2006 Bentley Continental Gt Coupe 2-door 6.0l on 2040-cars
Los Angeles, California, United States
edit: After posting it I see Autocheck gave it a 'minor issue'. But if you click the AutoCheck history you can see it's a non-issue. The car has had no accidents or title issues. O'Gara (Bentley of Beverly Hills) sold it with 19,716 miles. I transferred the title to my LLC when it had 22,727 miles, and then Bentley re-reported the CPO warranty contract with the LLC, but with the original 19,716 miles when the contract was originally signed. It seems AutoCheck is counting that as an 'odometer rollback', but if you check the full history, that is the only issue, and it's not correct. O'Gara can confirm it's been serviced regularly, and the odometer has never been rolled back. Pristine 2006 Bentley Continental GT I made this HD video with slow driveby’s showing the perfect condition: http://youtu.be/yDpRZEpbFk0 Triple black: Jet black exterior, black leather, and piano black high-gloss wood
It was a certified pre-owned with a 3-year
factory bumper-to-bumper warranty, which just expired in March. In March, O’Gara went through the car in
detail to find any issues that could be replaced under warranty. There was a slow leak in the air suspension
system, which is the only major problem in these cars, so O’Gara replaced both front
sides under warranty, and said the suspension will still be covered by Bentley’s
new parts warranty even after the warranty expires. In 3 years, that was the only repair to the car. Remember that although the body and leather
and wood is pure Bentley, hand-made in Crewe, England, the drivetrain is
essentially shared with the Audi A8 W12.
You get the styling and luxury of a Bentley, and the reliability of a
German car. Used Bentley’s are rather affordable since,
unlike most cars that depreciate down to zero, Bentley prices level off and do
not depreciate much after 5 or 6 years.
My total cost of ownership the past 3 years including depreciation,
repairs and maintenance has only been about $417/month (not counting the tires
and brakes). The car has an insane 552 horsepower, and does
0-60 in 4.4 seconds. All wheel drive
gives the car incredible traction, so it goes where you point it with never any
drama. The ride quality is uniquely
Bentley. The all aluminum body is
lighter and more agile than one would expect for such a car.

Bentley's upcoming Bentayga crossover sheds more camo
Mon, Feb 23 2015Bentley keeps edging closer and closer to launching its first SUV in the upcoming new Bentayga, and this latest batch of spy shots give us our best glimpse at the forthcoming ultra-luxury crossover yet. Spied undergoing cold-weather testing in northern Sweden, this prototype is wearing less camouflage and more of what appears to be its production bodywork than ever before. Of course, some parts remain disguised, especially around the front fenders and tail lights, but if you've been wondering what the new high-rider from Crewe will look like, this ought to give you a pretty solid idea ahead of the final form that's anticipated to debut later this year. The Bentayga will be based on the same architecture that already underpins the new Audi Q7 and is set to form the basis of the next Volkswagen Touareg and Porsche Cayenne. Only Bentley is expected to offer a wide array of powertrain options, including the company's existing V8 and W12 engines and a new hybrid setup.
Set your Bentley Bentayga apart with Mountain Marquetry trim
Mon, Jun 6 2016One of the best things about the ordering process at Bentley has got to be the sheer level of customization on offer. We're especially fond of the wood veneers. But if none of them meet your high standards, the company's Mulliner division now offers this intricate Mountain Marquetry dashboard design. The hand-crafted artistic vista depicts the Roque Bentayga, the mountain formation located on Gran Canaria in Spain's Canary Islands from which the company took the name for its new sport utility vehicle. The time-intensive installation is made of 32 layers of wood taken from six different species of tree. We don't know just what woods Bentley's artisans use to weave the wooden tapestry, but as it is, the Bentayga alone is available with an array of seven such options, including chestnut, eucalyptus, ash, madrona (a type of Ericaceae indigenous to our West Coast), two types of burr walnut, and a piano-lacquered walnut. If you're not into the whole wood thing, Bentley has also been known to offer trim in alternative materials like carbon fiber, aluminum, and even stone. It goes without saying, of course, that all of this comes at a price. We wouldn't be surprised to discover that said price could get you an entire second automobile. But cost is seldom an object for many Bentley customers who want their automobile to stand out from all the other Bentleys parked at the country club, racquet club, yacht club, or whatever other kind of club the rest of us probably haven't even heard of. Watch a Bentley Continental GT Speed hit 206 mph in Australia
Wed, Nov 4 2015The top speed listed on most cars is usually a rather theoretical affair. After all, where can you actually drive a car to its v-max, anyway? Well there are a few highways in the world – and really only a few – that will let you drive as fast as you can. One of them is in the Australian outback, so that's where Bentley took its new Continental GT Speed. The road in question is called the Stuart Highway. It's a 1,761-mile road which runs across the continent from Darwin in the north to Port Augusta in the south. That's about the same distance as driving from New York to Denver. Only unlike any of the highways you'd take to drive across America, the Stuart Highway has one long stretch of 120 miles between Alice Springs and Barrow Creek that is completely derestricted, and has been for the past two years since local authorities set about trying out removing the speed limit. To see how fast the new GT Speed could actually go in the real world, Bentley put Aussie touring car champion John Bowe behind the wheel and let 'er rip. The result is a top speed clocked at 206 miles per hour. That's pretty darn fast for any car, let alone one that weighs a massive 5,000 pounds. Its 6.0-liter twin-turbo W12 engine contributes significantly to that curb weight, but with 626 horsepower and 607 pound-feet of torque on tap, it also has the muscle to keep the Conti pulling like a freight train all the way up past the double-century mark. Watch it unfold in the video above. BENTLEY CONTINENTAL GT SPEED: VMAX IN THE OUTBACK - Continental GT Speed hits 206 mph (331 km/h) top speed on Stuart Highway, Australia - Northern Territory route one of only three derestricted roads in the world - Australian racing legend, John Bowe, takes Grand Tourer on extraordinary high-speed run - Continental GT Speed combines supercar performance with supreme luxury (Crewe, 04 November 2015) The 16MY Bentley Continental GT Speed has been taken to its top speed of 206 mph (331 km/h)* by Australian racing legend, John Bowe, on the derestricted Stuart Highway** deep in the Northern territory. The 635 PS (626 bhp), 820 Nm (607 lb.ft) W12-powered GT Speed Grand Tourer reached Vmax in just 76 seconds, covering a distance of 9.4 kilometres in the process. At top speed, the 6.0-litre twin-turbo Grand Tourer was covering a staggering 92 metres (or one football pitch) per second. John Bowe said: "This isn't a modified racecar; it's a luxurious grand touring road car fresh off the production line.
