the housing. Aluminum driveshaft, Aftermarket rear end upper and lower control arms. Stock rear end in great shape. Gas tank is in good shape with walbro pump that is hot wired.

Weld wheels with brand new tires. Nitto drags on the back.

I have a aftermarket big front sway bar that isn't on the car but will come with it.

There are many extras I will include if buy it now is reached. Front drag skinnies I bought but never put on car. They are used but nice, spare fuel pump, car cover, another turbo and lots of other stuff I have lying around.

Anyone who knows these cars and how much their parts cost will know how much money is into this car.

Any questions please ask. I'm sure I have missed some things. Money scammers can move on to your next victim. If you do not have the funds please don't bid.

I am a honest seller. Check my feedback.

Looking for a F250, F350 in good shape no rust with low miles. + or - cash.

Thanks!

Next-gen LaCrosse, Cascada convertible coming to Buick showrooms in 2016

Wed, 23 Jul 2014

It's difficult to overstate how significant the post-bankruptcy years have been for General Motors' Buick brand. Arguably the most improved American automaker, Buick has rounded out its range with an excellent compact in the Verano, a well-balanced midsizer in the Regal and a segment-busting mini-CUV, with the Encore.
Seeking to keep that momentum going, the next several years will see the brand address a trio of its most obvious issues. First and foremost will be a replacement for the aging LaCrosse, a vehicle whose only bit of attention since its 2009 debut was a very light refresh in 2013.
According to Automotive News, we should expect the next-generation LaCrosse to arrive late next year or early in 2016, as a 2016 model. AN expects big design changes, as Buick attempts to further the LaCrosse from its popular platform-mate, the Chevrolet Impala. The changes won't be so radical, though, as to do away with its front-drive architecture, as the latest version of the Epsilon platform will underpin the next LaCrosse. The 3.6-liter V6 is likely to carry on, although a smaller, budget-minded offering is also extremely likely (we'll eat our hat if it's not the 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder from the Regal, Verano and Cadillac CTS et al.).

eBay Find of the Day: 1981 DeLorean with 570-hp twin-turbo Buick V6 [w/videos]

Mon, 23 Dec 2013

"Are you telling me that you built a time machine... out of a DeLorean?" So asked one Marty McFly of his mentor Dr. Emmett Brown, who replied: "The way I see it, if you're gonna build a time machine into a car, why not do it with some style?"
Doc Brown was right, of course: with an exotic mid-engine layout, gullwing doors and stainless steel body, the DeLorean DMC-12 sure looked the part. It just needed a little more juice. Well this one might not have 1.21 gigawatts of time-bending power - that'd be more than one and a half million horsepower - but it does have more than the 150 hp in the the standard 2.8-liter V6.
That's because this particular DeLorean has had its stock Peugeot Renault Volvo engine swapped out for a Buick-sourced, all-aluminum, 4.3-liter V6 from the Grand National. Dutteiller Performance didn't leave the engine in stock form, either: while they were swapping it out, they added a pair of turbochargers, new pistons, crank, cams and much, much more.

Buick dusting off Grand National, GNX and T-Type nameplates

Mon, 26 Nov 2012

Inside Line reports Buick is planning to bring back some of the more storied names from the company's past, including the Grand National, GNX and the T-Type. Those cars rose to prominence in the 1970s and '80s to become performance legends of their day.
The new models will reportedly make use of the rear-wheel drive platform that currently underpins the Cadillac ATS and all would arrive as sedans - according to an unnamed source familiar with the initiative. Odds are the T-Type and the Grand National would share a driveline, with honest money being on a new twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter V6 as the engine of choice. Word has it the mill will be good for anywhere from 350 to 400 horsepower.
That leaves only the GNX. Inside Line seems to think that machine could get down the road with some help from the all-new GM LT1 small-block V8. The engineers behind the ATS platform have already told us the engine bay is large enough for to accommodate the big eight pot, and since GM is most certainly working on an ATS-V, a slightly less powerful, less luxurious Buick iteration makes some kind of sense. We can't wait to see these things in the light of day.
