Up for sale is this nice '95 Buick Century wagon. Mileage equates to only 6200 miles per year! Car has the tried & true 3.1 V6 with 160 horsepower. Plenty of get up & go for a car this size. Front wheel drive. This baby is nicely loaded from the factory with.......power windows, locks, and seats (8 way drivers, 2 way passenger). Air condition, cruise control, rear wiper/washer, rear defroster, 3rd row seating (looks like it was never even used!), dual vanity mirrors on the sun visors, dual electrically adjusted outside mirrors, tilt wheel, fold down rear seats.

A stone chip in the windshield prompted a new shield be professionally installed. Shield has less than 2 miles of use! New wheel opening mouldings, steering wheel horn buttons, new wires and spark plugs (less than 10 miles of use). Cat back exhaust system replaced approx. 14 months ago.

I gave her a real good bath and interior cleaning. Spare tire looks brand new! Seats in very good condition with no visible rips, tears or worn areas. Original rug could use a shampooing. One area under driver's floor mat is worn but  not all the way through. Owned by a non-smoker.

Car starts right up and settles into a nice idle. Trans shifts smoothly.

Front brake pads and rotors were just replaced with new ones (less than 10 miles use). Left rear brake was just given a new wheel cylinder, brake shoes and drum.

Rusted through area of right 1/4 panel (bottom in back of wheel opening), was bad enough to require a professional repair be done by a local body shop. Bad metal was cut out, new steel was mig welded in place. Body filler was then applied, smoothed and primed. As per owner's  request, and to save on repair cost, a spray can of touch-up paint was used to finish the job. Color is pretty close but not exact. Interior area of repair (spare tire location) was seam sealed then undercoated.

Missing one center hub cap.

Radio works well but the electric antenna no longer lowers as it should.

All painted metal body surfaces still have a nice gloss. Never in an accident.

Front tires in fair condition, rear ones have plenty of tread left.

Air conditioning does not work, needs service (evacuation and recharge).

Registration expired during the summer and was not renewed.

Vehicle is sold in as-is condition.

Title in hand.

Sell-it-yourself: 1998 Buick Century Limited

Wed, May 10 2017

Looking to sell your car? We make it safe, easy, and free. Quickly create listings with up to six photos and reach millions of buyers. Log in and create your free listings. Well before Buick was tight with the Chinese, it was working to reconnect with middle class America. Of course, there's the middle class, and then there's the aspirational middle class. For them, near the end of the 20th Century, Buick offered the Buick Century and its better-zip-code derivative, the Century Limited. Having attended the Buick press launch about this time, the Century was – and is – what we'd call tidy in proportion and clean in its detailing. Its interior design and execution might have leaned toward old school, but the exterior surfaces were responsibly devoid of affectation. In short, almost twenty years ago we would have judged this to be sheetmetal that, if not defying age, would have certainly resisted aging. And we'll stand by that today. Our for sale example, nineteen years old and showing just over 111,000 miles, looks to deliver ample bang for the buck, especially when talking only 2,500 of those bucks. From the photos, this Buick seems to have come from a good home, even if the passenger rear door reflects what we used to call a whiskey ding, and is now - probably - a mojito ding. While kicking tires in West Palm Beach, note the custom wheels; they, too, are limited. Shop for the listing here. Buick Car Buying Used Car Buying Ownership Sedan

Buick Enspire spied for the first time, loses concept's electric powertrain

Thu, Jun 13 2019

About a year ago, Buick showed a high-performance electric crossover with wide, aggressive, curvy lines that was called the Buick Enspire. Now we have our first look at the production version. While it does seem to be styled like the crossover, it also seems to have lost its electric powertrain in favor of internal combustion. At the front of the crossover, we can clearly see it has the skinny, scowling headlights of the concept sitting high on the front fascia and flush with the hood. The main grille looks like it may be smaller, but it could also just be that the actual open section of the grille doesn't fill up the grille area of the fascia. In profile, the crossover has an attractive long nose, low roof and rising belt line. The rear shows the most change, as the rear pillars are much thicker, and the taillights don't appear to span the full width of the crossover. It's in the rear that we can also see the evidence that the Buick Enspire will actually be gasoline powered. Looking very closely under the rear bumper cover, we can see two exhaust tips turned to face the ground. Based on the size of the crossover, and the fact a Cadillac XT4 was being driven along with the prototype, the Enspire is probably using the XT4's platform, as well as its mechanical bits. That means it probably has a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder making 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Power will also probably go through a nine-speed automatic to either the front wheels or all four. This prototype looks to be pretty far along, so we'll probably see the production version in about a year. Considering the Enspire's size and likely powertrain, it may even replace the similar Buick Envision. And since the Envision is Buick's worst selling crossover (unless you count the Regal TourX as one), it would be ripe for replacement.

2017 Buick LaCrosse First Drive

Fri, Aug 5 2016

The 2017 Buick LaCrosse seems destined to never get the credit it deserves. It's bound to be dismissed as just another full-size sedan relic, ignored by those who habitually visit their Lexus dealer every few years for a new ES. This new LaCrosse will inevitably be overshadowed in the Buick showroom by SUVs and never fully appreciated by the majority of its buyers who simply want a big, comfy, and quiet car. That destiny would be a shame. The completely redesigned LaCrosse is now a legitimate luxury car, not because advertisements say it is, but for the way it drives, the way it looks, and the way it cossets you inside. The former is really the most impressive, since it's also the most surprising. During the LaCrosse press launch in Portland, Oregon, Buick boasted how comfortable and exceedingly quiet the car is, and indeed, it isolates road imperfections and allows for a pair of low talkers to converse in subdued tones. The big Buick sedan's low-effort steering will also satisfy the nice-and-easy tastes of most drivers. The best way to describe driving the LaCrosse is "unwaveringly pleasant." Yet, during that pleasant drive, road dips and mid-corner undulations don't make the comfort-tuned suspension bob and bound like its competitors might. Its body control and generally planted nature encourage speeds and confidence to creep ever so higher through successive sweeping corners on Oregon's densely forested Mist-Clatskanie Highway. Even that low-effort steering demonstrates precision, linearity, and just enough feedback to further spur on such a pace. This unexpected capability is best observed on cars equipped with the optional 20-inch wheels, which supplant the standard 18s and, more importantly, bring with them Continuous Damping Control (CDC) and GM's HiPer Strut front suspension, which is designed to quell torque steer and further improve cornering grip. You don't even have to engage CDC's firmer Sport mode to appreciate the LaCrosse's surprisingly sharp road manners. "We unleashed the engineers," chief engineer Jeffrey Yanssens said after our test drive. "I told them, 'I don't care how much it costs. I want you to know your system and I want your system to be the best it can be. What do you have to do to make that happen and what can I do to enable you to make that happen?'" Yanssens is honest and clearly proud of his team's work.
