BMW Z4 2005 5 SPEED MANUAL; RWD. I bought this car 1 years ago and I've enjoyed it very much. I've given it complete maintenance; changed oil every 5000 miles with full synthetic oil. It has 4 new tires; new brakes; new battery; new suspension; radio with Bluetooth; iPod interphase connection. I have 1 key and it's ready for a new owner. I need to sell one of my cars at this time. I bought this car with a salvage Texas title as a project. This car runs very well but it needs to replace the hood, both front fenders and bumper to look like new. I bought a BMW mask for it to cover the accident. This car has all its required stickers to circulate. The idea was to fix it little by little, but I don't have any more time and for this reason I need to sell it with the above described conditions at a lower price.
It has 3 lights on which indicate that the rear wheel bearings must be replaced. I ordered the parts and they will come next week. I can give you the parts, but you must install it yourself. The airbag light is on, but I replaced every item involved with this part; it only needs to be reset to turn off the light. Everything else is working very well: engine, transmission, and all its functions.

BMW X4 M probably not in the cards
Thu, 26 Sep 2013BMW is preparing to exploit its latest market niche - those that find themselves unable to choose between the 3 Series, 4 Series and X3 - with the X4. If you're looking for an M product, though, you'll remain limited to the 3 and 4 Series. BMW's Bernhard Ederer, at the Australian launch of the X5, told Car Advice he wouldn't "bet on it," when asked about a hotter X4.
Oddly, Ederer's reasoning, according to the Aussies, is out of concern for the X6 M, whose sales the X4 M would apparently cannibalize. That's like saying the M3 doesn't make sense because it will cannibalize M5 sales - the logic just doesn't really hold up. "The question is what customers are we talking to? And are we talking to someone that is willing and able to afford [an X6 M]?" Ederer told Car Advice.
Car Advice seems to feel the same way, claiming the X3-based X4 will share its powertrains with its donor platform, and will eventually spawn an M variant, albeit a few years down the line.
Next BMW X1 moving to smaller, lighter FWD-biased platform
Thu, 20 Feb 2014BMW's decision to make the upcoming 2-Series Active Tourer front-wheel drive has been polarizing to say the least, but like it or not, that is the direction the company will go in the near future - one rumor put the number as high as 23 front-wheel-drive models for Mini and BMW combined. The next-generation X1 won't send all its power to the front wheels, though, when it launches in early 2016. While it will use the same platform as the Active Tourer, rumors suggest all models will use all-wheel drive - at least at launch.
A "high-ranking," unnamed BMW manager confirmed to AutoWeek that the new model will switch to transversely-mounted three- and four-cylinder engines and the same six-speed manual and eight-speed automatic transmissions as the Active Tourer. The new, smaller platform will allow for more efficient packaging, and despite the smaller size, interior space will remain comparable. All the changes should make it significantly lighter too.
Don't start wailing just yet because BMW surely won't be entirely abandoning sporty models. AutoWeek claims that the Bavarians are working on a higher-output version of the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with power closer to 300 horsepower, about a 72-hp boost. It's also rumored to offer a sporty version of the X1 that may be called the X2.
Mercedes fights off late BMW surge to claim 2013 luxury sales crown
Sat, 04 Jan 2014The king is dead - long live the king. Mercedes-Benz is now your new US sales champion in the fiercely competitive luxury market, deposing the champ BMW, which has enjoyed annual supremacy for the past two years.
Thanks in no small part to the dynamite launch of the new, affordable CLA-Class, not to mention a redesigned E-Class and hot-selling S-Class, Mercedes moved 33,007 units in December alone, while sales in 2013 were up 14 percent, to 312,534. BMW, meanwhile, managed to sell 309,280 units in 2013. It was far from a sure thing for the Stuttgart-based brand, though, as BMW managed to nearly halve its rival's sales lead heading into the last month of 2013.
"We saw record sales, flexed our muscles across the entire product line from top to bottom and brought the customer experience to an all-time high," said Steve Cannon, Mercedes USA's CEO. While we don't have individual figures, it seems at first blush that the CLA was really the car that pushed Mercedes over the top.
