This is a family owned car ordered new for my mother by my father for her 80th birthday. It was ordered with everything and the sticker was over 180k. We decided the car was too much for her when my father died. I decided to buy it and had it shipped to my home, here in Palm Springs and I rarely drive it. I spent about 25k on replacing the front end with the 2008 "Speed" front end, and rear panel with tips. I had the ECM remapped and it now has over 700 BHP and over 799 Ft Lbs. I have even put in the $2,000.00 Speed suspension module to make it a virtual "GT SPEED". You must be careful, as all four wheels will spin even with the traction control on. I bought the Mulliner Drilled Pedals and shift knob as well, and upgraded the clock to the newer version. It has always been serviced by Bentley on a yearly basis and I just had a very extensive service done at Desert European 300 miles ago. I have had all fluids replaced and even had the brakes serviced. The car came with the factory chrome 19" wheels, however I decided to update the look of the car by adding the longer front end as on the 2008 Speed version. I also bought a new set of 20" Speed wheels and correct "B" Bentley Pirelli tires. Even though this car was ordered with the lambs wool mats, I ordered a brand new set and do not put my shoes on them. I do not allow anyone to sit in the car but myself, and when at the dealer I am the one that drives it into the service bay. I do not want my leather to look horrible and wrinkled like most of these do. It has a factory Sirus XM radio, factory Bentley Nokia phone, all three keys ( I removed the tabs on the ends to keep them straight, so I knew which key was the master). I never let anyone else drive the car and the only other person that did, was my mother. When I bought the car I got .09% financing, so I didn't think it was smart to give up my money ( to purchase it outright) as long as I could buy the car on the "Banks Dime". The only other mechanical work that has ever been done besides the regular services, was the replacement of the Navigation unit which cost $2,800.00; the replacement of the blend air door motors which was an additional $1,800.00, plus the $2,000.00 suspension module that I had put in. Those are the three services you will see on the full brand new CarFax at the bottom of this listing. Please note that the car was "bumped" on the LH rear bumper, while parked with my mother sitting in the car by a woman visiting Boca Raton. This woman was backing her rental car out of it's parking space and her front bumper rubber rubbed against the edge of the Bentley's bumper. Since, the car was a rental, my mother was "in a panic", so she called for the Police. A report was made simply because it was required by the Rental Car Company, though no damage was done (when I got the car I did notice a little black streak on the edge of the rear bumper, I used 3M Finesse-it compound and the spot was gone). I have since had the entire car color sanded and polished to a "Piano-like" finish. It has no dents, dings or defects in the paint whatsoever. This car has never been on a freeway.... therefore, NONE of the paint, glass, headlamps or "Jewelry" has any pits or chips. My Ebay reputation speaks for itself. I am a Virgo and I am true to my personality. Perfection or nothing. The headliner is not falling down like most all I have seen, and the seatbelts look like they have NEVER been used. The seats are perfect, not wrinkled or crushed as happens to so many of these cars. The interior of this car smells absolutely brand new, just as it did when it left the factory; It has NEVER been smoked in, and NO perfumes or " hands with lotions" have ever touched the inside of this car. The trunk has never been used and it even comes with the optional factory battery tender. All books, keys and pamphlets are present and accounted for. This is a turn key car and I promise that you will never locate one better than this.... there just aren't any finer. Unless told otherwise, you would think this was a 2010 GT SPEED!!! People comment especially on how much they love this color; which was also a special ordered color which cost an additional $6,400.00 (It matched my mothers eyes)In conclusion, I have over $150,000.00 invested in this car, though I do realize, high end cars such as these are not investments.... they are pure "Indulgence". If you want a "TURN-KEY" car that is also a "showpiece". then this is the car for you. I am selling this car at a massive loss, and any reasonable offer will be considered. I must make room for the, new Mercedes CL 65, I just purchased and the Bentley must go. I only have room for so many cars and if one comes in... sadly, one must go. It's that simple. Please feel free to ask me any question after reading all the information in the above text. Bentley teases new Flying Spur's 3D diamond leather upholstery

Fri, May 17 2019

Playing the long game before unveiling the new Flying Spur, Bentley's published the second teaser for the new "luxury grand touring sedan." The last one homed in on the retracting "Flying B hood" ornament. This one focuses on what Bentley says is "an automotive world-first," three-dimensional textured leather lining the cabin. Created by Crewe's craftsmen and demonstrated on the door panel, the leather adopts a diamond-quilted pattern, but without stitches indicative of quilting. Up close, it looks like the leather simply adheres to a complex relief form. That's trick we expect to be one of many that will supposedly "set new standards for contemporary craftsmanship." The coming third-generation Flying Spur will want to come out of the gate with just such goals. When the first generation arrived in 2005, it became the Toyota Camry for rich people. The second generation — which still rides on that original platform — blanched in the heat of competition from Bentley's own lineup, on top of competition from the Mercedes-Maybach below and cross-country rival Rolls-Royce Ghost. The new model is all new, from the MSB platform shared with the new Continental GT and Porsche Panamera, to a design that will put more separation between the two-door Continental and the four-door Flying Spur. Expect the 6.0-liter W12 with 626 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque as the marquee engine, and a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with 542 hp and 568 lb-ft as the economical choice. Eventual V8 S and Speed models will wring more grunt from those two engines. A plug-in hybrid will debut some point, based around a 2.9-liter V6. We don't know when the debut will happen, perhaps as soon as Pebble Beach in August, or as late as the Los Angeles Auto Show in November, or the Frankfurt Motor Show in between. If you're keen on keeping up in the meantime, you can "register your interest" at NewFlyingSpur.com. As others have noted, the honorifics in the dropdown list at the site include "Lord" and "Sheikh," because titles matter even more at $200,000 before options.

What it's like to drive Bentley's Continental GT3 racecar

Wed, Dec 7 2016

I'm gliding across the back roads of Napa in a Bentley Flying Spur V8 S, and all is right with the world. Two and a half tons of metal, leather, and hubris provide insulation, while the audio system's eleven speakers smother me with the syrupy sounds of Katy Perry as the landscape floats past. My guilty pleasure is mine alone, because this bank vault on wheels is practically soundproof. But I'll soon be harnessed into a fearsome hellion that would terrify all but the edgiest of Bentley owners. I'm headed to Sonoma Raceway to drive the 2,800-pound, 600-plus-horsepower Bentley Continental GT3 racecar. Goodbye swankiness, hello madness. Bentley probably isn't the first brand you associate with racing, but the Flying B's competition highlights include Le Mans wins in 1924, 1927, 1928, 1929, 1930, and, most recently, a top finish at the fabled endurance event with the brand's 2003 return. The 1-2 victory in '03 came in the wildly engineered LMGTP prototype class; it wasn't until a more relatable, Continental GT-based car was campaigned eight years later that Bentley unlocked the full potential of its rich history. "Motorsports is essentially a business tool," Bentley race boss Brian Gush told Autoblog at the GT3's race debut three years ago, reinforcing the industry's familiar "race on Sunday, sell on Monday" mantra. But let's also tip a hat to the intangible: There's something undeniably cool about watching a beefed-up version of your daily driver battling it out on a world-class track, especially when that car is a fat-cat luxury coupe that seems better suited to the boulevard than the race circuit. After swapping blue jeans for a Nomex jumpsuit, I watch as the GT3 emerges from the transporter, and the sight is downright intimidating. It's wide and low, with an impossibly big wing. There's another source of intimidation: While a small group of journalists has sampled Bentley's media car, I'm about to get behind the wheel of a privateer-owned car. No pressure. "Ever met the owner?" a Bentley rep asks, referring to Team Absolute's Adderly Fong. "He's a big guy, mean, with a really short temper," he quips, which is essentially shorthand for "don't wreck his car." I crack a tentative smile, acknowledging the not-so-veiled message. Bentley test driver Butch Leitzinger gives me the lowdown on this particular GT3, which happens to be coming fresh off a top-ten finish at the weekend's Pirelli World Cup Challenge.

Here's our first look at the new Bentley Flying Spur sedan

Tue, Jun 6 2017

We've seen a few different versions of the new Bentley Continental GT coupe rolling around Europe, but now we have our first view at the Continental Flying Spur, the car's four-door variant. Just like the coupe, it looks a helluva lot like the outgoing model. Bentley has done just enough to keep the car looking fresh while retaining what are now characteristic traits of the Continental twins. The Flying Spur is really just a stretched version of the Continental GT, though the former no longer carries the Continental prefix. While we don't know exactly how much longer the wheelbase is, expect generous legroom for those in the backseat. Don't expect many changes from the B-pillar forward, including under the hood. Look for both a twin-turbo V8 and a meaty twin-turbo W12, both making copious amounts of horsepower and torque. These spy shots don't give us the best view of the front, but we can see that Bentley has stuck on fake headlights, just like the GT prototypes. The grille appears to be a little more upright than the current model. There looks to be significant differences between the front of the GT and the Flying Spur, but we'll have to wait for another look. The rear has the now requisite oval taillights and exhaust tips. The entire rear looks like a GT with wide hips. There's been no word on when the car will debut, but look for news as soon as this fall or early next spring.
