Updated Bentley Bentayga spotted testing in the snow

It seems that the Bentley Bentayga is up for a refresh. These spy shots, fresh in from frigid-looking Europe, show us a Bentayga that’s adopted a front end thatÂ’s much closer to the Flying Spur and the slinkier Continental GT. That means larger secondary lamps up front, a revised lower fascia, and slimmer taillights with a pronounced oval element thatÂ’s echoed in the dual exhaust pipes. Unlike the last Flying Spur we spotted, which was a prototype of a likely plug-in hybrid variant, this Bentayga doesnÂ’t appear to have dual filler doors, one for gas and one for a plug. ThatÂ’s not to say one isnÂ’t coming; the Bentayga will almost certainly get an updated version of the PHEV powertrain that failed to win us over on our last drive. Hopefully that, too, will get an update to make its groaning V6 less sad-sack and provide a little more oomph to its pure EV mode. As with the expected PHEV variant, we think that the Bentayga will get the rest of the Flying SpurÂ’s engine options Â… which for now is a singular W12 sporting twin turbos. We believe a V8 should follow in both models. Inside, expect changes to mirror the tech and interior features of the latest Bentley models. Maybe itÂ’ll even get the quilted leather found on the $15,000 Mulliner package. WeÂ’ll know for sure when Bentley pulls the sheet off the revised Bentayga soon.

Bentley EXP 10 Speed 6 Concept is a British Racing Green dream [w/video]

"Oh, hey there Bentley EXP10 Speed 6. You're damn handsome." That, of course, was our reaction to seeing Crewe's latest concept under the lights of Geneva's Palexpo convention center after yesterday's debut. Finished in a gorgeous, heavily metallic shade of British Racing Green, the EXP 10 Speed 6 is, as we said yesterday, a truly different take on what we've come to expect from Bentley. It's low, featuring a classic long-hood, short-deck design that expands on the British luxury marque's traditional styling features. The egg-crate grille and quad headlights give the Speed 6 a face that is at the same time new and familiar, while the wide rear haunches bleed over the rear wheels and add to the car's svelte silhouette. The cabin, meanwhile, is absolutely striking. Open the swan-wing doors and aside from the tan quilted Poltrona Frau leather on the seats and doors, the aluminum accents on the steering wheel and shifter are the big aesthetic takeaways. The digital dash and tablet-like center stack are modern takes that Bentley desperately needs to implement in its production models, while the cockpit-like layout places a greater focus on the driver than even the more enthusiastic Continental GT. This is what a street-legal 3,000-hp Bentley Continental GT drag racer sounds like

When it comes to street-legal cars there's "power," there's "Power" and then there's "PAHRRRRRR!" This Bentley Continental GT dragster built by Webster Engineering in Bedford, England owns that third category, with its 3,082-horsepower heartbeat erupting from a twin-turbo, 10.2-liter Chevrolet V8 crate motor built by Steve Morris Engines. An entrant in the Street Eliminator Class of last weekend's European Drag Racing Championship, it is fully road legal.
As you might expect, it's not exactly a factory-fresh Continental GT, more like an authentic Bentley bodyshell placed over a tube-frame chassis and a carbon-fiber-heavy interior that took eight months and 250,000 pounds ($420,763 US) to finish. It will be driven by its owner, Yorkshire watch repairer Steve Neimantas. Builder Jon Webster told Autoblog that they're hoping for times in the "mid to low sevens on street tires and 6's on slicks."
