2004 Bmw Z4 3.0i Sport Pkg, Premium Trim & Sound Pkg, Tx Vehicle, <79k Clean!!! on 2040-cars

Year:2004 Mileage:78 Color:

Madison, Wisconsin, United States

I searched long and hard for a used Z4 that had both mechanical stability, as well as cosmetic well being (let's face it, she has to be pretty). This is the result of literally 4 months of finding the "right" fit for a car I had lusted for since it's release in '03.

Texas Driven vehicle from 2004-2013, she moved to WI in November of 2013, stored in winter never seen WI snow or salt and barely any rain.

BEAUTIFUL BODY, PAINT HAS ALL OF ITS ORIGINAL LUSTER, ZERO DULL SPOTS 9/10

Interior is gorgeous, some aging can be seen via the color of a few the plastic pieces (only the door handles, but it is an '04 after all). In all I would give the interior a 8.5/10.

The only reason I'm selling it is because with two young kids, my wife and I were not getting away enough to justify keeping it.

Options on the BMW Z4 Include:

- Convenience Package (Auto Dimming Interior & Exterior Mirrors, Storage Package, Automatic Climate Control)

- Premium Package (Fully Automatic Power Soft-Top, Power Seats w/ Driver Memory)

- Sports Package (18" Alloy Wheels, Sport Suspension, Sport Button for optional handling experience)

- Heated Front Seats

- Rain Sensor for Windshield Wipers

- Xenon Headlights with Automatic Leveling

- Power Windows, Power Locks, Heated Dual-Power Mirrors, Heated Washer Jets, Cruise Control

- Premium Sound System with DSP (has an internal CD player) with 10 Speakers.

The vehicle is up to date with its maintenance with BMW. It's been quite trouble-free over the years.

ADDITIONAL INFO.

I had a BMW dealer do a pre-purchase inspection in November
-new plugs and coils
-completely new fluids (coolant, transmission, oil, wiper, blinker ;)
-new windshield (had a crack from a rock, nothing more)
-fresh alignment
-new performance tires with <2k miles. (Sumitomo HTR Z III, all the guys (most) on the bimmer forums love these and claim about 20k life if driven hard, 25-27k if just cruising)
-new thermostat

Please take a look at the photographs. The car is in fabulous shape! It has not seen Wisconsin winters (was kept covered in a garage). You can't possibly find anything this nice & this well equipped within this price range. Even though it's a 2004 model, it has the mileage and wear & tear of a vehicle that's only 5 years old.

BMW i8 pitted against M4 in sibling rivalry track battle

Wed, Jan 7 2015

We recently watched Auto Bild challenge the BMW i8 against the M4 in a German drag race of decide the quicker of the inter-brand rivals. The hybrid took a commanding victory in that fight. However, Autocar now has a new battle for the two coupes. The siblings are together again on the Castle Combe Circuit to find out which of them offers the more enjoyable experience at the track. Unfortunately, we don't ever get a perfect point of comparison in the video because host Steve Sutcliffe never does a full lap in anger with either of them to set a time. Instead, he focuses more on how the BMWs feel behind the wheel. Sutcliffe also admits midway through the clip that the i8's electric motor is out of juice to power the front axle's electric motor. That only leaves the hybrid with its 228-horsepower and 236-pound-feet-of-torque turbocharged three-cylinder to spin the rear wheels. Still, Sutcliffe spends ample time explaining the benefits and downfalls of driving these coupes. See where his opinion falls between the M4 as the traditional German sports coupe and the i8 as the new-school hybrid in the video, above.

Next BMW X1 caught on flatbed

Tue, 17 Sep 2013

The X1 had been around for four years before it was added to BMW's US lineup, so it isn't all that surprising that a new version of the company's smallest Sport Activity Vehicle is already in the works. Captured in transit on the back of a flatbed truck, these spy shots give us our first look at the next-gen X1 - codenamed F48 - which is expected to debut around 2015.
While the camouflage does a good job of obscuring most of the styling elements, we definitely see evidence of the X1's new platform. Elements like the loss of the long nose and a noticeably shrunken dash-axle gap (just compare this spy shot picture to this one from our X1 review), are good indicators that the next X1 will move to the new front-wheel-drive platform BMW is using for the new Mini and 1 Series GT. Aside from this, the overall shape is very similar to the current design, but we're sure it will pull many cues from the updated range of BMW products.

BMW ups i3 production to 100 units a day to meet demand

Wed, Apr 23 2014

To reverse the old Field of Dreams quote, they are coming, so BMW is building them. All indications are that US demand for the BMW i3 plug-in will be larger than initially expected. As a result, the automaker is upping production at its German factor by more than 50 percent in advance of stateside sales, Automotive News says, citing BMW boardmember Harald Krueger. BMW has started making about 100 i3s a day, up from its previous daily rate of about 70 units. So far, BMW, which is expected to begin sales of the i3 in the US later this month, has made about 5,000 i3s. BMW spokesman Dave Buchko confirmed in an e-mail to AutoblogGreen that the company was boosting production of the i3 based not only on US demand but on worldwide demand, but he declined to be specific about BMW's new production rate. BMW started selling the i3 in Europe in November and had racked up a six-month waiting list by early February. Last month, Norbert Reithofer, chairman of the board of management for BMW, estimated that the company would be making a cool 100,000 i3s a year by the end of the decade, and that the global automotive market would support that production level. Check out our First Drive of the i3 here.
