Clean title, no accidents, no major blemishes.

This car has been nothing short of perfect the entire time I have had it. No headaches, no maintenance other then normal brakes, wipers and oil changes, and absolutely a blast to drive.

The car has gunmetal 18" wheels and Pilot Sport Tires with a healthy amount of tread still on them. One rear wheel has a couple nics, but other than that, they are 100%.

The body has no major damage, but a few nics and scrapes here and there. Nothing outside 'normal' for a car with close to 30,000 miles.

The car is bone stock, with the exception of a hardwire kit for a Valentine One (wiring will be left, but radar detector is not included) and the factory aluminum interior trim was wrapped in gunmetal grey vinyl for a more subdued look.

Car is currently located in Metro Detroit Michigan, but lived it's entire life (up until a few months ago) in South Florida. Moving up to this climate is pushing the sale as I'd hate to have hit sitting in the garage all winter.

CarFax report available on request.

KBB has the car listed from $38,500 in 'Good', $39,400 in 'Very Good' and $40,200 in 'Excellent'. NADA has the car at $38,000 for 'Clean Trade-In' and $41,475 for 'Clean Retail'.
Although I consider the car 'Excellent' I factored all those numbers into my asking price, which I feel is priced to sell quickly.

How to charge up your BMW i3 with a Honda

Sat, Sep 13 2014

Behold a cheaper version of BMW's range extender for its i3 plug-in. And it's brought to you by ... Honda? Sort of, if you take the approach that Gadget Review took when it looked for an alternative to ponying up the $4,000 or so for the gas-powered i3 range extender that comes from the factory. What was procured was a Honda portable generator for Home Depot for the experiment, which involved gassing the generator up in a parking lot, plugging in the i3 and going out for a cup of coffee. The result was that, after about a half-hour of charging, the i3 picked up about four miles of driving range. Not exactly revolutionary but it least a bit instructive. And given that Honda generators start at about $800, the idea, while clunky, is potentially cash-saving. Gadget Review briefly took the experiment one-step further by trying to run the generator inside the back of the car and plugging in, complete with a rigged-up ventilation system, but the host thought better of it once he realized that there'd be suffocation involved. Why this was never tried on the Nissan Leaf, we'll never know. Check out Gadget Review's five-minute video below.

2015 BMW X4 is a budget X6

Wed, 16 Apr 2014

We won't argue that crossovers are hugely successful vehicles, with automakers working to provide functional CUVs in a wide range of sizes. But over at BMW, things are just getting out of hand, as evidenced by this new X4 "Sports Activity Coupe" that debuts here at the 2014 New York Auto Show.
BMW is seeing fit to offer vehicles in even the most niche of niches, and the X4 is no exception. Want proof? Have a look at the X4, and the compare it to the X3, the 3 Series Gran Turismo, the 3 Series Sport Wagon, and the 4 Series Gran Coupe. Aside from marginal differences in things like ground clearance and the exact slope of the hatchback, what, exactly, is the difference?
Like the other models we just mentioned, the X4 is powered by either a 2.0-liter turbo-four with 240 horsepower or a more powerful, 3.0-liter turbo-six with 300 horsepower, and unsurprisingly, power is sent to the ground exclusively via the company's xDrive all-wheel-drive system. An eight-speed automatic transmission is the sole gearbox available with either engine. All sounds very familiar, right?

M-thusiast pops the question at BMW Welt

Tue, 02 Sep 2014

We've seen all manner of marriage proposals over the years, but our favorites, of course, revolve around cars. One guy proposed to his girlfriend at a traffic stop, another during an autocross event, while yet another got dozens of Mazda MX-5 owners together to spell "Marry Me?" in Miatas. This latest proposal, however, put the M in Marriage as only a BMW enthusiast could.
While visiting BMW Welt in Munich, Bachir from Lebanon rolled out in a new blue M3 and got down on one knee in front of the gathered crowds to pop the question to Layal, his girlfriend of one year.
We'll let you watch the clip for yourself to see how it went, but suffice it to say that she was delighted. The couple plan to drive to the church in a procession of M cars for what promises to be a high-octane ceremony in their home country.
