Outstanding 2007 Bmw Z4 3.0 Si Roadster Convertible on 2040-cars
Wayzata, Minnesota, United States
Up for auction from the Vintage Motor Toys Private Reserve is this 2 owner outstanding 2007 BMW Z4 3.0Si Roadster Convertible. This outstanding condition Z4 has been cared for and maintained to the highest standards and has always been maintained by the BMW dealer-it is barely broken in with just 40,150 miles. As would be expected, this can has never been driven in rain or snow and has been stored inside as well as being stored in heated storage during winters. The exterior of the car was recently professionally clayed, buffed and foam padded at a high cost to a mirror finish by a professional who specializes in black cars. The mirror like paint finish simply stops people in their tracks. As we make our way under the hood we can see that it is also very, very clean most likely because it was never dirty. This Z4 features the Premium Package, Sport Package, Heated Front Seats, Xenon Headlights and of course a 6 speed manual transmission. Please do not confuse this Z4 with the others commonly offered by dealers that have been smeared on by amateur detailers or amateur hobbyists in their driveways. This Z4 has been used sparingly, is accident free and has been maintained by our in house professional detailer with over 25 years of experience. This Z4 is ready to be used and needs absolutely nothing to be enjoyed. I would like to stress once more that this Z4 should not be confused with the others that the general public typically has to choose from. It has nothing to do with and never will have anything to do with the average Z4 example. It is so clean, original, correct and well preserved it would be very, very difficult to find another one in this sort of condition especially from a reliable collector with outstanding feedback from selling New Old Stock parts and vintage Japanese motorcycles as well as cars. I also of course have a clear title, keys and original shop manual in near new original condition for this Z4 as well and this Z4 is ready for export if the new owner lives in another country. I can not stress enough what a rare opportunity this is to acquire an original, outstanding Z4.
Regarding Payment and Shipping, I will accept a wire transfer or a certified check for the Z4. Payment must be received within 10 days of the close of the auction. I will and can assist with shipping this car anywhere in the USA or any other country in the World. I have shipped many classic Japanese motorcycles to Australia, Japan and Europe and have many different channels to get cars exported for a reasonable cost. I can also work directly with your shipper if you are outside the U.S.A to get this car to you as well. I can help with the paperwork and any customs forms free of charge as well. We can work together and get this car to you if you are outside the USA-it is no problem at all.
Please feel free to contact me via the ask seller a question link on this auction listing or call me (Kurt) directly at 651-895-5155. I am more than happy to answer any questions you may have regarding this Z4. Also, please look at my feedback and bid with complete confidence. I only offer the finest NOS parts and rare motorcycles from my collection and I have thousands of happy customers around the world. |

Popular Mechanics Breakthrough Awards honors GM Super Cruise, BMW i3
Wed, 16 Oct 2013Our friends at Popular Mechanics have announced the winners of their 2013 Breakthrough Awards, which honor innovations and new technologies in a variety of fields, ranging from medicine to electronics to space travel. Among the winners were a pair of automakers.
The BMW i3 was named one of PM's product breakthroughs, and while the diminutive city car has a range comparable to other electrics, Popular Mechanics was impressed the i3's use of carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic, which allows the i3 to tip the scales at just 2,800 pounds. But the i3's space-age materials wouldn't have been such a smash if it were priced beyond what the general public could afford. BMW's ability to offer a vehicle with such an advanced construction for around $42,000 (nearly half the price of the Cadillac ELR and only about $7,000 more than a Chevrolet Volt or Ford Focus Electric) is wildly impressive and speaks volumes about the future of ultra-light composites in the auto industry.
The other big winner comes from General Motors, which was named an Innovator this year for its semi-autonomous Super Cruise technology that's currently being tested on a Cadillac SRX. The technology, which we've reported on before, combines adaptive cruise control and lane centering into a super system that will allow hands-free driving under certain conditions.
LA Design Challenge invokes biology for 2025 concepts [w/poll]
Wed, 13 Nov 2013Participants in the annual LA Design Challenge always manage to come up with edgy, wacky designs for future vehicles, but with a theme of "Biomimicry and Mobility: 2025" this year's crop of cars might be the quirkiest we've ever seen. As usual, automotive designers from around the world participated in this year's competition, and all the designs will all be unveiled next week during the LA Auto Show with a winner being announced on November 21.
Chinese automakers made a strong showing with Qoros, SAIC Motor, JAC Motors (the company responsible for the Ford F-150 clone) and Changfeng all bringing interesting takes on the biology, human intelligence and sustainability theme. One of the more innovative ideas among these automakers is the Qoros Silk Road System allows autonomous vehicles to drive in packs similar to how ants travel. Speaking of ants, the SAIC Motor Mobiliant (shown above) gets its design from the shape of an ant's body, and, like the insect, it can climb building acting as a personal elevator as well. The JAC Motors design also merges vehicle and building design, while the Changfeng LaBrea inspired by the design of muscle fibers.
Other entrants include Subaru and US-based design teams for BMW, Toyota and Mazda. BMW's duo of concepts mimic plant and animal life. The LA Subways concept acts as a submersible, single-person vehicle to take advantage of the LA river, with a shape similar to an Ocean Sunfish. The Sustainable Efficient Exploratory Device (SEED) imitates the shape of a seed pod, and uses propulsion methods inspired by a shark, dragonfly and a water bug. Mazda's Auto Adapt might be the most car-like concept of the bunch, while the Subaru Suba-Roo and the Calty-designed, Toyota e-grus are the most mind-blowingly awesome.
Ken Block and friends race light in silly-beautiful Castrol commercial
Wed, 28 May 2014How does one make fast, loud, drifting cars better? Well, you can add more fast, loud, drifting cars or you can add lasers. Either or, really. In this case, Castrol did the right thing and added both, creating a highly stylized commercial for its Edge Titanium motor oil starring South African racer Adrian Zaugg, BMW factory driver Augusto Farfus, Audi DTM and Le Mans staple Mike Rockenfeller and some bloke named Ken Block.
Their cars? No surprise, but Block is in his Ford Fiesta GRC, while Zaugg samples a Lamborghini Aventador and Farfus and Rockenfeller drive along party lines, with a BMW M4 and an Audi R8, respectively. And those cars look good, too, thanks to the creative light and laser work on display.
Take a look below for the video from Castrol.
