Buick Club of America owner.  Buick Bugle Magazine Cover Car February 2013.  Documented T.V. History (Price is Right - May 2, 2012).  Believed to be just 54,850 miles. Exceptionally solid vehicle even in the most rust prone areas.   Has the factory 322 V8. Absolutely no smoke, shakes or wobbles, drives and stops straight and drives exceptional.  Has a lot of power and is very responsive.  Keeps up with modern day traffic with no hesitation.  Has no signs of accidents and truly drives like a dream.  Original color code BUU (Condor Yellow over Dover White). Vehicle was built in Southgate, CA, spent its life in the Van Nuys/Santa Monica area and came to my garage just a couple years back.  For the meticulous eye, I'd say a reupholstering of the back seat could be done.  Steady trophy winner. Excellent for a driver or collector and definitely ready to go as-is.

Just replaced front wheel bearings, generator rebuilt, under-hood insulation including "sombreros", professionally buffed, updated wiper motor to electric, refurbished gauge cluster and speedometer, horn works, emergency brake works, backup lights work, all dash lights work, all windows work, radio works, heaters work, even the clock works (just had it refurbished too). Very Flashy. Solid body. Rare in this gorgeous condition.

Buick teases the next-gen LaCrosse

Sat, Oct 31 2015

Buick continues to play coy about the next-generation LaCrosse, but the latest teaser hints at a swoopy profile for the upcoming sedan. While mostly just a silhouette, the teaser does provide a glimpse of the flowing roof and upward crease around the rear fenders – especially handsome touches. The rest of the LaCrosse remains a mystery. The only other part that we've seen is the Avenir-inspired grille, which features a more angular surround and chrome wings jutting from emblem in the center. Styling aside, the brand claims that the sedan is now more engaging behind the wheel thanks to a stronger, lighter chassis and five-link rear suspension. Powertrain rumors are rather vague but suggest the 3.6-liter V6 will be available when the model arrives at dealers in 2016. One thing we know for certain about the LaCrosse is that it debuts at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November. That only leaves a few more weeks for Buick to keep this mystery going. Related Video:

Buick Envision to go on sale in third quarter of 2015

Mon, 06 Oct 2014

Following an earlier concept and successive teasers, Buick revealed the new Envision crossover a little over a month ago. The thing is, it was launched in China, for China. The question, then, is whether it will make the jump to the North American market. And the answer is: quite possibly.
According to division sales chief Duncan Aldred in speaking to Edmunds, Buick is looking into the prospect of bringing the Envision to the US: "We can't confirm anything, but clearly it is a very nicely designed and executed product that is very much a Buick," said Aldred.
If and when the compact crossover would appear in US showrooms, it would slot in between the smaller Encore and the larger Enclave. It would likely be offered in front-wheel drive, all-wheel drive and mild hybrid configurations. Sources expect it to arrive in the third quarter of 2015 as a competitor to the likes of the Mercedes GLA, Lexus NX and Lincoln MKC.

Wagons make a bit of a comeback, with new models, sales on the rise

Thu, Jan 10 2019

Consider this an official invitation to hop on the wagon bandwagon. There's still tons of room because, well, it's a wagon (and market share is still extremely small). But according to new data, the segment is growing. According to a report from Bloomberg, using data from Edmunds.com, roughly 211,600 Americans purchased wagons in 2018. That is technically down from the 237,600 sold in 2017, but wagon sales in the U.S. are up 29 percent from where they were five years ago. It's also the third year in a row that wagon sales broke the 200,000 mark. The sales trends have been somewhat representative of the availability of wagons. New models have debuted during the past 5 years and therefore offer more opportunity at more brands to buy wagons. In addition to more modest cars such as the Volkswagen Golf Sportwagen, several luxury and performance brands are offering wagons today, such as Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Porsche, Jaguar, Volvo and Buick. (Bloomberg's headlines make the point that "crossovers are for the Kardashians," and wagons are just, well, classier.) This uptick in brand-name availability, as well as extremely well-executed design on most of the wagons currently available, has helped increase the segment's desirability. That, and its ability to better accomplish the same tasks at hand while standing out from the crossover and SUV crowd. Still, the posted numbers represent a small fraction of the total vehicles sold. According to the data, wagons only held a 1.4 percent market share in 2017, the segment's best recent year. Wagons hold a steadfast place in America's past, and they're writing an interesting new story. With the downturn in traditional cars, they may continue to create an unexpected narrative.
