1937 Buick Four Door Sedan For Parts Or Restoration on 2040-cars
Hyde Park, New York, United States
This vehicle was parked in a barn and forgotten. The window handles all turn and go up and down. The drivers vent window needs to have its glass replaced. There are built in visors on both passenger and driver side above the exterior of the door. There was a lot of items in this car when we took ownership ; a gas tank, mouldings of various sizes, rubber to seal the doors {new in boxes}, and a few other odds and ends . They are included in this auction. The wipers are in the glove box on the dash, however we never received a key for it or the trunk. We have a key for the ignition, and gained access to the trunk through the back seat. Some of the mouldings are on , some are missing. The gas tank is not installed in the car .The running boards are gone, the front grill is not straight but both pieces are included. The headliner has no light lens and has 2 rips in it. The rocket shaped light on the front fender is missing its lens, and the rear seat has a hole to the right of the cushion in the wall area. The seats are in good condition, on the back of the trunk the word BUICK is on the light, on the back windowsill sits the roll up shade that could be snapped on for privacy, as snap is still present, shade itself needs repair. Cannot locate a title. Both hanging handles are intact and the 24 pictures tell the rest. I will do my best to answer any of your questions. I thank you for ALL of your time. |

Next Buick Regal coming in 2017, could be imported from Germany
Sun, 03 Aug 2014The Buick Regal is based on the Opel/Vauxhall Insignia, a pair of sedans from General Motors' European and British outfits. In fact, over 46,000 Regals from model years 2010 and 2011 were screwed together on the same lines as the Insignia twins, before GM's Oshawa, Ontario factory took over production fully. Considering this closeness, rumors that claim the next-generation Regal - due for 2017 - could move back to Europe aren't terribly surprising. Here's why, according to Automotive News.
Oshawa is home to three other vehicles, aside from the Regal - the Chevrolet Camaro, Impala rental queen and the Cadillac XTS. We already know next-gen Camaro production is headed to Lansing, MI, and that the fleet-only Impala will (finally!) die in 2016. As for the XTS, as AN explains it, sales are so slow that GM will either kill it or just shuffle its production volume elsewhere.
Taken along with the fact that Unifor, the Canadian labor union repping workers at the Oshawa factory, claim GM hasn't made any guarantees about future production at the nearly 60-year-old factory, it seems fairly clear that the Regal's current factory is going to be put out to pasture.
GM recalls 500K Chevy Camaros for ignition-switch defect
Fri, 13 Jun 2014General Motors issued a recall for more than a half million Chevrolet Camaros on Friday morning because of an ignition-switch safety hazard that mirrors the one at the center of the company's current crisis.
The problem affects Camaro models from the 2010 to 2014 model years. Approximately 464,712 cars are impacted in the United States, and 511,528 overall in North America. GM will alter the Camaro key to a more standard design, and will notify car owners with a recall notice in the mail.
In an announcement, the company said the ignition switches on the Camaros are fundamentally different parts than the older ignition switches found on defective cars that are responsible for killing at least 13 people and causing 54 crashes.
2014 Chevy Malibu, Buick LaCrosse recalled over brake mix-up
Thu, 08 May 2014The recall madness over at General Motors isn't letting up anytime soon, as evidenced by this latest call-back of 8,208 Chevrolet Malibu and Buick LaCrosse sedans. For those keeping track, this is the fifth recall that GM has announced in the past two weeks, not to mention the massive ignition-switch issue from earlier this year.
GM issued a statement saying these sedans are being recalled due to "possible reduced braking performance," according to Automotive News. The problem? Rear brake rotors may have accidentally been installed in the front brake assembly. And since both cars use more robust braking systems up front than out back, braking power could be reduced, increasing the risk of a crash.
Automotive News reports that, of the over 8,000 cars being recalled, about 1,700 are currently in the hands of customers, while the others are still in dealer inventory. GM is unaware of any crashes or injuries related to this problem. All of the affected vehicles are from the 2014 model year.
