1988 Bmw M6 Extremely Clean on 2040-cars
Beverly Hills, California, United States
This is one of those times where I have to decide if I am going to keep this car or sell it and sad to say I have to sell it. I just don't have the room. My family and I own Alzheimer's nursing facilities in Las Vegas, NV and one of our residents that has lived with us for many years owned this car since new. Since the man's health has deteriorated and no longer able to drive his estate donated this vehicle to our facility. This BMW M6 is in amazing condition with only 106k 1 owner original miles it's one of the cleanest I have seen. It's all original it even has the original spare tire from new. Everything on this car is original except a new faceplate stereo system that has Bluetooth and plays mp3's but it also comes with all the original equipment that came with car like the original stereo if needed I can have the original stereo put back in. also included is CD Changer , Cell Phone, Manuals, Tool Kit, it even comes with something I have never seen before a lockbox made out of metal like a small safe made to look like an armrest wrapped with same leather as interior and my guess it is a gun or money safe for while on the move I do know owner was a jeweler. You can see it in the photo next to CD changer it looks almost stock. This car has always been garaged and maintained meticulously it runs perfect without fault. I drove this car from Vegas to LA last week and it was amazing that a car this age could perform the way this car did. In my opinion this model BMW is one of the best looking cars in the world and one day will be recognized for its stunning lines. If you have been looking for a nice M6 this may be the one you have been looking for. Not to mention it is probably one of the best color combinations you can get. Jet black over very light grey. This car has never had any kind of bodywork done. It has all original paint and is extremely straight. When this car sells a portion of the proceeds with be donated to the Alzheimer's association of America as well as back to the family that donated the car. The car is located in Beverly Hills, CA and I recommend that anyone that wants to bid come and see how clean this car is. I am willing to help with any and all shipping needs at buyers expense. Please contact me with any offers since I have the car advertised locally and the auction can end at anytime. Thank you for looking at my ad you won't be disappointed with this one. Behind the scenes of BMW's 'Drift Mob,' Part 1
Sat, 28 Jun 2014Generally speaking, marketing and journalism don't mix, but every now and then, what goes into the marketing of a car - the 2015 BMW M235i, in this case - is worth documenting. In that spirit, we took BMW up on its offer to bring us behind the scenes of its upcoming "drift mob" video, starring five red M235i coupes frolicking around a traffic circle in a major world city (BMW has asked us to be coy about which one so as not to blow its cover before the shoot).
The five drivers can all be considered legends of modern-day drifting and stunt driving: Rhys Millen, Samuel Hübinette, Dai Yoshihara, Rich Rutherford and Conrad Grunewald.
As the only US media outlet in attendance, Autoblog plans to follow up with a full story on the experience once BMW polishes and releases the video in a month or so. In the meantime, check out our photos of this epic practice session we captured on our first day hanging with the crew, and be sure to watch this space for more behind-the-scenes action.
BMW gearing up for Sochi Olympics with bobsled documentary [w/video]
Fri, Jan 3 2014BMW might be a German brand, but that isn't keeping its US branch from helping out Team USA as the 22nd Winter Olympics gets set to kick off in Sochi, Russia next month. We last reported on BMW's partnership with Team USA's bobsled team in November of 2012, but with barely a month until the opening ceremony, it's about time we hear something new about the team's progress. And that's exactly what's going to happen when Driving on Ice airs this Sunday afternoon. The documentary charts the progress of the Team USA/BMW partnership to redesign the team's two-man bobsled for an event in which the USA hasn't captured gold in since 1936. And if you're concerned that this will be nothing more than a long advertisement for BMW, then you'll enjoy knowing that the program has more to do with the Team USA bobsledders than with the automaker. Even the trailer stars a number of team members and coaches, along with BMW DesignWorks USA's Michael Scully, lead designer on the program. There's a short preview embedded below, so if you just can't wait for next month's Olympics to kick off, you'll want to tune into NBC at 12:30 pm (Eastern time). Scroll down to watch the video preview and check out the full press release from BMW. BMW Slides into 2014 Winter Olympic Year with Announcement of U.S. Olympic Marketing Campaign, Bobsled Documentary. "Driving on Ice," a Film About BMW's Redesign of the Team USA Two-man Bobsled, to Air This Sunday on NBC. Woodcliff Lake, NJ – January 3, 2013... BMW of North America, the Official Mobility Partner of the United States Olympic Committee (USOC), today announced its U.S. Olympic marketing campaign for the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games which includes a series of Olympic-themed advertisments, consumer and retail activations, social and digital media executions, and a national drive campaign to benefit Team USA. In addition, a documentary on BMW's complete redesign of the U.S. two-man bobsled entitled "Driving on Ice" will air this Sunday, Jan. 5 at 12:30 p.m. EST/11:30 a.m. CST on NBC. "Driving on Ice" chronicles BMW's collaboration with the USA Bobsled & Skeleton Federation (USBSF) to deliver a fleet of six new two-man bobsleds, applying the automaker's world-class design and engineering expertise to help Team USA chase its first Olympic gold medal in the event since 1936.
Bunny couldn't out hop a BMW M3 on-track
Mon, 15 Jul 2013Driving a car is a dangerous hobby, and not just because of other drivers or poor roads. Sometimes, it seems like even the wildlife is out to get you, as evidenced here, here, here, here and here. Now, we can add one more unfortunate car-versus-animal encounter to the tally.
Perhaps believing that this bright orange BMW M3 GTS was a very fast, very loud carrot, an unfortunate bunny leaped into its windshield in a brutal accident at a Polish racetrack. Considering the M3's speed at the time, 89 miles per hour, the passengers are lucky to be okay. Obviously, Bugs didn't make it.
The BMW isn't in such great shape, though. The windshield is in a bit of a state, with safety glass sprayed all over the passenger side of the cabin. There doesn't appear to be any sheetmetal damage, at least from what we can tell from the video. Although there isn't any blood, the hit is really hard. The initial point of impact is at 0:57. Check out the video below.
