2007 Bmw M6 Convertible Low Mileage, Loaded & Clean on 2040-cars
Miami Beach, Florida, United States
This car looks and drives like new. The exterior is near perfect, the black paint is like a mirror! The interior is super clean. And the car drives like a rocket ship. The car has been babied, garage kept, washed weekly, etc. With the top up, it's a sleek and refined racecar. With the top down, its wind in your hair, sun on your face, exhaust note in your ears perfection! I am including the optional windscreen, which greatly reduces the amount of air coming into the cabin with the top down. This car gets looks from everyone - men and women alike. It's a real head turner! For a 2007 the car is stocked with all of the creature comforts: Nav, Bluetooth, Satellite Radio, parking sensors, etc.
If you are unfamiliar with the M6 - BMW really outdid themselves. They paired a 500 HP V10 which redlines at 8600 rpm with a 7 speed sequential manual gearbox. The engineering is really a thing of beauty! You couldn't ask for more fun on the road than in this monster. Serviced at Lauderdale BMW on 5/29/14 - I replaced the alternator and had a full inspection done, which showed zero issues. She is running like new! The car was in a minor rear-end collision in July 2013 - there was no frame damage and the rear assembly was replaced perfectly, as you can see. Minor wear and tear - tiny paint chips, leather and trim wear. All normal for the age of the car. Please contact me with any questions or concerns. Happy Bidding! |

2014 BMW 4 Series
Tue, 23 Jul 2013Because Four Is Greater Than Three
Say what you will about the name 4 Series, there is a method to BMW's madness. On one hand, it's easy enough to just buy into the logic that odd numbers are reserved for sedans and wagons, and that even numbers are reserved for coupes and convertibles. On the other hand, consider the idea that the higher numbers are used to separate the more dynamic, more engaging vehicles that use the same platform. It's that sort of separation that differentiates the 6 Series so nicely from its 5 Series roots, after all. And if we're being cynical, it also allows BMW to charge a bit more money for its lower-volume offerings.
So with the new two-door version of the 3 Series, BMW has gone the route of strengthening the dynamic virtues of its F30 chassis to create a car that's more removed from its sedan kin than one might think. And after spending some time with the new 4 Series on the roads around Lisbon, Portugal, as well as the famous Circuito do Estoril racetrack, it's increasingly clear that calling this car a 3 Series Coupe simply wouldn't be fair.
First BMW i8 in US sells for $825,000
Mon, Aug 18 2014Here are some numbers. The standard BMW i8 starts at starts at $135,700. The first i8 in the US was auctioned off at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance this past weekend and the auctioneers, Gooding & Company, said before the gavel was lifted the fist time that they expected the i8 with unique Frozen Grey Metallic and other upgrades to raise between $150,000 and $200,000 for the Pebble Beach Company Foundation. Turns out, the car eventually sold for $825,000 to an unnamed buyer. Along with the honor of having the first i8 on these shores, the special plug-in hybrid comes with Dalbergia Brown leather upholstery, a set of Louis Vuitton luggage and something called a "professional edition" charging station along with laser headlights (subject to regulator approval). A number of other i8s were delivered to a few wealthy car shoppers who managed to make their way to Pebble Beach over the weekend, including automotive guru Roger Penske and Nest CEO Tony Fadell. The special edition was presented at the auction by Jay Leno and BMW North America president and CEO, Ludwig Willisch. You can't put a price on that. Just kidding. You can, and it's apparently $825,000.
BMW to follow Honda back into F1?
Mon, 14 Apr 2014The economic downturn wrought devastating effects on motor racing. Formula One alone lost half its engine suppliers when Honda left at the end of the 2008 season, and both BMW and Toyota followed at the end of 2009. But things are looking up again. Cosworth may have dropped out this season, reducing the engine suppliers to three: Ferrari, Renault and Mercedes, the latter of which admits that it may have left had the engine formula not changed. But Mercedes has stayed and is dominating the championship. Honda is coming back next season. And word around the paddock is it may not be the only one.
According to Giancarlo Minardi - founder of the team now known as Scuderia Toro Rosso - BMW engineers have been conspicuously spotted lately at F1 test sessions and grands prix, lending to speculation that the new engine regulations may entice the Bavarian automaker back into the series. According to Minardi, BMW's marketing division is pushing for the automaker's return to F1, with the board slated to make a decision in May. BMW would be more likely to consider an engine-supply deal rather than taking a team over like it had with Sauber, but with which team or teams it might collaborate remains a big question mark at this point.
As if that's not enough, Ford is said to be considering taking over Cosworth's aborted V6 turbo engine program to take both outfits back into the sport as well. Cosworth supplied F1 engines under the Ford banner for years, but returned under its own name for four seasons from 2010 through 2013 before shuttering its program to develop an engine to meet the new regulations adopted this season.
