For sale is my beautiful M5. I have owned this car since June 2008 (2nd owner) and am very knowledgeable about the car and its history (see more details below). This M5 is in pristine condition - there is absolutely nothing wrong with the car whatsoever from interior to exterior. Clear title and clean history/carfax.  Aside from the routine/scheduled maintenance there have been only 2 instances of unexpected repairs during my ownership - replaced the passenger seat occupancy sensor in Feb 2012 and fixed the idle control actuator in Mar 2012.  No additional and/or significant issues at all - my mechanic (Precision Motors in Costa Mesa, CA) loves the way my M5 runs and the trouble-free nature of the car.  Oil change just completed. No lien, title in hand for a smooth transaction.  Just had a new addition to the family so unfortunately this car has to go - take advantage of the cheap price because of the high mileage only.  This M5 is solid!

BIN price is FIRM.  Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipment of the vehicle - I prefer face-to-face deals so I can go over the car with the prospective buyer in person but I will ship if necessary. Please contact me via email, serious inquiries only. Thanks!

2015 BMW M4 Coupe ditches some doors, gains some grunt

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

If you saw our earlier post about the hot new BMW M3 Sedan and were about to call blasphemy for no coupe version, just settle down, silly. Remember: BMW now badges its two-door 3 Series models with the number four, and thus, meet the 2015 M4 Coupe. Looks hot, right?
So yeah, it's pretty much just the M3 with two less doors, but that doesn't make it any less important - or potent. Power comes from a turbocharged, 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine, sending 425 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels via either a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. You know, the usual.
Not only is the M4 more powerful than the M3 Coupe it replaces, it's a good deal lighter, too. BMW has managed to cut 176 pounds of weight out of the M4, and that means, with the increased output numbers, that the M4 will scoot to 60 miles per hour in 3.9 seconds with the DCT or 4.1 seconds with the do-it-yourself tranny. Either way, that's not what we'd call slow.

BMW joins the early holiday advertising fray with three new ads

Thu, 06 Nov 2014

October 31 is no longer known as Halloween, or All Saints' Eve or even as that day when all children simultaneously develop huge cavities. It's now known as the day before Christmas/holiday advertising begins. Seriously, as of November 1, it seems like companies across the country and from every industry have declared open season on holiday ad campaigns. It's all premature enough that we're already feeling our inner Grinch showing, but at least some of the ads are better done than others.
Among them are new spots from BMW, which has arrived with this mini-campaign of three 30-second, Christmas-themed spots. There's a cameo from Santa Claus, who's at the helm of a sleek M6 Gran Coupe in one spot, while a 3 Series Gran Coupe slices through a slalom of Christmas trees in another. The final spot, called "Road Home", doesn't focus so much on the brand's "Ultimate Driving Machines," as it does the trip home for the holidays.
We've embedded all three videos below, so take a look and then let us know what you think of this seemingly perpetual holiday marketing calendar creep - and the BMW ads in particular - in Comments.
