2012 Bmw X5 Xdrive35i Sport Activity M Sport Heads Up Display Soft Close Loaded on 2040-cars
Katy, Texas, United States
This is a 2012 BMW X5 xDrive35i Sport Activity. It’s loaded
with options and features with original MSRP of $67,475. The car has been
maintained on the regular bases at my local BMW dealership, and its problem free.
The mileage is currently 48,000 and climbing since the car is being driven
daily. The original in-service date is 12/13/2011. The Manufacturer options are (See pictures for details of
items in each package): ·
Convenience Package ·
M Sport Package ·
Technology Package ·
Soft Close Automatic Doors ·
Satellite Radio ·
BMW Apps The items I am including in the sale: ·
iPhone 4 / 4S Cradle ·
Air Pump ·
Genuine BMW Bike Rack (Retails for $673) you can
see it on BMW Website HERE The car comes with almost new tires with about 4,000 miles
on them. I switched from Run-Flat tires to regular Michelin tires due to
excessive road noise Run-Flats make. So
please note, if you get a flat, it has to be towed, since there is no spare
tires. However, I am including an Air Pump in this sale. The car is clean with no mechanical issues, and it is still under full manufacturer warranty and free maintenance until 12/13/2015 or 50,000 miles. The flaws on the car include 2 starts on the windshield (I have a transferrable Windshield insurance policy good for 3 years from now), and curb rashes on the wheels which are only cosmetic and are not effecting the alignment of the car as the car drives straight and does not pull to right or left. There are some minor rock chips and nicks here and there normal with the age of the car and everyday driving on the highway but nothing major. The car has been maintained regularly at my local BMW dealer. The next maintenance is due 10,000 miles from now. Overall this is a beautiful car and we always get complements for
it. ***IMPORTANT

Bangle urges auto design shakeup, says industry not innovating
Fri, 30 Aug 2013Controversial designer Chris Bangle, the man behind the notorious E65 BMW 7-Series "Bangle Butt," has some rather sharp criticism for the current crop of automotive designers in an upcoming full-length interview with Automotive News Europe. The preview, posted on Automotive News, details parts of the interview, with the always vocal Bangle lamenting the state of modern automotive design.
"Even concept cars today simply anticipate the next production model coming down the line. Is this innovation? No. And at the end of the day this is what's preventing car design from moving into a new era." Controversial as Bangle's design philosophy may be, we can't help but think he has a point. His so-called "flame surfacing" at BMW and other stylistic elements had a huge influence on modern automotive design, although as the years have passed, there hasn't been much innovation on the same scale.
Interestingly, Bangle also mentions that he's been courted by a few manufacturers that wanted to install the American as the head of their design teams. He's flatly rejected them, telling ANE, "It's not something you can do part time, you have to do it with all your heart and soul or you're going to get it wrong."
2014 BMW Z4 sDrive35is
Tue, 14 May 2013The BMW Z3/Z4 roadster has never really had a widespread following because it has either been too humble and small a roadster (albeit with some fun and very low-volume M editions) or it has been - in this E89 generation - too casual an image leader with no racier aspirations. The current 480-hp Z4 GTEs don't count, since they are as stock a Z4 as today's Pamela Anderson is the same blonde actress we knew as Heidi on Home Improvement. You know, sort of like those ever-so-slightly modified Toyota Camry coupes competing in NASCAR.
The ultimate highpoint for the BMW Z roadster franchise was at the very start of its life in the mid-90s, in the James Bond film GoldenEye with Pierce Brosnan. The Stinger missiles that Q's team installed behind the Z3's headlights were never fired, and BMW never even offered this self-defense package as an option. Yet another case of the ol' bait and switch.
And in all these subsequent years of Z3s and Z4s strutting their long-hooded stuff, the little sporting Bimmer could really have used a live Stinger missile or two to spice things up. The current Z4 exists, it is pretty dang sexy, and BMW seems content to let it linger there. We just drove the new midlife version of the roadster near BMW headquarters in Munich, and it served to reinforce our feelings.
The troubled Alfa Romeo Giulia needs serious help [UPDATE]
Wed, Feb 10 2016UPDATE: An Alfa Romeo US spokesman responded to this article with the following statement: The safety concerns expressed in the story are false. The all-new 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia is designed and engineered to meet or exceed all federal safety regulations. The Alfa Romeo Giulia will begin production for the North American market in the late second-quarter of this year. Alfa Romeo will have a full product portfolio of premium vehicles that includes plans for (8) all-new Alfa Romeo vehicles by 2020. The product launches are prioritized by segment volumes starting this year with the Alfa Romeo Giulia production for North America starting in late Q2, followed by the Midsize-UV – the 2nd largest premium segment in North America. Even on the day you dragged them kicking and screaming and gesticulating wildly to a table full of concrete evidence, Alfa Romeo executives will never admit the Giulia program is going through a tough patch. But it is. Reports say the Giulia, on the eve of production, didn't just fail one internal crash test, but failed the front, side and rear impact tests. Alfa denies it. Automotive News published a report last week saying two suppliers had insisted the Giulia, on the eve of production, didn't just fail one internal crash test, but failed the front-, side-, and rear-impact tests. A third supplier source told us the same thing. Alfa is denying it. It was due on sale in Europe late last year and was supposed to be here in the next month or two. But it wasn't, and it won't. It was to be headlined by a twin-turbo V6 that reportedly howled its way around the Nurburgring 14 seconds faster than the BMW M3 could manage. That second part is only true if you believe it's fair to compare a full lap in a standard BMW M3 with a favorable accumulation of sector times to a development prototype Giulia with 220 pounds stripped out of it and rolling on hand-cut racing slicks. No, me neither. A Promising Start The Giulia's all-new architecture was developed in just two years by a skunkworks of young engineers headed by Fiat's engineering prince, Philippe Krief, and (bafflingly) sited inside Maserati's headquarters complex in Modena, about three hours from Alfa Romeo's own Turin HQ.
