2006 Bmw M5 Sedan V10 All Records Updated Clutch New Tires Adult Owned on 2040-cars
Evansville, Indiana, United States
2006 BMW M5 that has been my personal vehicle for the past three years. All M5s come loaded up with a long list of standard options and this has almost all additional options such as heated and cooled seats, suede headliner, heads up display, iPod connector, satelite radio and perforated seats. In addition, the 20in black mesh rims with brand new (500-900 miles only) Kumho ZR rated tires and full alignment. Full tinted glass keeps interior cool.
This M5 has been professionally maintained its entire life, with all service records from BMW. This car had a new clutch installed at my request when I purchased the vehicle (76k), though it was not needed. Previous owner put a majority of the miles on the interstate traveling between his two office locations. Currently has 98k on it, but she is only a weekend driver now. In addition, new OEM pads have been installed, new oil cooler, and all services are current and have always been kept up to date. If you are looking for a car that always turns heads and will always have strangers compliment you on a daily basis, then this is the car for you. This car needs nothing but to be enjoyed. Only flaws are minor wear on seat bolster, some small rock chips, and some curb rash on the wheels. No dents or scratches and it has always been garaged. I do have the OEM rims with new Continentals on them and Nitrogen filled that can be purchased with the car. I will not separate until the car is sold so that the new owner has the option of taking them or not. I have had a company car (in addition to a SUV) for the past year so this only now gets driven on nice sunny warm days. This is a three owner (including me) car and I purchased from dealer that sold new and serviced the vehicle. |

BMW Active Tourer to hit US showrooms in 2015
Tue, 26 Nov 2013It's been over a year since BMW unveiled the Concept Active Tourer at the Paris Motor Show, and another four months since it brought the concept back in Outdoor guise (pictured above). Now word has it that the Bavarian automaker is putting it into production.
Although production specs and dimensions have yet to be revealed, the Concept Active Tourer came in a bit smaller than the existing BMW X1. The production version is expected to be based on the same platform that underpins the new Mini hatchback revealed last week in LA, meaning that it will be predominantly front-drive, but an all-wheel-drive version could follow.
There will also be a longer version with a third row of seats, forming part of a new generation of front-drive BMWs to take on the likes of the Audi A1 and Mercedes-Benz A-Class family, of which the GLA will be the Active Tourer's most direct rival. Expect the Active Tourer to arrive in 2015 with a new front-drive sedan to follow in 2017 aimed particularly at the North American and Chinese markets.
Xcar celebrates 100-year anniversary with Model T tribute
Fri, Jan 9 2015Never mind the fact that XCar hasn't been making videos for the last 100 years, the British duo have gone all silent-moving-pictures in order to make their centenary case for the Ford Model T, a car that was already seven years old in 1915. It's not a review, but a mostly sepia-tinged look at the car that started the mass-market adventure by taking that biblical advice to be fruitful and multiply and populate the Earth abundantly. Since it looks like Xcar is celebrating some kind of milestone, we've also included another video below of the first Xcar review we could find, covering the BMW M1, from the much more recent past - circa 2012.
BMW i3 wins 2015 Green Car of the Year award
Thu, Nov 20 2014The popular little BMW i3 (popular in the US, at least) was named the 2015 Green Car of the Year at the Los Angeles Auto Show today. The award doesn't just take into account a car's green credentials but also its "availability to the mass market." While the i3 is a bit expensive, starting at $41,350, it is becoming available at BMW dealers across the country, which cannot be said about a lot of other new plug-in vehicles released these past few years. The other finalists this year were the CNG-powered Chevy Impala Bi-Fuel, the Audi A3 TDI, the Honda Fit and the VW Golf. The BMW i3 with range extender gets a fuel economy rating of 117 MPGe and 39 miles per gallon (in gas mode) with a 72-mile EV range. The EV-only version gets 124 MPGe combined (137 in the city and 111 on the highway) and has an EV range of 81 miles. Green Car Journal has handed out the award every year for ten years now, naming the Honda Accord Hybrid/Plug-In Hybrid the winner last year, the Ford Fusion models (plug-in hybrid and hybrid) in 2013, the Honda Civic Natural Gas in 2012 and the Chevrolet Volt in 2011. BMW i3 NAMED GREEN CAR JOURNAL'S 2015 GREEN CAR OF THE YEAR" Milestone Carbon Fiber Electric Car Wins the Auto Industry's Most Important Environmental Award at Los Angeles Auto Show LOS ANGELES, CA (November 20, 2014) – BMW's i3, an innovative electric car built with a lightweight carbon fiber passenger cell and an aluminum drive module, has been named Green Car Journal's 2015 Green Car of the Year®, which was announced at the LA Auto Show. Green Car of the Year® finalists also included the Audi A3 TDI, Chevrolet Impala Bi-Fuel, Honda Fit, and VW Golf. The Green Car of the Year® award is an honor widely recognized as the auto industry's most important environmental accolade. Green Car Journal, the leading voice in the intersection of automobiles, energy, and the environment since the publication's launch in 1992, celebrates the high-profile award's 10th anniversary at the L.A. Auto Show this year. "BMW's i3 is a milestone vehicle in many respects and illustrates the automaker's expansive vision of future motoring," said Ron Cogan, editor and publisher of Green Car Journal and CarsOfChange.com.
