If you are looking at this car, chances are you know a fair amount about it. However if not here is some info on the ZCP/Competition package and SMG transmission

Competition/ZCP Package- This was offered by BMW for only the last two production years of the E46 ('05 & '06) It is basically a "de-tuned" european CSL version (which is extremely rare and normally reaches 6 figure prices) The differences from a normal M3 to an M3 with the Competition package are listed below..
- Larger compound and cross drilled brake rotors
- Different steering rack similar to a CSL, has a tighter ratio, steers completely different from an M3
- Alcantra wrapped Steering wheel, SMG gear selector, and e-brake handle.
- All cruise and stereo buttons removed from steering wheel, fitted only with a Track Mode button that changes the rear diff and traction control settings
- 19" csl wheels (very light weight).
- Competition/ZCP only brushed aluminum trim
To me a ZCP car is very different from a normal m3. You get more of an "experience" driving the car.

SMG Transmission- It is the exact same gearbox as the 6 speed manual that was offered. The only difference being the clutch is controlled by a hydraulic pump controlled by a brain box. There is no clutch pedal in the car, but it is a manual. You have to drive it like a manual, and get used to driving it like a manual. The car "operates" the clutch as you press on the gas pedal. There are many cool features like 6 different shift maps you can select from to change the severity of the gear change, also rev matching on down shifts, and launch control. This transmission shifts faster than a human in S6 mode, and really cannot ever "miss" a shift like a human. It is faster than the 6 speed manual car.

Car was originally from California, then shipped to previous owner in Illinois (Chicago Area), and now owned by me in MN.
I am the third owner of the car.

It has 51,000 miles and slowly rising

I have a full photobucket album available with pictures of the car. (over 70 pictures) Please contact me for further info or the link to this album.

Thank you and have a great day

2016 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance: It's all in the details

Mon, Aug 22 2016

It's no secret that Pebble Beach is an ode to gorgeous, and mostly, classic cars. The car show may be a place for automakers to showcase extremely expensive cars to wealthy buyers, but it's also one of the go-to places for enthusiasts that love automobiles and culture. While it's easy to be overwhelmed by the overall beauty of a car, the real magic often needs closer inspection to be realized. Every car at Pebble Beach is a work of art, but the true beauty of the vehicles lies in the details. And Autoblog's photographer, Drew Phillips, managed to capture the details on some gorgeous cars. From the Lamborghini Miura's exquisite steering wheel to Rolls-Royce's Spirit of Ecstasy, it's all at Pebble Beach. We think the details on some of the cars are prettier than the cars themselves, but don't take our word for it. Check out the beautiful gallery above and enjoy the tiny bits and pieces behind some of the prettiest cars in the world. Honda scores big in Automobile Advertising of the Year Awards [w/videos]

Wed, 15 Jan 2014

This year the Detroit Auto Show didn't just celebrate the automobile, it celebrated how we find out about the automobile, too. Partnering The One Club, this year introduced the 2014 One Show Automobile Advertising of the Year Award to Cobo Hall, celebrating winners in five different categories of advertising: broadcast television, online, interactive, experiential, and print/outdoor. Winners in those categories were judged by 50 creative directors and journalists, while a Public Choice category was chosen from among nearly 20,000 online votes.
Honda walked off with three of the six awards, its Hands spot taking Broadcast honors, its Sound of Honda getting the Online category and Illusions winning Public Choice. Hyundai made the grade in Interactive with Driveway Decision Maker, Fiat captured Print/Outdoor with its "Letters" ad, and Toyota's Tundra Endeavor Campaign spot and BMW's A Window into the Near Future were co-winners for Experiential.
You can watch all of the press release and winning videos below or check out all of the finalists, announced last month, for a refresher.

BMW X7 rumored to get BMW's best interior, 130,000-euro price

Tue, Mar 24 2015

Spanish outlet Motor.es has some info on the coming BMW X7, the sport activity vehicle that will take the Munich brand to the penultimate SUV segment. Unnamed sources said BMW has been working on both the X7 and the future Rolls-Royce all-terrain vehicle for almost two years, and that in BMW guise it will ride on the CLAR (CLuster ARchitecture) platform that will make an appearance later this year under the new 7 Series. The Rolls-Royce, on the other hand, will get its own aluminum spaceframe. The two vehicles will share components, though, which are now being tested. Running gear and engines will borrow from the X5 and X6 tool chests, with rear- and all-wheel-drive configurations mooted and engines ranging from the TwinPower 3.0-liter six-cylinder to an uprated version of the 6.0-liter V12 in the 760iL. The 4.4-liter V8 is mentioned as the middle child and perhaps the base for an X7 M, should one be made. A plug-in hybrid offering could swipe the unit from the X5 xDrive40e PHEV, good for 55MPGe in that current application. The interior, we're told, will be the nicest seen on any BMW, said to surpass that of the new 7 Series. We'll have to wait two years to find out how close all of that is to the mark, but the tidbit that might need some salt sprinkled on it right now is the predicted price: Motor.es says 130,000 euros in Europe, to start. That's not the first time a sky-high price has been predicted, but a leap that far beyond the six-figure mark would readjust all of our expectations for the vehicle when an X5 cost 53,700 euros in France and an X6 costs 70,900 euros. Other outlets predict US pricing to start from around $60,000; the X5 costs $53,900 here, the X6 is $59,600.
