2007 BMW M5 has the desired SMG transmission with the v10 engine and a  customized paint job that  makes this a one of a kind M5,it's Ferrari red with white leather interior, one of a kind  color combo makes this car super rare getting compliments and questions everywhere I go,the paint was professionally done and looks absolutely amazing,it also has h&r lowering and handling suspension which gives it it's aggressive stance,I had the stock wheels powder coated black as well as the roof painted black and new black front and side grills as well,it also has a carbon fiber ac schnitzer rear roof spoiler, the white leather interior is in great shape showing little to no signs of wear as this car was always meticulously serviced and detailed and never left the garage as it never seen rain or snow, it has a never been in an accident and has a clean car fax and service records,I just had the car fully serviced including a new clutch with cost me $3800 alone all done at 70k miles, I've always loved and maintained this vehicle as I do with all my vehicles only selling it cause I just bought a gallardo and I don't have the garage room for both... This is not your average M5 which if you know bmw speaks for itself, this is a rare one of a kind M5 that truely looks and drives amazing with no problems at all needs nothing, please serious inquiries only with no time to waste for tire kickers and or lowball offers I spared no expense on this vehicle with over $10gs invested in custom modifications, no performance work done at all as car is stock and untouched from its factory performance specs with the exception of the exhaust which makes it sound amazing,I have the original exhaust and suspension, real head turner and true beauty

BMW hires Ferrari chief engineer Fedeli

Wed, 08 Oct 2014

There's going to be a little bit more Prancing Horse in some future BMWs because the Bavarian brand is hiring Ferrari chief engineer Roberto Fedeli to join the company in November. Fedeli's new position is still somewhat of a mystery though, and he reportedly might be lending his talents to the high performance M division or possibly even Rolls-Royce. When asked by Automotive News Europe, BMW said that it "currently can't say what his role will be."
Regardless of his new job, Fedeli was a big get for BMW because of his strong résumé. He has been with Ferrari since 1988 and led the engineering for the famous Italian automaker's vehicles since 2007. Fedeli tendered his resignation in September at around the same time that chairman Luca di Montezemolo announced his decision to leave the company. However, Ferrari told ANE that there was no connection between the two events.

BMW X4 M40i caught production-ready

Wed, 22 Oct 2014

It seems like BMW is pretty committed to this whole X4 thing. Aside from the current xDrive28i and xDrive35i, we've captured a round of spy photos showing what our spy shooters tell us is a more dynamic M40i model.
The higher-performance hunchback follows in the footsteps of BMW's other sub-M cars like the M235i. In fact, much like the high-po 2 Series, the M40i is expected to make use of a 3.0-liter, turbocharged six-cylinder, developing 365 to 375 horsepower.
Aside from that, the rest of the X4 M40i fits the brief of other near-M models, with a more aggressive body kit, larger wheels, firmer suspension and brawnier brakes. Expect some mild tweaks inside, too, including sportier seats and an M-specific steering wheel.

Old vs. new debate gets new life with $25,000 Fiesta ST vs. E46 M3 showdown

Fri, 10 Jan 2014

You know who you are. There's probably a few of you reading; the ones that say, "Why would I spend $27,000 on a new Mazda MX-5 when I could get a used Chevrolet Corvette with more power." Yes, we're talking to you, used car proponents. While it is a fair argument, it's not like used cars don't come with drawbacks of their own, though.
In an attempt to put this new-versus-used argument to bed once and for all, Matt Farah of the The Smoking Tire has picked up a pair of $25,000 cars - a used, but lightly modified, 2003 BMW M3 and a 2013 Ford Fiesta ST. Naturally, there's a comparison.
Farah, as he's wont to do, does get into the nitty gritty of what each car is like to drive, and discusses the merits of used and new-car shopping. But as he rightly points out while testing the M3, "So, it is a good car. But like any used car, it really does depend on the individual car."
