E36 M3 Precision 6466, Z06 Brakes, One Of A Kind! on 2040-cars
Tempe, Arizona, United States
Hello Car Enthausiasts,
I think it's time I put my car up for sale. When I first started the project it was three years ago and now I would like to settle in something more comfortable. The car has been in AZ all these years and it has zero rust. The chasis has 228K miles on it. Every single part installed in the car has less than 2 years on it, some have less than a couple of months. Yes, I installed everything you see on the car! The motor itself was fully rebuilt and now has only 41,000 miles on it. Motor refresh with Head gasket, ARP studs, and all new gaskets has about 2,000 miles. I've had the car for 3 years now and only drove her for maybe 5,000 miles. I mainly had one goal in mind. Build the fastest, most stable E36 that still has radio and functioning Sunroof and windows. Well I did! The car has been on the track only once in March 2013 for Modified Magazine Tuner shootout. This was the first German car to ever enter the event. I will include a copy of the magazine. They kept mentioning how great the car performed with zero problems all weekend in AZ heat. Other cars broke down right and left but not my M3 because I built her right. I also didn't install any of the parts myself. All the parts were installed by professionals and most of them by a senior technician at BMW. It's hard to believe a car like this wasn't raced before but she has been a garage queen for the last three years. And now to the mods: Exterior: Professionally modified front bumper for more intercooler airflow DTM style front lip DTM Fiberwerkz GTR-S vented front Fenders DTM Fiberwerkz Rear Fenders DTM Fiberwerkz Carbon fiber cannards ACS Authentic side skirts ACS Authentic rear bumper Custom hood cutout for turbo to fit The M3 no longer has the high rise wing Interior: Sparco Sprint 5 driver seat Sparco Passenger seat (Reclinable) Sparco Driver seat mount Sparto Passenger Seat mount Sparco Slider / Driver Sparco Slider / Passenger TC Kline 6 point bolt in roll cage - White OMP steering wheel Sparco Steering wheel mount / Adapter Alpine Deck with Ipod hookup and also plays CD's NO AC - The AC can be put back in with custom AC lines. Watch man destroy his M6 'lemon' with a sledgehammer and ax
Tue, 17 Sep 2013Just to be clear, the owner of this BMW M6 isn't ready for another one. He and his friend destroyed the V10-powered coupe in anger at the entrance to the Frankfurt Motor Show in a decidedly public fashion. Bild and GT Spirit report that the owner was angry over mysterious quality and reliability issues that he claims BMW wasn't able to fix. What we have here, folks, is claimed to be a very expensive lemon.
As the story goes, owner Pourmohseni Hadi bought the 2007 M6 in 2008, and five years later, he is still complaining about mysterious vibrations, rattles and severe jolts during gear changes - the latter he says have caused passengers to become nauseous. The car was taken to several BMW repair shops in Italy and Hadi says he he has written a letter to the automaker about his issues, but the car was never fixed and the letter unanswered, he claims. What we don't know is how many miles the car has been driven and when all these problems started happening. The situation reminds us of a certain Lamborghini Gallardo from a couple years back.
While we understand Hadi's frustration, perhaps an M6 just doesn't suit his tastes. After all, we'd be lying if we said a perfectly functioning M6 of this generation wasn't bumpy over uneven surfaces and wouldn't make some passengers nauseous, with its stiffly sprung suspension and dizzying 500-horsepower V10. Anyone wanna bet his M6 was equipped with one of BMW's notoriously abrupt SMG single-clutch gearboxes?

Audi to spend $17 billion to fight BMW
Sat, 29 Dec 2012It's no secret that VW Group, parent company to not only Volkswagen but also Audi, Bugatti, Bentley, Lamborghini, Porsche and Ducati brands sold in the US, is determined to become the world's largest automaker. Even more impressive is that VW is prepared to spend billions to make it happen.
With that comes word that VW Group will be spending $17 billion on its Audi brand over the next three years to push itself above rival BMW. The money will be invested in both vehicle development (including lightweight auto design and alternative powertrains) and facilities (including expansion in Hungary, China and new operations in Mexico). The luxury brand is focused on global manufacturing infrastructure.
Already Europe's best-selling luxury brand, Audi's objective is to overtake BMW by the end of the decade by selling more than two million cars per year (BMW is shooting for 1.54 million sales in 2013). If those objectives are met, VW Group should be on track to be the industry's volume leader by 2018.
