Sale the RARE 2009 BMW X5 M sport 4.8i with AWD. This car is option out like a 7 series down to the 20 way multi-contour seats, navigation system, park distance control, back up camera, active suspension/active steer, M Sport 20" wheels, painted bumpers, 3rd row seating, rear privacy shades, panoramic sunroof, satin roof rails and includes a couple extra goodies that I've added to make the car really stand out. I've added the 2011+ tail lights, tinted windows and Schiedmann quad exhaust tips directly from Germany. They really set the M Sport OEM aero rear bumper apart from other BMW X5s. This car has NO DINGS but does have a two 2" scratches on the passenger door. I'm the second owner of the car and I purchased the BMW extended warranty and extended maintenance plans so all maintenance is up to date and done BY THE DEALER! I've had the rear brakes replaced back in May and a new battery in February. The maintenance records can be pulled at any BMW dealership by using the key fob. This auction does not include the extended warranty/extended maintenance plans. The car has less than 53,000 miles. Title is held by Pentagon Federal Credit union so purchase transaction must take place via Pentagon federal and myself. Shipping at buyers expense.

Cadillac ATS-V and Mercedes-AMG C63 S pitted Head to Head

Our favorite (and only) Autoblog-alum-turned-Motor Trend staffer is back with another Head to Head video, this time pitting the Cadillac ATS-V with the Mercedes-AMG C63 S. This performance machine shootout is ostensibly a way to figure out which of these new super sedans will earn the right to go toe-to-toe with the undisputed champion of its segment, the BMW M3. In reality, it's just a really good excuse to put three of the hottest sedans on the market on video at the same time... and there's certainly nothing wrong with that. Jonny Lieberman spends time in each of the two new challengers on the road, picking apart their powertrains, chassis and driving dynamics on the kinds of twisty roads drivers of these cars will relish. Then, he hands the keys off to Randy Pobst, who sort of acts as an unmasked version of a certain tame racing driver, except that he talks and has a personality. 0-60 and quarter-mile times are equated, braking performance is measured and scores are tallied before the two sport sedans end up at Willow Springs raceway. Interestingly enough, the car that proves (just slightly) faster at the race track isn't the car that wins the comparison. Curious? We're not going to spoil it for you. Check out the video, above. BMW planning Chinese recall for engine part issue [w/video]

After receiving an unspecified number of complaints in China, BMW has reportedly started a "full investigation" into what may be a defective part in its VANOS engine control system. BMW said via a Chinese blog that it would file a recall application with the the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine in China.
BMW has not yet announced how many vehicles will be recalled, or which models the potential recall might cover. We're also curious as to whether the VANOS issue could extend into markets outside of China.

Drifting can be dangerous for spectators, too

Okay kids, here's your lesson for the day. When you go to a motorsports event (that isn't a rally), there are these things called walls. They're big and hard. There might be stacks of tires in front of them. There are also these things called barriers, catch fences and run-off areas. They exist to protect you, the spectator, when something inevitably goes wrong on the track.
If you don't have these things, you probably shouldn't be watching whatever four-wheeled mayhem is taking place. This gentleman learned that the hard way, after getting a bit too close while some hoon drifts his BMW 3 Series.
