2007 Bmw Z4 on 2040-cars
Arlington, Texas, United States
Please message me with questions at: suellensssolana@welshhome.net . Since you are looking at this listing, I am sure you are a sports car enthusiast and you know everything about this
BMW "M" performance vehicle... But just in case you don't, 330 HP naturally aspirated @ just little over 3K lbs
with 9k RPM red line making 0 to 60 in just 4.9 s... Now the details:
Everything works, power everything, dual electronic seats with memory, power soft top, heated seats, bluetooth
connection, aux connection, sports mode, BMW assist system, auto climate control, etc, etc. it has been well
maintained, it shows pride of ownership. Turns heads and gets lots of compliments. Look at the pictures and ask all
your questions.
I love the hardtop on my vehicle, you won't see one like it anywhere, you get a unique Coupe look and still can
take a roadster ride anytime, this is a true all weather roadster since besides the hardtop it also comes with the
winter package with heated seats. The hardtop is carbon fiber made, imported from France which cost a little over
$4500 including shipping.
The interior is in very good condition, love the red leather seats with the silver and black accents in the
interior, the soft top is in very good condition since it has barely seen the sun, no rips or leaks whatsoever.
Mechanically the car needs nothing, 6 speed transmission shifts flawlessly, engine is super strong, engine bay is
clean and everything in its place, maintenance is up to date, just changed the oil and just spent $2300 in a
COMPLETE new set of brakes.
Everything is stock in this car, just the wheels are aftermarket, Forgestar F14, 19x8.5 front, 19x10 rear.
I hate to sell my car, I hope it goes to a good home.

BMW, Sixt carsharing making money most places
Wed, Aug 20 2014The DriveNow carsharing service, which is a partnership between BMW and Sixt, is growing quite rapidly. "We've been surprised about the explosion of new subscriptions, which has helped boost revenue," says Sixt CEO Erich Sixt. The number of DriveNow users has increased from 215,000 at the end of last year to 300,000 today. Sixt says that DriveNow has been profitable in cities in which it has been established for over a year. Perhaps encouraged by its unexpected success, DriveNow is set to expand even further. The service is currently available in five German cities, as well as in San Francisco, California, and the involved parties are considering a five-year plan to expand to 25 more cities in Europe and the US. Still, Sixt expects DriveNow to report a "small-to-medium, single-digit" loss for this year, according to Sixt CFO Julian zu Putlitz. It's no big deal, just the result of startup costs in new areas. Sixt, which is Germany's largest car rental company, also reported that its own second-quarter income rose 12 percent to $37.7 million, while sales rose 7.6 percent to $585.78 million. DriveNow uses a membership and pay-per-minute model that allows customers to rent BMW and Mini vehicles as they need them. The service also acts as a way to let potential customers try out the vehicles and familiarize themselves with the brands before they buy cars of their own at some point. Depending on the location, DriveNow's fleet includes the BMW 1 Series, ActiveE and X1, as well as several Mini vehicles like the Cooper, Clubman and Countryman. BMW puts a sheep in wolf's clothing with 2 Series Active Tourer M Sport
Thu, 27 Mar 2014BMW is charting new territory with the 2 Series. No, not the two-door model - that's just the kind of rear-drive coupe for which the brand is known. But the Active Tourer (which only shares its series designation with the coupe) is a front-drive tall hatchback/MPV category buster, and that's not exactly what comes to mind when you think of Bimmers. As such, the 2 Series Active Tourer is bound to turn off some of the brand's faithful, but this latest M Sport kit could at least ease the pain somewhat.
The sport package for the Active Tourer packs all the usual suspects: a more aggressive aero kit, retuned suspension, blacked-out grille, 17- or 18-inch alloys and an interior with sports seats trimmed in blue-stitched Alcantara. Top all that off with an Estoril Blue paint job and you've got a compact family hauler that might look the part, and maybe handle a bit tighter, yet it naturally stops short of the full M treatment (or even an M Performance spec like you'd find in the M235i coupe). All of which is probably just as well, because that might be the only thing BMW purists would object to more than the existence of a front-drive BMW MPV in the first place.
Is BMW ready to increase i8 production?
Fri, Nov 21 2014The BMW i8 plug-in hybrid is really fast. But the car is getting to customers really slowly. The German automaker might be doing something about that. Bimmer executive Ian Robertson, speaking with reports at the Los Angeles Auto Show this week, commented on the high demand for the super-PHEV and said the company may step up production in Germany, Automotive News Europe says. That's because the wait list for the i8 is approaching 18 months in some global markets. And Robertson would like to get that timeframe down to about six months. No details were disclosed about how fast the i8 is being produced or how much faster that production rate may get. The i8, which retails for about $135,000, started sales in Europe in June and in the US two months later. As for the smaller, slower i3 electric vehicle, BMW is making about 2,000 units a month, and wait lists are down to about four months. Part of the reason for that is because BMW shifted distribution rates for that model towards the US to meet higher-than-expected demand from stateside consumers and slow German sales. Through the end of October in the US, BMW had sold almost 4,300 i3 vehicles and 271 i8 models, including 204 i8 units last month alone.
