2006 Bmw Z4 3.0 White/tan 18" Staggered Wheels Super Clean - $14950 Bin! on 2040-cars
Glen Allen, Virginia, United States
Super clean Z4 3.0 in Alpine White. Super clean! Silky Smooth and liquid fast motor. Recent mods all done in the last 30 days. Tires and wheels have only 800 miles on them. They totally changed the stance of the car. Night and Day difference:
1. The Z4 came with really ugly 17" wheels. I upgraded just last month with BMW OEM Style 189 wheels. They are staggered. 18x8 ET 34 front and 18x8.5 ET 37 rear. Stock diameter is the same, so does not effect speedometer. 2. New tires at the same time. They are Hankook Ventus S1 Noble 2 all season tires. Sizes are 225/40r18 front and 255/35r18 rear. 3. Just had the car professionally detailed at Concours Auto Detailing here in Richmond. Best detailers in the city! Their Signature Service details are below: Concours Signature DetailThe Concours Signature Detail includes all services included in the Exterior and Interior Details, but adds a more involved polish process for a deep cleaning of the paint to reduce fine haze and to increase gloss. Your car will be treated with the most modern and safe buffing techniques/products, and even as an "entry level" machine polish detail. The resulting finish will be better than what most car owners have ever experienced in an automotive detailing package.
Just check out the engine bay picture. This is a VERY clean and well cared for Z. Also the last two tanks yielded 30.3 mpg! Only negative is a small scratch on the rear fender well on the passenger side. It was professionally touched up and will not show up in pics. It's extremely minor, but I want to mention it anyway. The car has the auto top upgrade. I am the 2nd owner and paid $17,000 for the car 2 months ago. Between the tires, wheels, and detailing I have added another $2,000 in upgrades. Reason for selling is I purchased this car for my girlfriend and I to go on trips together. She won't ride in it. She is in love with our Victory Vision Motorcycle and insists on riding it instead. So I can't justify the car for just myself. Hence the sale. Just message me with any questions. It really is one BEAUTIFUL car! Perfect color too. Elegant white with a cool tan interior. Lastly, the car has zero mechanical issues and has a clean carfax report. NOTE: The car has the auto climate control and Power Seats. |

Motorweek remembers the Bimmers that made us all fall in love
Sat, Dec 27 2014The enthusiast's tied-in-knots relationship with BMW makes the Bavarians one of those brands especially ripe for nostalgic flights. That's why as soon as we saw the opening shot of Motorweek's review of the 1986 BMW 325e and a 635Csi, we let out a long sigh and thought, "Ahhhhh, I remember those days..." The two red barons were the new entries for the year, the 325e offering a couple of extra doors for the first time, the 635CSi rounding up the powerplant's displacement compared to the 633CSi that preceded it. The inline six-cylinder in the current 335i sedan gets on with 300 horsepower; 28 years ago, the 325e made do with a 2.7-liter inline six offering 121 hp, taking 9.3 seconds to get to 60 miles per hour from a standstill. That's four seconds more than today. Those willing to pay $41,000 for the 635CSi got a 3.4-liter inline six with 182 hp, and Motorweek praised it as a "confident handling car that does feel big and clumsy at times." The more things change, you know... Check out the video for a reminder of how BMW got to be what it is, and to hear the most unusual use of the word "oriental" we've heard in a while. BMW 2 Series gets 3-cylinder Mini engine
Fri, Dec 12 2014BMW just keeps lopping off cylinders from its engines and sliding the ever-more-diminutive mills into its models. This spring, Europeans will get some of the automaker's smallest yet thanks to a new entry-level 2 Series that will share a powerplant with the Mini Cooper. The Bavarian company will also introduce a few other tweaks to the compact coupe across the pond. The 218i is the new 2 Series base model, and it shares its 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder with the latest family of Minis. The engine makes the same 134 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque, but BMW does have some tiny changes for it. First, the orientation is swapped to fit lengthwise under the hood and drive the rear wheels. Just as importantly, buyers can order it with an eight-speed automatic, rather than the six-speed in the Minis. BMW claims that the little engine gives the 218i a 50:50 weight distribution, and it takes around 8.8 seconds to reach 62 miles per hour with the standard six-speed manual – tack on another tenth for the automatic. Either way, top speed is still a perfectly respectable 132 mph. Those acceleration numbers, incidentally, are over a second slower than what the latest Cooper is quoted at. Beyond this new base model, BMW will bring a few other additions to the 2 Series for Europe. The 220d oil burner will be available with xDrive all-wheel drive, and the company will introduce several new equipment bundles called Advantage, Luxury Line, Sport Line and M Sport. Each will bundle various options and trims together to appeal to buyers. No word yet on whether the 218i will eventually make it to North America, but we aren't holding our breath. Scroll down to read BMW's lengthy release about all of the changes set for the 2 Series. The BMW 2 Series Coupe: New entry-level engines, new model variants, even greater individuality. Premiere of the BMW 218i Coupe with 3-cylinder petrol engine from the new BMW Group engine portfolio and the BMW 220d xDrive Coupe – new and varied range of equipment features for model variants Advantage, Sport Line, Luxury Line and M Sport. Munich. From March 2015, new entry-level engines, a further four-wheel drive model and additional equipment options will increase the diversity of features available for the BMW 2 Series Coupe. With the market launch of the new BMW 218i Coupe, a three-cylinder petrol engine from the BMW Group's latest engine family will be featured for the first time in the brand's sporty and elegant compact model.
In-demand BMW i8 deliveries start in June, and it's more efficient than we thought
Thu, Mar 13 2014Memo to Elon Musk: objects in the rear-view mirror may be closer than they appear. In this case, it's a couple of plug-in BMWs. And they represent the closest thing to a true competitor for Musk and the Tesla Motors electric vehicles. The German automaker re-confirmed that demand for its upcoming i8 plug-in hybrid will exceed the initial supply batch, though BMW didn't release any specific numbers, Reuters says. BMW will start production next month with deliveries commencing in June for the 362-horsepower i8. The news is consistent with a November estimate from BMW that indicated that the first year of i8s were essentially spoken for in advance. We learned in late January that the number of i3 battery-electric vehicles imported to the US won't meet demand during that vehicle's first year of sales either. Here's the thing: all these people were interested in the i8 when BMW said the car got the equivalent of 94 miles per gallon. Turns out, those calculations were a bit off. Reuters also notes that the new numbers show the i8 gets 112 MPGe. That's on the lenient European cycle, but if anyone was holding out for an i8 with triple-figure fuel economy, your time (to get on the waiting list) has come.Motley Fool proposed late last month that BMW is positioned to be Tesla's only real competition when it comes to high-performance plug-in vehicles. The reasoning was that the BMW plug-ins, like the Teslas, are being built from scratch and don't just have EV powertrains dropped into existing vehicle platforms. Whether or not the competition is truly a two-team race is something we're not sure is completely decided yet, but we know it'll be fun to watch unfold either way. Want proof? Check out Autoblog's enjoyable First Drive of the i8 here.
