UP FOR SALE IS THE VERY DESIRABLE BMW M3.  ALL ORIGINAL BODY AND INTERIOR IN SHOWROOM CONDITION.  This car was a southern car for most of its life.  It has been garaged and has never seen snow or salt. This car has been professionally taken care of by a few BMW enthusiasts since birth. This car is so clean and straight that it just won an overall second place at the 2012 BMW sponsored Concours d'Elagance  here in the northeast. (see photo in the Keeler Motor Car Showroom).  This BMW has a flawless shine and runs as well as it looks.  It has a DINAN upgraded chipset (orig. chip is included), with matching headers as well as a custom stainless steel exhaust system and a custom made free flow muffler.  This car sounds amazing.  The engine bay is immaculate and comes with a K&N cold air intake that is fed by custom ductwork directly from the front spoiler where there is true cold air. Not to mention this cold air is being fed directly into an oversized throttle body feeding the famous BMW S50 OBD1 engine. All the common E36 cooling issues have been addressed with a new upgraded aluminum radiator and fan.  The wheels are BBS ///M wheels offset,  with Potenza RE050a 225-40R18R on the front and Potenza 255-35R18 on the rear. All four tires are at 60%.  The famous M3 lightweight BMW MOTORSPORTS striping over the Alpine white is a real attention grabber wherever it goes.  The suspension is track ready with BILSTEIN Sport shocks along with Bavarian Autosport Performance Springs.  This setup gives the car a lower,(1 1/2"),  more aggressive ride without sacrificing ride quality. Believe me, this car handles incredible.  The interior has Dove Grey Vader seats that are almost perfect with just a slight bit of wear on the drivers bolster, all original interior except for the professionally installed matching three gauges in the pocket on the consol. This car has been pampered and never been tracked. No cleaner, fresher E-36 on e-bay!  The carfax has an error listed on the mileage in Greenwich CT.  It has been corrected in the DMV. The previous owner wrote 127 K but it was misread as 157K by the DMV clerk.  If you need any additional photos or have any questions please feel free to email me.  Happy Bidding.

2016 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance: It's all in the details

Mon, Aug 22 2016

It's no secret that Pebble Beach is an ode to gorgeous, and mostly, classic cars. The car show may be a place for automakers to showcase extremely expensive cars to wealthy buyers, but it's also one of the go-to places for enthusiasts that love automobiles and culture. While it's easy to be overwhelmed by the overall beauty of a car, the real magic often needs closer inspection to be realized. Every car at Pebble Beach is a work of art, but the true beauty of the vehicles lies in the details. And Autoblog's photographer, Drew Phillips, managed to capture the details on some gorgeous cars. From the Lamborghini Miura's exquisite steering wheel to Rolls-Royce's Spirit of Ecstasy, it's all at Pebble Beach. We think the details on some of the cars are prettier than the cars themselves, but don't take our word for it. Check out the beautiful gallery above and enjoy the tiny bits and pieces behind some of the prettiest cars in the world. Jalopnik and Consumer Reports see who can pull off the best snow drift

Fri, Feb 20 2015

The weather throughout much of the United States is pretty awful at the moment with some combination of extremely low temperatures, inches of snow and maybe some ice underneath it all. The folks at Jalopnik and Consumer Reports are making the absolute best out of a difficult situation by heading to CR's snow-covered test track and attempting to make the longest drift in a quartet of very different performance vehicles. Jalopnik brought along a Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S Wagon, a Subaru WRX STI, a BMW 228i and a 1973 Volkswagen Baja Bug (heck yeah!) for the challenge. Also, the track was perfect for this group, with a mix of packed snow in places and still a few inches of unsullied powder in spots too. Ostensibly the goal was to get the tail to step out through a particular corner, but in reality this was more about having hilarious fun in the snow with fast cars. The result just looks like the best time humanly possible in this weather.

BMW to follow Honda back into F1?

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

The economic downturn wrought devastating effects on motor racing. Formula One alone lost half its engine suppliers when Honda left at the end of the 2008 season, and both BMW and Toyota followed at the end of 2009. But things are looking up again. Cosworth may have dropped out this season, reducing the engine suppliers to three: Ferrari, Renault and Mercedes, the latter of which admits that it may have left had the engine formula not changed. But Mercedes has stayed and is dominating the championship. Honda is coming back next season. And word around the paddock is it may not be the only one.
According to Giancarlo Minardi - founder of the team now known as Scuderia Toro Rosso - BMW engineers have been conspicuously spotted lately at F1 test sessions and grands prix, lending to speculation that the new engine regulations may entice the Bavarian automaker back into the series. According to Minardi, BMW's marketing division is pushing for the automaker's return to F1, with the board slated to make a decision in May. BMW would be more likely to consider an engine-supply deal rather than taking a team over like it had with Sauber, but with which team or teams it might collaborate remains a big question mark at this point.
As if that's not enough, Ford is said to be considering taking over Cosworth's aborted V6 turbo engine program to take both outfits back into the sport as well. Cosworth supplied F1 engines under the Ford banner for years, but returned under its own name for four seasons from 2010 through 2013 before shuttering its program to develop an engine to meet the new regulations adopted this season.
