Here it is plain and simple:  I purchased this car on 10/15/2012 as a personal indulgence and have spent alot of time effort, energy, and money optioning and customizing the car.  I am moving out to the country and won't really have as much use for this amazing machine!  I would simply rather sell the car while the value is still very high and recoop my money for other investments as well as pass along a truly amazing vehicle to someone who will be able to enjoy it more than I have.  I work so much I very rarely have had an occasion to actually drive this car.., I haven't even driven this car 2,000 miles since I've owned it!!

Let me also say that I am in no rush to sell the car so please no e-mail offers or low-balls.  If it sells great, if not then I am more than happy to keep it and attempt to bring it out to the country with me lol.

When I purchased the car it was a stock 2008 BMW M6 and since then here is a list of the additional upgrades to the car., and keep in mind., all of this work has been performed only over the last 5 months so everything on the car is extremely new.

All of the work has been performed by the highest-end shop in Dallas., Stuart's Paint & Body

1).  Wheels have been completely re-machined to look brand brand new!

2).  BORLA M6 Catback System with X Pipe.  Which is just the perfect exhaust., I looked at all of the others before settling on Borla., ie, Tubi, Eisenmann, Meisterschaft etc., and to me the Borla is the perfect combo of all tones., it sounds Ballsy and BADASS!!

3).  VORSTEINER Carbon Fiber Vented Racing Hood.  (which is a matched space grey metallic on the surface side of the hood and on the underside is a flat space grey metallic!!

4).  VORSTEINER Carbon Fiber Rear Deck Lid Spoiler., as well as VORSTEINER badging

5).  Custom CARBON FIBER and ALCANTARA STEERING WHEEL from DCTMS motorsports

what I feel is the most awesome upgrade though:

6).  Custom LED HALO's and M-Stripe Painted Shrouds.  Gloss Black Shrouds and Flat Black Housing.  It has been confirmed that this is currently the only M6 on the planet with this light setup:)  These lights cost me 1800 alone.  If you are an M6 guy already then you know what I'm talking about when normally the way the lights are refracted in the housing, both halo's never quite light up equally.  Well the only way to solve that problem and to get the extremely bright led halo's we all know and love is to have the orb rings completely removed and replaced

7).  Matte Black Kidney Grilles (I am also including the original grilles which are also M striped)

8).  Blacking out of all the lights., and this isn't the cheap shitty tint., this is the professionally sprayed interior tint that has the ability to be reversed back to OEM red if you so chose.

9).  LED License Plate Assembly's

Other than all of those goodies, the biggest selling point is that the car is STILL UNDER FULLY TRANSFERABLE CPO warranty and maintenance program til 3/4/14 or 100,000 miles.

The Car Should Speak For Itself.

Payment will be a $500.00 deposit via PayPal after auction close and then a direct wire-to-wire bank transfer within 3 days of the auction end.

Thanks and Good Luck and Happy Bidding., whoever wins this car will be very very happy!

BMW i3 with range extender won't get all the EV tax benefits in NJ

Wed, Jun 4 2014

Everyone loves that new-car smell, but not everyone loves that new-car tax. And whoever in New Jersey thought the extended-range version of the BMW i3 plug-in would be exempt from said tax was sorely mistaken, Green Car Reports says. To paraphrase the Garden State's favorite son, Bruce Springsteen, the first kick those drivers will take is when they hit the ground. BMW said last year that the BMW REx would qualify for new-car tax exemptions in New Jersey and in Washington State. The car's all-electric range was recently estimated at 72 miles and it has another 87 miles of gas-powered range-extended capability. Unfortunately, the range extender not only tacks on $3,850 to the car's sticker price but adds on almost that much again because New Jersey's seven-percent sales tax applies to all cars with any sort of gas-powered engine. BMW didn't respond to a request for comment about the New Jersey situation from AutoblogGreen. In other New Jersey electric vehicle news, the Consumer Affairs Committee of the New Jersey State Assembly will discuss the legality of Tesla selling directly to consumbers tomorrow. The extended-range i3 is involved in a different issue on the other side of the country. BMW said earlier this year that the REx would qualify for California's white zero-emission vehicle stickers that allow for solo access to high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes. These unlimited white stickers can go on any EV, but the REx version only qualifies for the green stickers, which are designated for plug-in hybrids and extended-range plug-ins and the state has run out of those.

BMW recalling a grand total of three X3s over instrument panel defect

Wed, 18 Dec 2013

We've seen big recalls and we've seen small ones. Some involve millions of vehicles, and some - like the Infiniti Q50 recall on which we reported just the other day - involve just a couple dozen. But this has to be the smallest recall we've seen yet.
"Due to a production process error" in the BMW X3, states the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in the notice below, "the team seam on the instrument panel was not manufactured correctly." Big friggin' whoop, you say? Well, NHTSA points out that it could hinder the deployment of the airbag and send fractures flying everywhere.
The problem was discovered in a select few examples of the 2013 BMW X3 - both xDrive 28i and 35i models - manufactured in the later part of February this year. And by "select few," we literally mean a few - as in three. Three examples are being recalled. If you happen to be one of those three owners, expect to hear from your local dealership.

10 automakers shack up in Detroit hotel to talk Takata airbags

Sun, Dec 14 2014

Since Takata has decided not to take the lead concerning potential issues with its airbag inflators, the automakers have. Perhaps that's unsurprising, since it's the automakers, not Takata, that will take a beating on the dealership floor if consumers decide its models are a health hazards. The Detroit News reports that Toyota, Honda, General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Mazda, BMW, Nissan, Mitsubishi and Subaru met in a hotel conference room near the Detroit Metropolitan Airport last week to sort out a way to understand the technical issues involved. So far, faulty airbag inflators have been ruled the cause of five deaths and 50 injuries around the world, but neither Takata nor investigators understands exactly why the inflators are malfunctioning. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration recently asked Takata to issue a national recall, Takata declined, citing a minuscule failure rate and the fact that it's still investigating the issue. Toyota and Honda then made an industry-wide appeal for "a coordinated, comprehensive testing program" that would pinpoint the problem inflators and get them replaced, and that's what the Detroit meeting was about. Numerous issues, however, will make this a long row to hoe: simply getting the parts to replace the nearly 20 million inflators in cars recalled around the world so far - even working with other suppliers - will take a years, but more importantly, no one knows if the replacement inflators currently being installed will suffer the same issue. Answers will hopefully come quickly with Takata, the ten automakers and NHTSA all independently investigating the problem.
