2003 M5 in superb, original condition.
Highlights include:
Carbon Black Metallic paint.I am the second owner of this beautiful M5. I snapped it up from the BMW dealer when it was traded in by the first owner.
Black Extended Leather interior.
Rear sunshades.
Split fold-down rear seat.
Enhanced Premium Sound.
48712 original miles.
No dents, no bodywork or paintwork.
I have put 6,941 miles on it since I bought it in 11/2010.
I have taken excellent care of this car since buying it.
This car has been garaged and driven only during the warm months (no winter driving, no salt).
I have not raced or tracked this car. In fact, I have never fully explored the capabilities of this amazing car.
This car is factory stock, with the exception of added Motorola blue tooth, Valentine one radar detector, (integrated into the rear view mirror), and an I-pod docking station.
This is by far the finest car I have ever driven.
The build quality is excellent. I just bought a 335d to have as my year-round car and as nice as that is, the M5 is way more car.
Since I can not bring myself to drive this car in the winter (one could if the proper tire package was installed), I have decided to part with it.
There are no issues with this car, no surprises, no gremlins lurking.
I did just install a brand new battery.
NYS inspection was just completed and passed.
Condition is outstanding as the pictures show.
This is a private sale so terms will be cash sale to the highest bidder.
Serious buyers are welcome to come to my house and inspect this car and drive it, or I can provide additional photos and information if desired.

EVO takes flight in BMW's sultry i8
Mon, 15 Sep 2014Electric cars and hybrids are here to stay, much to the apparent dismay of some auto enthusiasts, but that doesn't mean they have to represent the death of enjoyable driving. Granted, the initial run of hybrids in the US like the Honda Insight and Toyota Prius weren't exactly tailor-made for aggressive folks behind the wheel, but things are clearly changing. In its latest video, Evo takes a look at three examples from Europe's new crop of electrified vehicles to show that the future of fun motoring is safe and sound.
Evo editor Henry Catchpole kicks things off with one of the most bizarre EVs of the bunch, the tiny Renault Twizy. Its low power and 50-mile-per-hour top speed might make it miles away from a hot hatch, but there's still fun to be had in extracting the most from this little city car. Next up is the Audi A3 E-Tron, which isn't technically available yet. It's a step in the right direction of eventually creating an affordable, fun-to-drive hybrid hot hatch.
However, the main event is Catchpole getting some seat time in the BMW i8. The Bimmer can really fly -literally in this case - and the butterfly-door coupe offers a clear look at the prospects for electrified sports cars. It might not have the power of hybrid supercar contemporaries like the LaFerrari or Porsche 918 Spyder, but the BMW doesn't cost nearly as much, either. See? Improved efficiency doesn't have to mean boring.
BMW Shanghai: Driving in mega cities, designing the future and more

The BMW enclave is a suitable mix of high-tech and throwback cool.
A few days before the Shanghai Motor Show kicked off, we were part of an international group of media that was invited to have a look at the BMW Designworks Shanghai Studio and ConnectedDrive Lab facility. The building that BMW found to house its Chinese think tank is in a lovely part of Shanghai known as the former French Concession. The late 1890s and early 1900s French architectural style, brick-paved streets and tree-lined spaces feel a world apart from the ultra-modern heart of Shanghai, and the BMW enclave is a suitable mix of high-tech and throwback cool.
BMW Films are on the way back [w/videos]
Mon, 17 Feb 2014The BMW Films series caused a stir in 2001 and 2002 by combining top-quality cinematography, Hollywood names and driving excitement to sell its sporty wares in a whole new way. By arriving five years before YouTube, they ranked as some of the earliest viral videos on the internet. By now, these sorts of films are almost commonplace, but back when BMW hit upon the idea, the idea of brand-integrated short films on the internet was still a novelty. Now, for the first time in over a decade, the German automaker is planning on bringing back BMW Films for a new season.
Trudy Hardy, BMW North America Vice President of Marketing, announced the series' return at the 2014 Automotive News World Congress in Detroit, according to Ad Age. However, neither the German brand nor Anonymous Content, the original production company, have been willing to comment further on when the new videos are coming.
The original series of eight films starred Clive Owen as the Driver (back then, Owen was largely unknown to American audiences), a mercenary who would take a variety of jobs and always drive a BMW. David Fincher executive produced the first season and directors included top names like John Frankenheimer, Ang Lee and Guy Ritchie. All of the second season movies had Owen driving a Z4, but in our estimation, the quality had fallen off a bit compared to the outstanding first season.
