Xcar spots the differences of refreshed Bentley Continental GT

Bentley unfurled the details about the refresh of its second-generation Continental GT earlier this year and gave the high-speed cruiser an official unveiling at the Geneva Motor Show. Even with the tweaks, the British brand kept its most popular model very refined, though. If you're still having a problem spotting all the differences for this posh coupe, Xcar is here to help with an informative new video. Rather than putting the focus exclusively on driving impressions, Xcar really leans heavily into listing the specific updates for the latest Conti GT. Beyond the updated front end, likely the most obvious change for the refreshed model are the big, B-shaped pieces of chrome trim around the side vents. If not obvious already, they make it exceedingly clear that this is a Bentley. A neat touch is the nip and tuck at the rear to create a spoiler on the trunk lid, which does a great job of communicating the intent of the company's sporty model. Xcar ranks the Continental GT as Britain's best grand tourer, although this video doesn't really explain why in much detail. Volkswagen Group previews its wares on eve of Geneva show

The Volkswagen Group is comprised of 11 brands producing 240 vehicles across 49 factories throughout the world. So the best way to show off the range of the VW family is to cram a few thousand journalists and VIPs into a massive makeshift stand to outline the Group's goals, what's in the pipeline and what you'll be able to buy later this year.
To that end, VW pulled out all the stops on the eve of the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, bringing along 10 vehicles from across the range. We'll be delving into the details of each over the next two days of show coverage, but before that happens, you can read all about what we saw tonight from the cheap seats after the break.

Bentley Continental Flying Spur taking shape

The redesigned Bentley Continental Flying Spur has again been caught undergoing testing, though this time away from public roads while tackling the Nürburgring's 154 turns. The car we see in these new spy shots also reveals more of the Flying Spur's new lines, which we expect to largely mirror the shape already seen on the new Continental GT and GTC models.
Likewise, the new four-door Continental will probably come with the same engine options as the coupe and convertible: the tried and true 6.0-liter W12 making 567 horsepower and the new twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 producing 500 hp. Its two stablemates were also updated with an eight-speed transmission for 2012, so expect the Spur to swap that many gears, as well.
Really, the only unknowns left are how Bentley will be handling the four-door specific design elements like the shape of the rear end, which is somewhat obscured by this car's checkerboard camo, as well as when the sedan will debut. We've received no indication thus far that Bentley is planning to use the Paris Motor Show, which happens later this week, for the Flying Spur's unveiling. That leaves a string of upcoming shows where it could happen, including the LA Auto Show, Detroit Auto Show and Geneva Motor Show.
