Hello and up for auction is a beautiful Atlanta Blue Z3 with only one owner and some really nice extras.  The Z3 only has 76k miles and has only had one female owner that was a real BMW enthusiast.  The car is all original Paint with no accidents and shows like a new car.  I added a dark Navy Blue Genuine BMW Canvas top just a few days ago and it looks stunning.  This Color combination was not available from BMW and the only Z3 that was available with the Dark Blue top was the M Roadster.  In other words you will never see another Atlanta Blue Z3 with a Blue top period.  The car is more than just looks as I have had the car inspected and all recommended repairs completed with receipts from the BMW dealership on hand for the next owners records.  The Z3 was always a California Car until last month when I drove it cross country to Louisiana with no issues at all.  Below I will go over the included Z3 Options, Extras, and the Maintenance I just completed last week at the BMW dealership.

Options:  This Z3 is fully loaded with the 2.8L(200HP), Real Leather, Power Seats, Power Top, Power Windows, Heated Seats, Cruise Control, On Board Computer(tells ext temp, mpg, miles till empty etc.) and all the other standard options like Traction Control, Airbags etc...

Extras: Include some really nice tasteful upgrades including an AC Schnitzer Exhaust from Germany which is the tuner of choice from BMW. The Roadster also has the AC Schnitzer Short Shift Kit to shorten the notoriously long throw on the Z3 shifter. Lastly but not least is a $3500 Custom Sound system that rocks!  The factory stereo leaves alot to be desired but this new system is very nice with custom built box in the trunk taht houses 2 8" subs with a Phoenix Gold AMP that is masterfully carpeted and flushed into the trunk seamlessly. All the factory speakers were changed over to High end Diamond Acoustics that sound wonderful.  The sound system is not for the faint of heart and rocks!  This is a very unique Z3 in many ways with the Blue top and Extras that make the car much more enjoyable.  The exhaust is very mellow and what you would expect a BMW sports car to sound like, Tuned and Mean...  Please read my feedback from other BMW buyer as it is stellar.  I reserve the right to end auction for local sale at anytime and if you do not want to miss out on this one of a kind Z3 then email me your contact info and lets reach a deal.

P.S. I also have a 2000 model Grey Metallic Z3 with Black Top and Interior with only 80k miles for sale as well.  If you are interested in either my cell is 415-716-9497 and my name is Parker.  Both cars are perfect and will need nothing upon purchase Guaranteed!  The last 3 pictures are of the Grey Z3 and I can email more photos upon request...

BMW pondering hardcore M4 to celebrate 100 years?

Thu, 03 Oct 2013

2013 is the year for Lamborghini, Aston Martin and the Porsche 911, but 2016 will be the year for BMW. That's when the Munich-based maker of the Ultimate Driving Machine will celebrate its 100th birthday, with what will probably be a year-long celebration. Part of that 365-day party will, reportedly, be an even hotter version of the new BMW M4, which is set to debut in January at the Detroit Auto Show.
Yes, according to Australia's Car Sales, the über-M4 has been hinted at by higher-ups at BMW's M division, who claim the rear seats will be removed, much like the M3 GTS, while other weight-saving measures will be used to try and bring the M4's weight below 3,000 pounds. There's no mention of engine mods, but if the M4's biturbocharged six is as good as we think it'll be, that's not a deal-breaker for us.
The lightening process on the so-called M4 GTS would involve replacing the hood and front fenders with parts made of carbon fiber, while the doors would switch from steel to aluminum. Besides the deletion of the rear seats, Car Sales is predicting lightweight racing buckets, with a carbon-fiber shell and a minimal amount of padding. Expect lots and lots of Alcantara, in place of leather.

BMW i8 Spyder gets production nod

Wed, 18 Dec 2013

BMW could be poised to expand its i8 range, beyond the hardtop version of the plug-in hybrid supercar. A report from Bimmerpost is claiming that the i8 Spyder, which we showed you in concept form at the 2012 Beijing Motor Show, will be heading to production.
The website claims the open-roof fuel-sipper was shown to BMW management last Friday as a production-intent model. Other than that, there's not a lot to tell here. The i8 Spyder should feature all the same mechanical and aesthetic features found on the i8 Coupe, just without the confining nature of a roof. It's unclear when we'll see a production i8 droptop make its debut, although this certainly strikes us as the kind of car that should arrive at the Geneva Motor Show.
While an i8 Spyder does seem like a logical leap for BMW's i sub-brand, we're going to keep this one filed under the rumors category until we hear more.

The next-generation wearable will be your car

Fri, Jan 8 2016

This year's CES has had a heavy emphasis on the class of device known as the "wearable" – think about the Apple Watch, or Fitbit, if that's helpful. These devices usually piggyback off of a smartphone's hardware or some other data connection and utilize various onboard sensors and feedback devices to interact with the wearer. In the case of the Fitbit, it's health tracking through sensors that monitor your pulse and movement; for the Apple Watch and similar devices, it's all that and some more. Manufacturers seem to be developing a consensus that vehicles should be taking on some of a wearable's functionality. As evidenced by Volvo's newly announced tie-up with the Microsoft Band 2 fitness tracking wearable, car manufacturers are starting to explore how wearable devices will help drivers. The On Call app brings voice commands, spoken into the Band 2, into the mix. It'll allow you to pass an address from your smartphone's agenda right to your Volvo's nav system, or to preheat your car. Eventually, Volvo would like your car to learn things about your routines, and communicate back to you – or even, improvise to help you wake up earlier to avoid that traffic that might make you late. Do you need to buy a device, like the $249 Band 2, and always wear it to have these sorts of interactions with your car? Despite the emphasis on wearables, CES 2016 has also given us a glimmer of a vehicle future that cuts out the wearable middleman entirely. Take Audi's new Fit Driver project. The goal is to reduce driver stress levels, prevent driver fatigue, and provide a relaxing interior environment by adjusting cabin elements like seat massage, climate control, and even the interior lighting. While it focuses on a wearable device to monitor heart rate and skin temperature, the Audi itself will use on-board sensors to examine driving style and breathing rate as well as external conditions – the weather, traffic, that sort of thing. Could the seats measure skin temperature? Could the seatbelt measure heart rate? Seems like Audi might not need the wearable at all – the car's already doing most of the work. Whether there's a device on a driver's wrist or not, manufacturers seem to be developing a consensus that vehicles should be taking on some of a wearable's functionality.
